Kindred Central thank you !! My friend was a patient in the ICU a this great facility, on his last days of existence. He got treated with dignity, respect, kindness & compassion. Although he was critical ill - Kindred Central your ICU nurses Luciana and Mike made him their first priority. We noticed only two nurses were in the floor that day, each nurse had 3 patients made it stress seamless. I would like to thank Pulmonary for providing a thorough prognostic to the family and help making the best possible decision. Special thank you to the patient representative for her comforting words, for making sure we were comfortable in the small waiting room near the ICU. Maria constantly rounded, allowed us to be there with our friends, delivered refreshments, snacks and offered condolences on behalf of the Kindred Central Family. Great team, amazing, respectful, professional staff, but most importantly compassionate. Kindred Central thank you !!!

My grandma was there for a little over a month and my family and I were extremely happy with the administrative department at the hospital. We were especially happy with Maria Miranda and all the staff, nurses, doctors and physical therapists. We have no complaints with this hospital. The staff would always address any issues we had as soon as possible and would answer calls. They also made my grandma feel comfortable by having staff members who spoke Spanish and could communicate with her. My grandma thankfully is recovering and has been transferred to a rehabilitation facility but her time at Kindred Hospital definitely met and exceeded expectations. Our family would like to send a big thanks for all the staff and amazing people who helped us through our journey with my grandma.

Kindred Central you have a cohesive medical staff giving their best in critical moments. Although he passed; we are thankful, grateful to all of you for making him your first priority, we witnessed all the efforts provided from all of you to keep him alive, the compassion, support. warm and encouraging words from Marisol the Nursing Supervisor, Cori the CM, the RN that came from out her office to give compressions and specially Maria the patient advocate for letting us be in her office. Maria gathered with all of us , provided snacks , water and comforting words to make sure we were okay. Kindred Central Tampa ; thank you for creating the must compassionate , family oriented environment at your facility and please feel proud of all your medical professionals our heroes.

My 40 year old daughter was transferred here from Advent Health Wesley Chapel, 3/21/22extended care for chronic pancreatitis. She was stable when she arrived at Kindred. Soon she became disoriented and we were advise she had hospital Delirium. 4/20/22 she started talking to herself 4/21/22 she went blind waved my hand in front of her face she did not respond and stopped complaining of pain or talking just staring at the wall. I Told head nurse, she hand test run found out she had a yeast infection in her blood on 4/25/22 back in ICU blood pressure 70/40 back on Cather and ventilator heart rate got out of control, they moved her back to ICU. Heart rate up and downs kidneys stopped working after Advent had gotten them under control. She was back and forth to ICU several times. They did not have enough room in ICU so they would swap patients in and out. We never had a sit down conversation with any of the doctors handling her care despite many requests. On 4/23/22 one of the nurses whispered in my ear you better move her or your going to loose her. My son-in law didn’t want to move her so we agreed to let her stay. She died four days later 4/27/22 two days before her 41st birthday. I believe with all my heart she died from a blood infection, not what they put on her death certificate. If you have a loved one her please be aware and listen if a nurse tells you to move them. I am tormented daily because of my choice to leave her there and will be for the rest of my life. Wish I never put her here!!!

Kindred was good to me. They were very very good with medications and getting them to me on time. They were pretty good at keeping my bed clean. I sometimes felt that the my meal came a little late and I didn't like being working on by men but overall everyone was great. Danielle from respiratory was great and showed an interest in me as a human being and very encouraging. Mike from physical therapy was very encouraging and caring. I was very confused at times and didn't know where I was and everyone was so patient with me and reminded me where I was. I was so scared and worried and didn't trust anyone but the staff here made me feel safe and comfortable and reassured me during some of my worst days. Thank you kindred staff for all you care and compassion.

Thank you kindred heroes! You saved my wife's life and gave us a new journey and purpose in life. I like to thank Salil the director of rehab , Chandra my physical therapist , Michelle my occupational therapy for the encouragement and hard work . The respiratory therapist team were amazing , the pulmonary department outstanding weaning off my wife of the ventilator. The nursing team were excellent, caring , professional and compassionate To Maria Miranda the patient representative for always advocating for my wife and me. This has been an amazing journey, I highly recommend you to family and friends.

My stay at Kindred has been great , specially with the help of patient Representative MARIA MIRANDA'S help. She is a true professional and dedicated to patients needs at the hospital. I received help many times from her when faced with difficult issues, and all ended successfully resolved. Highly recommended to all families and friend at the hospital. Also, I want to commend DOCTOR GUERRERO for his great job as a Doctor and specially for listening to patients needs. Thank you for being so supportive.

