Delicious Italian food. Love the love music/entertainment that the restaurant has. The drinks were great and the food is something in itself. The pasta and the Roman pizza were beyond words. We will definitely return here.

I'll be honest - the food isn't terrible. It really just depends on what you get and it'll either taste basic or not. The pizza is delicious, although the last time I went it was greasier than usual. The shrimps are good. The steak and potatoes were great. The cheesecake was all right, but too sweet with the compote. We had a couple issues with our server and especially because her shift ended before we had finished dining. We came in last minute on a Sunday night and were able to snatch the larger booth in the corner, which was nice. They also had a live musician performing right when you walk in. The ambiance is nice and not so bright, which I liked. If you can't find street parking, there is free parking in the garage across from Forbici.

Nothing to complain, delicious experience. Margarita was amazing, like creamy!!! Sangria also very good. Wings nice and crispy. Meatballs very good. Four cheese pizza, amazing! Pesto pasta, also amazing. Nice environment and friendly staff.

Great food, fantastic staff. A group of us went for dinner last night and couldn't have been happier. The restaurant was packed but food still came out really fast. The servers were attentive to our party. We started the night with a round of appetizers. We just asked the server to "take care of us" and bring out what he think we would like, and he did not disappoint. Juicy meatballs, crunchy pizza, charcuterie, calamari and more. For dinner, I ordered the Sand bowl with blackened shrimp. It was a unique blend of bitter and savory with nice big blackened shrimp. Definitely worth checking out. Appointments recommended.

Nice place in Hyde village Tampa . Excellent service. Everything he recommended to us was excellent. Starting with the meatballs, pesto pasta and the spicy pepperoni pizza in a rectangle. Good variety of pizzas

**Is it good? Yeah. It is.** Overall: This establishment is nestled in Hyde Park as an Italian restaurant with a modern take. At Forbici, you can take a load off and partake in fine cuisine and a vibrant atmosphere. Food: I ordered the Alora pizza, a wood fired masterpiece with prosciutto and oven roasted tomatoes. All of the flavors and temperatures were on point. My party also had the tiramisu, which was delectable and light. Service: The service here was nothing short of excellent. Alice, our waitress was amazing in providing efficient service, great food recommendations, and overall superb hospitality. The food comes out in a timely manner, even when busy. Atmosphere: Modern with an alternative pop culture twist. Clean and inviting. Even though I would not recommend it as a family spot, a lot of families with young children do come to pay a visit. Conclusion: Do I recommend coming here? Yeah. It's pretty good. This is definitely my date night spot. Rating 4.7 out of 5

The shrimp appetizer, the chicken wings, and the pizza were done to perfection. I want to come back and eat more orders of just the shrimp alone. The atmosphere is very nice and it has all the vibes. I want to come back for the dinner menu and try more things.

Absolutely loved this place. I wasn't expecting the pizzas to be so incredible! The atmosphere was fun and vibrant with sassy decor and live music. I was there with a group of 9 for a birthday, and our server was prompt, friendly, and accommodating. I look forward to back for the pizza, but everything we ordered was delicious.

Food is not good at all. Great aesthetic, great service, and the best part is LIVE singing. Meat balls and the rice balls were lackluster in taste and the sauce it came in was not good. The Pizza was not a gourmet pizza I expected. Really tasted like something that was previously frozen. The short rib gnocchi was not good - too many vegetables that took away from the dish and the short rib was not tender. Had high hopes for this and it seems like a safe bet since it is in Hyde Park but I was truly disappointed.

I went here for my sister birthday dinner. My first time dining here. Great atmosphere and great customer service. Tons of vegan and vegetarian options. Most of the menu items are vegan or vegetarian. I order a glass of Sparkling Moscato. Which was really good. I also order Broccolini and the Impossible plant base meatball pizza. The pizza was okay. A lil dry. Needed more sauce. But overall. I had a great experience and I enjoyed myself. I spent $34.84

I’ve discovered that I love their avocado toast during brunch, otherwise I’m not the biggest fan of most of the menu. That might just be me though as this place always seems to be packed. It’s always a little loud if you’re indoors as the floor is cement so there’s nothing to absorb the noise. But I now come here for brunch once in a while just to grab their avocado toast (add the bacon & eggs).

I’ll start by saying that the food was very good. Meatball appetizer was delicious. I got the gnocchi carbonara and boyfriend got the mushroom risotto and both plates were very good only lacking a touch of salt on the potato gnocchi dish. Tiramisu was light and lovely. My only complaint is that it took over 5 minutes for someone to even greet us after being sat even though 3 different servers walked by. However once our waiter did come he was excellent and gave us a good experience. 😁 Would recommend.

My husband and I visited Forbici for the second time (first time was lunch a few months ago). There were 7 of us and we went on the Sunday night before labor day. We did not have to wait for a table which I was surprised by but was also relieved. The atmosphere is nice--upbeat music, not too loud inside, and cozy. Be prepared to sit close to other tables/people. The food was amazing! I ordered the eggplant lasagna and my husband had the cup and char pizza. Other orders included square pizzas, shrimps, a grain bowl, and a seafood pasta dish. The featured margarita was delish as well as the mule. Service was also great--when our food was ready multiple staff members delivered our food for better efficiency and I love the all hands on deck approach as a former server. When we got the bill, which included 5 people and 2 craft cocktails, we were pleasantly surprised by how affordable it was for how good the food was. We also received a birthday dessert for my husband which we appreciated 🎂 Other perks were free parking (probably a main reason why we visit Hyde Park) available throughout 3 garages and close proximity to places for desserts and drinks. We will definitely be back to visit Forbici.

