Dr Figueroa has taken me in and referred me to doctors for services because she is one of the few Doctors that actually cares about patients. I have spent the past several years with severe migraines, neck, back and diffuse pain. Add to that Severe depression with recurring episodes and severe anxiety and you have a medication nightmare. Over the past three years I've had providers tell me there is no reason for my pain and even had a psychiatrist laugh at me. Thanks to Figueroa I have been referred to the right doctors and am now being treated for possible Seizures and have the correct medicine mix. I LOVE YOU DOC!

My first visit to this office was a positive experience. Office staff was courteous and professional. Very impressed with Barbara Pierre-Louis, ARNP. Very thorough in interview and examination. Covered all bases and very knowledgeable and professional. Intend to continue seeing her for my medical needs.

Dr Mayra Casta is wonderful. Very personable, easy to understand, interested in her patients, eager to learn about her patients and a warm smile. After years of being treated like cattle and not listened too. She is a breath of fresh air.

I love my doctor Dr. M.Casta she has been my doctor for a few years , she makes you feel like she is part of your family. She has in the past call me on the weekends to see how I feel. She has always giving me the right diagnosis , and has told me to have test down to make sure that is the right diagnosis , and she has always been right. She no’s what is the right meds to give me and has always treated me with the out most respect

I am sorry to have to report that after 19 months with Dr. Myra Casta as my PCP, I ended our relationship. In the past 30 days, virtual appointments were set for my annual wellness with Dr. Casta. Three times I waited for the virtual to begin, and after being told “she will be with me shortly” and waiting more than an hour, no contact was made. I never was called for an explanation. This is very disturbing from a medical physician/facility.

Dr Henson is a wonderful doctor and the staff is so pleasant. I recommend IMA Medical Center highly.

Dr. Pierre is wonderful/excellent I ever had in my decades. She explains everything I needed to hear and do thorough testing. I’m very picky with doctors. When I’m not comfortable or important with a doctor, I leave and don’t come back. I highly suggest this place, gave me a goodie bag too for first time visit. The staff made me feel comfortable, and I will continue to be a patient here permanently!

I see that people are having trouble with referrals. I have had the same issue, but I do not blame the staff at IMA. I have had something going on for a while, it ended up putting me in the hospital after 4 previous doctors did absolutely nothing. I decided to take charge of my health and I am so grateful for finding IMA and Dr. Henson. She is so kind and caring and she is doing everything she can to figure it out. She's the first doctor I am completely comfortable with and I can tell her anything. Keep in mind that a lot of doctors are backed up still because of Covid, and the insurance companies are also having problems. Most don't even take my insurance anymore. Dr. Henson has called in the nursing assistant and had her try to get a cardiologist before I left her office. She tried for months to get an MRI of my head released from the hospital before finally sending me to get a sinus x-ray. Unfortunately I caught Covid and I finally got it done last week as well as more labs. They really do care, they are doing the best they can given the pandemic, the amount of patients and being short staffed. I see Dr. Henson for my test results this week. She is trying to get as much information as she can do I can get back to being healthy again. I absolutely recommend IMA to anyone who wants answers, and not be brushed off by a regular General practitioner. The answers will come, probably sooner had the pandemic messed everything up. I'm confident that we will know soon what is going on, and if you need a specialist like I need several, they will make sure to do everything possible to get you there. If you have problems, call your insurance and ask for a list of the particular one you need and then call IMA. They are more than happy to accommodate.

I was so hopeful that this medical clinic would be good, but the past few months has been a nightmare in their referral department. I have had to go in to their office and wait to get my referral 2 times. Each time a referral has been sent from a specialist I always call to follow up to ensure IMA has received it. I have been the go between for months between my specialist to confirm they sent the referrals each time and they have confirmed the fax went through more times than I can count. I have asked for someone in the front office to communicate with my specialist so many times and they failed. I finally had to get the director involved and physically sit at her desk to get the last two referrals completed so I could go to my appointments which were in a few hours of each other. I cannot begin to tell you the stress this has caused me numerous times. My review is solely based on the referral departments negligence. I really do like my doctor and it's such a shame this has happened .

It's usually quite crowded and noisy and cold. Bring a sweater. It's usually a long wait but I love my Dr. . Ive tried others there that I didn't care for. Trying to get a referral is a nightmare. The Dr. Sends it in and whoever takes care of it from there really drops the ball. I'm waiting over a month now for a referral.

My doctor is amazing, but the parking lot is really filthy and unkept. I had an accident in the parking lot because the parking spaces have lost the line and it is unclear where to park. There is trash everywhere, the leaves from trees lie in big piles around the parking lot. Very unclean for a medical building.

The staff and the doctors are amazing!!! They take care of you very well always help me with my appointments, referrals, medications…the more important are the positive and happy environment !!!!!!!

Waiting 3 weeks for my vitally needed referrals for my physicians. I've now had to cancel my diabetic appointment and don't know how I'll get my refills. This is the second referral that I've not been able to get. The referrals were given at the time of my first appointment with names, phone numbers, dates and addresses. This is awful.

Worst ever they don't do anything for you (be aware.) You get no referrals nothing done. They won't get another penny from my insurance. I give this place a F and if I could had gave them a 0 star I would. Very unpleasant place!

4/21/22 This is an update for the original review that I have left unchanged below. Unfortunately, I have discontinued treatment under Dr. Henson, which has absolutely nothing to do with the doctor herself. The office staff, medical assistants, and other medical personnel at IMA Medical Group are lazy, they lie to you with a smile, and the office manager is a patronizing professional liar with the most insincere fake smile. I'm not going to go into detail about my last appointment, but I will say that they didn't have the staff in the office to take me at the scheduled time, then she failed to do her job, gave up trying, and told me to go somewhere else. Go somewhere else is just what I did. Permanently. I'm so angry about the whole situation, it gave me anxiety and a flare up of the painful medical condition I was going there to treat. I advise finding a doctor elsewhere. This place is just an experience in frustration and delayed or non-existent care. Original review: Dr. Henson is amazing. She goes out of her way to make sure her patients get what they need, even if the insurance company is impossible to communicate with (or almost.) She's funny, explains everything in language you don't need a medical degree to understand, and patiently answers question after question until everything is clear. The office staff has messed up multiple times, delaying treatment which is really frustrating, and they don't always answer the phone, which is why I didn't give 5 stars.

Everything is fine. Everyone is very concerned. My doctor is the best I have ever had in my entire life.