My experience at kindred has been really good this time around. My nurses Elizabeth, yulili, and lorna were very great, They all helped me out a lot .The charge nurse Marisol was very helpful she helped me out so much The night nurses were very good I cannot forget Ms.Rose! She was so caring and knew her stuff! Angela the night nurse took great care of me as well. I want to make a special thanks to Chandra, Jasmine, Michelle,And jasmine with the Rehab team. They hot me up and moving, gaining my strength. They all motivated me so much. I cannot forget my sweetie pie Victory the patient advocate. She would come in and check on me and I would be so glad to see her. She brightened up my day. This has been such a wonderful experience and I Thank God for everyone involved in my care.

My mother was recently admitted to this hospital, and I must say, the level of care she received from the nursing, rehab, respiratory care teams was truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived until her discharge, I felt supported, cared, and confident in their expertise. The nurses, Inna, Marisol, and others were outstanding. They were attentive, compassionate, and always went above and beyond to ensure my mom’s comfort and well-being. Their positive and friendly attitudes helped create a warm and welcoming environment during challenging times. The rehab team and director Salil worked tirelessly to help her regain strength and mobility. The therapists were skilled, patient, and encouraging, pushing my mom to reach her goals while always prioritizing safety. Their individualized approach to therapy ensured that each session was tailored to her specific needs, and I could see steady progress thanks to their expertise and dedication. The respiratory team was phenomenal in managing her respiratory needs. To name few, Bob, Lauray closely monitored mom’s breathing, administered treatments promptly, and provided mom with the necessary tools and education to continue her respiratory care at home. The respiratory therapists were knowledgeable and always available to answer my questions. I highly recommend Kindred Hospital Central Tampa to anyone in need of transitional medical care. I selected them for their skilled teams, and patient-centered approach. Thank you again for my mother’s successful experience.

My father was at your facility for a short period of time , while there he received an excellent care. Everybody was amicable, respectful but most importantly professional. The nurses and techs were attentive to his needs. He was very content with the services provided. The room was always pristine, the nurse assistant always feed him, Maria the patient representative made sure he had a TV guide. She always went to his room to find the local news channel for him; since he was unable to change the channel due to retraction. The physical therapy team were so nice , they always came to moved him from the bed to the chair. Kindred Central thank you!!

I had the opportunity to visit my friend; the staff and administrators were accommodating with their visitation guidelines. Although every other facility are so strict with having one visitor per day, my friend, family are so appreciative of your level of compassion and understanding. Chris at the front desk , called the patient representative Maria , very nice, respectful, professional lovely lady who made possible for me to see my best friend. Thank you Kindred Central for creating an inviting environment to family and friends.

I visited my cousin while he was hospitalize at Kindred Central, although the visitation was only one person per day ; the administrators were accommodating and flexible to let our family visit our loved one before we left the state. Maria the patient representative was passing by the lobby , the front desk person asked if my cousin could have more than one visitor that day ; his condition was critical and we needed to see him one last time before our departure. Maria introduced herself in the most professional, kind , compassionate way as the patient advocate and granted permission, for us to have a short visit. Thank you Kindred Central; for making each in every patient your first priority and for understanding the importance of reuniting a family in the most critical and crucial moment in our life. We are grateful and we thank you for the level of compassion towards our family. I will recommend this facility to family and friends.

I visited my relative last month, I am very impress with the level of care provided to my cousin Diane. The physician was able to talked to us , explained in detail the plan of care, the RN was very informative, compassionate and kind. The xray tech was so professional, friendly and gentle with moving my cousin around, the wound care team nurses were able to described and teach us how to take care and prevent for my cousin to get more bed sores. The facility looks so clean and well kept , my cousin mentioned the respiratory team, physical therapy, occupational therapy are very efficient, compassionate & encouraging. We met Maria the patient representative; very nice, respectful, friendly and sweet lady. Maria you are a fresh air of kindness , you visited my cousin Diane every day twice at day , to cheer her up and tell her how beautiful she looked every day. Thank you Kindred for making my cousin's stay a great experience and for providing an excellent medical care.