Delicious food and some good looking interior design. Dress casually, but expect some great Italian food coming your way. We hit this place up for brunch, and everything came out amazing. Stop by if you're in the area. They treat you better than other places.

This places got really good food. The MeatBalls ! Amazing. It was my appetizer but I got em two times… My fav. I order the Veal with Marinara sauce and cheese … it was Delicioso. The drinks were alright. I was hungry and the drinks weren’t on my radar but they work. Lol would recommend for sure. The service was on point, the atmosphere as well. Seating was fast , maybe I got lucky. Lots of people and most seemed to be in a good mood…..So… It can’t be due to bad service . Go check it out. I’m def. Coming by again…. Oh almost forgot .. got the tiramisu and that was on point. I wish I had ice-cream with it hahah

Reservations are ideal for dining in The atmosphere was very inviting. Ian was a wonderful server and extremely friendly. We ordered the meatballs and truffle fries as appetizers. The meatballs were fresh and my personal favorite. The fries were not good and were possibly cooked in oil that needed to be replaced. Ian did offer to remove them but I insisted they were okay enough to remain on the tab. The white sangria was good, the red sangria was a little bitter. Would return for Ian’s service alone. Thank you!

Good experience for our visit, recommend to make reservation if you don’t wanna wait. The service was great, the food was coming out fast even though it was busy. Very good vibes from the restaurant, food the pizza were great, and also the cavatelli was another dish for recommendations. Liked the special 5$ bread basket, only draw back is the music was little loud in the dining area.

Great Italian/pizza restaurant! Came late on a Saturday night and only had to wait 15 minutes. They offer half portions of every pasta dish which is amazing! I’ve been to a ton of Italian restaurants and you rarely ever see that option. It not only makes it more affordable but allows you the opportunity to taste test multiple items! We placed our order and the food was delivered to our table within 10 minutes. It was hot, fresh and very tasty. The waiter was courteous and very attentive. Overall, zero complaints! Forbici easily earns the 5 stars due to the solid food, affordable prices, ability to order a half portion of pasta, fast service/delivery of the food and being open later than the majority of sit down restaurants in the Tampa area!

Our waiter was terrific and the food was awesome. The risotto was cooked perfectly. Everything was perfectly seasoned. Great experience, will be back!

The parking is horrible! The atmosphere was great and our waiter was friendly and wonderful, but the food was very disappointing. I wouldn’t recommend coming here for brunch. Their granny meatball tasted SUPER old! It tasted so bad, I couldn’t finish my food. I feel unwell when I was eating it and after I was eating it. The tomato sauce was also very sour. Also, the tomatoes was greasy and hard. My boyfriend food was alright, but the food was not worth the price. It’s a nice place to hang out and enjoy the weekend, but their food was not good.

We went Friday night and were able to get a table immediately. Our server, I think Sarah, was really helpful with the menu so I could find something that fit my allergies. All the food and drinks were amazing!! They have a great selection of vegan and vegetarian options

Overall wonderful experience. Found two open seats at the bar. Ordered old fashions, bar tender made it how we like them, very attentive and nice. Shashito peppers were best we’ve had! Prosciutto pizza with truffle oil was amazing! Loved the live music and overall vibe of the atmosphere. Will def go back!

If a modern Italian bustling cafe is your cup of tea, then this is the place for you. We don't go out for Italian food too often, but this place is worth the trip. Try the bolognese or the cup and char pizza. If you try the pizza, ask for a little extra sauce, and to have it be well done - that's the way we roll. We had a drink at the bar before dinner - which was a great spot to people watch. Definitely make reservations, as it does get busy.

The atmosphere here is fantastic, always bustling, yet the servers deliver top-notch service. We kicked off with the happy hour menu, and the star was the sparkling gin gimlet, a real refresher and a must-try in this weather. The shishito peppers with lemon and sea salt blew me away as appetizers – incredible flavor, plus a dipping sauce. Start with two, trust me, especially if you have vegetarians in your crew! Our server suggested the Mushroom Cavatelli for the main pasta, and it didn't disappoint. Perfectly al dente pasta, flavors harmonized beautifully. Highly recommend this spot, big thanks to the attentive and excellent staff!

I could say I was a fan of Forbici until yesterday; it was my most visited restaurant at Hyde Park. However, just last Sunday night (09/24), my total bill including tips was supposed to be $55.00 (yes, I like to round up numbers in my tips), but to my dismay, I discovered that my card had been charged a whopping $57.38. It may seem like a mere $2.38 discrepancy is not worth fussing over, but it's the principle that matters. Honesty and transparency in billing should be a given, and Forbici Hyde Park failed to deliver on this front. Very disappointed and will not come back :)

Forbici Modern Italian is one of my favorite Italian restaurants in Tampa. The food is so delicious, reasonably priced, and delivered shortly after ordering (if it’s a small order and not a party order of course). My go to order is the Pesto Rigatoni with chicken and a Cesar Salad, both half orders as noted in the picture below. In terms of food, this place is 5+ stars out of 5. In terms of service, I did remove a star because last time I was there, I was siting alone at one of the long tall tables outside and the servers started prepping the table while I was still there because they had a large party arriving. I moved tables, but I didn’t receive a “sorry, do you mind moving as we have a large party coming?” or even asking whether I was with the large party before setting up the table. If it wasn’t for the delicious food, I would have left.

This place for pizza is super good! The taste is very good, also the carpaccio! We tried the pasta and risotto but we decided that the pizza was much better! The cocktails were good too!