She was on her way out the Hospital, we showed up unannounced to visit our loved one there was a few of us and we needed to pray and gather all together - she gave us 10 minutes to grieve, cry and hold hands as a family in the most sad times of our life. As I am getting ready to go home, my favorite physical therapist Chandra is having me walk down the hallway at Kindred. My stay at this hospital has been pleasant, peaceful, positive and smoother than expected. Definitely you have great people providing an outstanding medical service. All the nurses that providing me care are nice, professional, friendly and respectful. The food they serve is a high quality for a hospital, the room are kept clean , and I always was able to see my advocate at least twice at day. Everyday, I knew when Maria the patient Representative was coming to visit , the distinctive sound while walking made me smile. Thank you all for your kindness, professionalism and for providing top of the notch service. I will recommend you to family and friends.

Almost a year ago my wife was hospitalized at Kindred Central ; everyone was absolutely nice, friendly , caring and professional. The physical therapists were great ; specially Chandra , Jazmine , the director of the respiratory department visited my wife to explained of what to expect after COVID, the nurses treated my wife Lesley with respect , compassion , the cleaning ladies specially Edith was sweet and kind to my wife. We met Maria, the patient advocate who visited my wife every day twice at day to encouraged, made her smile , held her hands as a sign of reassurance. My wife Lesley still communicates with Maria weekly via text , until this day Maria continue cheering her up with the most sweets messages motivating my wife to do better. Kindred Central your facility has chosen the most professional group of individuals providing loving care. Maria thank you too for your professionalism and for always doing right by the patient ; Lesley and I thank you and appreciate .

Kindred Central, thank you !!! When I visited my cousin at your facility my concerns went away, it was obvious he was being taking care. We all know your type of facility is mainly for elderly people. Although he is so young he was treated with respect, dignity, kindness, all nurses & techs were cool and professional. He wanted to be discharge right away, he was getting anxious about his discharge date and wanted to return home no matter what. A gentleman from physical therapy explained in detail why he needed to wait until was completely recover . Maria the patient representative visited him everyday, treated him like one her kids, cheer him up and gave him a pet talk. Maria you are amazing, understanding, flexible, thank you for allowing more than 2 visitor per day to make Chris comfortable at your facility, but most importantly for listening , for taking in consideration all his concerns and make sure his was heard & for addressing all his issues. Kindred was great! KELLY the charge nurse was THE BEST! And the nurse that did my admission was very great and u can't forget about her. Mike, Chandra, and jasmine from rehab were awesome! Thank you to all the staff for your help and care.

Although this hospital is out the way and relatively small compared to the Hospital my uncle was going to be transfer from, I must confess our family was totally impressed with the cleanliness, friendliness from the gentleman at the front desk, and the staff on the hallways while touring the facility. We walked in to Central Kindred , no appointment previously made; the patient advocate Maria was able to take us and showed us the the whole facility. We appreciate your hospitality, the great intentions, but most importantly the professionalism, kindness and attentiveness from your front line. Thank you!!

My Mom was transferred here to Kindred(Howard Ave)after BayCare basically kicked her out with a wound. All I can honestly say is from the moment she arrived and Priscilla/RN did her admission documents she was so caring, thorough, kind, compassionate, she took her time and asked me all the correct questions. Victory the patient advocate @ Kindred I am without words the level of communication and responsiveness that my Mom received was truly outstanding. Charge Nurse Kelly in a moment of helplessness and panic brought comfort, clarity, and compassion I cannot put into words at the most crucial moment, how she came through for my mom I will forever be indebted to her. Susana the director of wound care immediately came to her room and did her assessment and explained everything to me to the tee. Can not say enough about the level of care she received from her team. So many RN’s and CNA’s @ Kindred to thank it would take forever. The entire 2nd floor staff truly defines compassion and care. Marisol and Rosa are amazing charge nurses. They always came to me and answered all my questions and concerns in a timely fashion. Lorena and Michael another amazing caring loving RN’s. CNA’s Janaya and Irene wonderful the level of patience and care they handled my Mom with was exceptional. Constantly turning her and looking out for her well being. Also the respiratory therapist TY did an amazing job with my Mom her level of care second to none. One last person is Mrs Linda in the cafeteria Phenomenal she even knew my Mom and that she requested mashed potatoes daily even when it wasn’t on the daily menu she made sure she had it. I wish the entire staff nothing but God’s blessings on them. The only negative was completely out of their control and it was communication from her primary Dr. God bless you Kindred ❤️

I do not recommend this facility to anyone. My father was transferred here from a major hospital in Orlando after they deemed him fit enough to step down to a long term care hospital. My dad suffered a cardiac arrest while in this facility. The doctors told us my dad was brain dead with no chance of a recovery. They said he was not responding to commands and recommended we move him to hospice. After a few days of deliberation, and seeing that my dad was starting to regain cognitive function, we asked them to perform another EEG and give us a second opinion. Over a week later, nothing was done. The doctors never return phone calls, there is barely any communication from the staff. They were leaving my dad to wither away. We ended up signing an AMA, calling 911 and transported my dad to Tampa General. After just 3 days at TG, my dad is responding to all commands, able to sit in a chair and is able to breathe with very little supplemental oxygen. The doctors at TG alerted us to several things that Kindred did totally wrong. If you have ANY doubts on what type of care your loved ones are getting at Kindred, please call 911 and get them out of there. Kindred wound sooner see your family member dead before actually trying to save them.

Kindred Central Tampa!!!! I can't thank you enough for the great care, loving, thoughtful way I had been treated at your facility. When I first came to your facility all my friends, family kept asking me how everything was and how was the medical care. A lovely , friendly , caring and sweet young lady visited me every morning asking the same question. Maria the patient representative always made sure all my needs and questions were addressed. Well today as she asked once again I can confident respond , Kindred you are the best and everything it's okay !!! I am thankful and grateful to be a patient in your facility , everybody is overly nice and kind very hard to find now days specifically when we all know we are living in times of crisis due to COVID-19.The cleaning ladies are friendly , respectful and kind, the nurses are excellent, the techs are amazing , the food it's great, the physical therapist & occupational therapist are excellent employees too.Maria knew my birthday is today , brought me balloons and sang the happy birthday song to me , a touchy moment a sign of kindness and compassion what a lady . The staff was excellent; the care was magnificent and the food was great . Kindred Central Tampa , we can't thank you enough for your compassion , kindness and respect. DOOOOO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES HERE, MY MOTHER DIED HERE AND I 100% BELIEVE IT WAS DUE TO THEIR HORRIBLE NURSES HURTING MY MOTHER AND CAUSING HER DISTRESS CONSTANTLY. She came here to get weaned off oxygen after having covid really bad, she was supposed to come home. She was under so much distress ALL THE TIME, the nurse lead called ME to tell me about the abuse and how they're going to "investigate" my mother's claims of the nurses hurting and yelling at her, obviously they were true because they changed her nurses around. They gave her too much medication that kept her constantly delirious but even through that, my mom called and texted me all the time about being hurt and ignored and wanting to come home or even get transferred back to the hospital to get out of here. I tried everything I could and even AFTER they switched her nurses, she was so anxious and scared, that's what caused her to become too distressed to be left awake and they called me to put her on a ventilator, how did she die hours later? PLEASE SEND YOUR LOVED ONES ELSEWHERE, I'll be looking into legal action against this horrid place

The nurse, Angie, Amber, Javier, Beverley, tony,shay, Cecilia and the patient Rep Victoria have been so great and helpful and I wish that we had them all the time to take care of my father. They are always willing to help translate and give me the information I need.

I’m so happy my mom and stepmom choose this place as my long term care facility, EVERYBODY is great from the nurses to the administrators. I mean everybody is so nice and caring and it’s not the fake care you can actually feel the care and concern they give. 10/10 highly recommend.

This group of people were very caring. And rehab. was great they took care of my needs and my safety on a day by day basis. I am glad that I was here to make me well. . Thank you 🙏 All my God Bless you 🙏 All..

My stay here was good overall but they need more staff. Umar and mayumi the CNAs were very great. They took great care of me. The nurses Peter , ramon and floria were great nurses as well, They go above and beyond as nurses. They don't just act as nurses, whatever I need help with they are willing to do it . The house keeping staff is even great. They take the time to stop and speak. When I let the housekeeper know that I was going to be discharged they all applauded for me. That warmed my heart. Thank you kindred for your great care.

We are grateful we were able to visit Robert & provide support to our friend on this difficult times. My mom was transferred to this hospital in October. After a few weeks we noticed a few changes. We could never get in contact with her doctor. Much of the information we needed to know as her family was not shared with us regarding her health. Before she came to this hospital we were informed that we would get updates regularly. If we as the family didn’t push to get information, I don’t think nothing would be shared. We didn’t even speak with the physician until complaining and finally my father got a call from an NP a few days before her passing at Kindred. In regards to her care, she developed a bed sore and the family was never verbally informed; we noticed signs on her door, but that was it until we questioned the situation. Because we lived 2 hours away, who knows exactly what was being done with my mom. All I know is that she didn’t seem happy. As for the case manager, all I can say is that some people aren’t fit to be in certain professions or positions if they lack compassion. There is so so much I could share, but mom has passed on and our family is still grieving. I believe that there needs to be better communication with hospital staff and patient family. Special thanks to Maria (Patient representative Manager) at this hospital who truly helped us the best she could.

I am surprised to see that this place is still in business. My mom was there for years ago and it was a mess. Her medical care was so unprofessional, when she had any, she came there after time spent in the hospital and they were supposed to rehab her. That never happened she hardly ever got physical therapy. I stayed by her bedside. I did not go home for the whole time. She was there because I felt the lack of care was astounding. I feel that this place was the main contributor to her death. Things were so bad at that time that the head of the hospital used to stop in my mom’s room every day to see what the staff did right and wrong. I kept a log of everything they did, and when she came to check during the day, I would let her know. She was new there, and I thought she would make changes. But it doesn’t sound like she did, Patience came wandering into my moms room during the night, nurses, not even knowing about it. Then they would fight over who’s patient that was. The lack of care in this place was astounding. The rooms were dirty and freezing cold. There was always moisture buildup on the windows from how cold it was in the rooms. I made a complaint many years ago when this happened and was told someone would get in touch with me. No one ever did.!!! it is sad to see that some of these things are continuing to this date. I left a review on this website years ago. Wonder what happened to it. This place is a mess and it should be shut down. They also billed for tests that were never performed and they kept her there with hardly any care or treatment. If it weren’t for me being by her side and feeding her and doing physical therapy with her, she would’ve been left to lay there like a vegetable. I would never recommend this place to anyone. After the long time that was spent there with my mom, I walked away with PTSD. They used to let the machines of all the patients buzz and ring, and not answer them into this day when I hear those kind of noises, it kind of freaks me out. We had two or three good nurses. They even used to lie and said they changed her when she wet her self but they didn’t. They thought I was sleeping and could lie about it. I could probably go on and on about this place and every year when the anniversary of my mom comes up. It brings back such bad memories of the lack of care she got there. They all oughta be ashamed of themselves.

This hospital is where people go to die. The administration is corrupt and only concerned with turning patients into a conveyor belt for profit. They choose to ignore the systemic issues that result in unsafe patient care and instead throw their nurses and floor staff under the bus to avoid having to fix themselves and cut their own salaries. If you care about your loved ones DO NOT send them to this joke of a hospital.

The staff here has been absolutely beautiful. My nurse Michael B is very kind, attractive and friendly. He gets me my medication in time and he Smiles! Also Mike from respiratory is very kind and warm. He laughs with me and comforts me by patting me on my shoulder. I am really glad to have him caring for me. And last but not least my CNA Talisha is so great. She makes sure that I am warm and brings my meals . They have made my stay at kindred so comfortable.

This place has the best physical team! Jasmine and Michael the best! All of the nurses are go great (too many to name). The doctors are so kind and patient. Kindred hospital has been great and I'm so happy with how my recovery went. Thank you

The staff here is phenomenal. It's my first time coming here and it's been great. My grandfather came to this hospital years back and he was well taken care of by the Nurses and Nursing aids are so attentive. The wound care are very attentive to my wounds. Kindred is such a good hospital to care for you.

My experience here at kindred has been good. My nurse Luciana and her trainee was very great and helpful. Occupational therapy was very good. Overall somethings can be done better but good care otherwise.

The staff has been fantastic! My nurse Michael B was the BEST! The CNA Umar was so helpful, he organized my whole entire room for me. The staff here at Kindred are so attentive and caring. They are right on top of my needs and move quickly to resolve my concerns and worries about my health. Thank you Kindred for the AMAZING care and support.

I have nothing the words appraised for the staff everyone is always been more than helpful and work as a team to do everything to make sure that it all runs Mosley there are too many to name individually because they all were exceptional and I would be more than happy to have them care from me in the future everything is done as a team effort any team member will perform any function to make sure that the patients are taken care of. The lady who comes to advocate for you was always helpful and kind. Nothing but good things.

Couple of great nurses Daisy for one Raiza amazing working and staff. Update 11/26/2023 As i was being discharged I was force to write a review . I gave a complaint on 2 nurses the hurt me and my arm a night nurse named marjorie pulled on my arm so hard I can not lift it above my head I reported it . Then a nurse named Teresa pushed me against the bed rail and hurt my feeding tube . I spent countless time soiled with a butt wound that they didn’t heal all the time only my last days there. A few nurses only did an amazing job but those few that hurt me ruined my rehab I can’t put pressure on my arm at all .
