    Store is fine 😊 traffic is Gnarly tho😱 it seems no matter where you go in Tampa there's road work of sorts happening! Not much we can do about it, stay calm & carry on!😉😊

    5 stars for the grooming. I have two wheaten terriers, one of which is older, and they both came out looking and feeling great. It was worth every penny and I’m grateful.

    Alan, Shaun & Melissa are great. Always the friendliest and with helpful guidance to what our pets need. Been a guest since 2016 and they have not lost there awesomeness 👌🏼

    Great place for my Bullies needs. Grooming service is wonderful and convenient. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Great food selection for the Bullies!!! My "go to" place.

    Don’t waste your time, fish are dead, betta fish sick and not taken care of, the worst petco I’ve been too, clearly lack of management, and very lazy employees, this store has so much potential/location clearly in need of good management and staff, the water is so bad in those fish that they die without oxigen, is very upsetting.

    Staff believe they are fish police. Specifically Lauren who enjoys not making polite conversations that lead to a good sale but if not she uses an interrogation method that is demeaning and insulting. Imagine a fish store associate not wanting to sell you a water plant until you tell them exactly how you plan on using it. They make up their own policies as they go. We'll refund you a fish but cannot resale one if you do not give them a water sample. I do not call myself an expert on anything but I know do take pride in being knowledgeable and somewhat of an enthusiast when it comes to my fish. Oh not to mention the racist associate who breeds rabbits that told me to my face he will not sell his bunnies to Latino families because they only buy them to eat them. If you enjoy being interrogated and you feel the same about Latinos and bunnies than perhaps this is the place for you to support because I'm done giving them my money.

    Went in to the store to pick up a new basking bulb and dog food. Staff was friendly and attentive..even made conversation at the counter. Always a pleasant experience

    Eriel is outstanding. He is incredibly knowledgeable and quick to help me every time! He goes above and beyond to make my shopping experience as pleasant and efficient as possible. This store is ok - no major complaints or any outstanding traits. They usually have what I need in stock and prices are ok. I wish they would price match Petsmart prices. That is one major recommendation I have to share.

    Natalie helped me at this location and was absolutely fantastic and knowledgeable. She was incredibly nice even though I arrived 10 minutes before closing and took her time to understand my problem with my tank and gave me everything I would need as well as great information to prevent similar issues from reoccurring. The next day my tank is completely cleared, great staff!

    The person who picked up the phone to help me with my bearded dragons UVB bulb and the cashier were super sweet and personable. They offered information about rewards programs and also honored a price match for me. I enjoyed my experience!

    I recommend PETCO to everyone who has a pet. Definitely helps you with your pets needs. Whether it is emotional, mental, physical great place to get solutions for everything you may need.

    Every one of the staff was extremely welcoming. I found everything I needed. Everything was fairly priced and I had all the help I could want. The cashier was spectacular working with a constant stream of strange, new dogs. They all loved her.

    Worst petco in all existence. Went to buy fish and the employee and manager refused to sell fish. If I want to go buy fish and put them in my tank it is none of their business. What is their business is that they lost a loyal customer of 15 years. I don't need to explain myself prior to buying a fish. Horrible customer service. Thankfully Petsmart was smart enough to take my business.

    I don't remember the last time I left a review, but I can't say enough good things about the Vetco staff here. My goldendoodle puppy was an absolute train wreck for his vaccine appointment. Just displaying typical goldendoodle behavior. This staff went above and beyond in calming him down, ensuring he got his shot despite moving non stop and just made the whole process so easy. And they were extremely nice and professional. I highly highly recommend Vetco

    this is a dedication review for Theresa. My boyfriend and i went into petco to look at getting a fish tank. Theresa was so incredibly helpful and her knowledge to fish was amazing. She even helped us with decorating the tank! She was absolutely amazing. Thank you for all your help, Theresa!!!

    I made an appointment for my small 10 pound dog to be groomed and when I got there, I believe it was a manager, but he was also a groomer -as soon as I walked in he said, “oh no, let me see you” to my dog. When I filled out to pre-groom paper work I stated she had matting but this groomer made it seem as if she was impossible to work on. He stated that he couldn’t groom her and if he did she may get an ear hematoma…. Okay first of all this is an excuse and also a bittttt of a stretch lol a hematoma is not going to pop up over the course of the groom and the dogs head would have to be SHAKING non-stop also it’s more common in longer eared dogs and my dog is a small little thing. Not accurate. He said she would need to be sedated under anesthesia and be groomed at a vet clinic… I’m a Veterinary Technician and this is also the most dramatic thing I’ve ever heard hahaha I ran her over to Petco on my lunch break so had no choice but to bring my dog back to the vet clinic I work at with me after being refused service. When I told the Vet what happened he looked my dog over and laughed and said they were simply being lazy. The way the groomer was talking about my dog and talking down to her you would think I abused the little girl. At one point I just grabbed my dog back because there is no reason for me to be in Petco any longer.

    I Always go to this Petco because it is the closest one to my house and it has the best selection and they always have the dog food I need. Everyone is always friendly and willing to help.

    Fantastic store...had EVERYTHING and more... So upscale and classy it made my store look like I lived in the skids ... Sad 🙄 (I love in Carrollwood Village..You know...North Tampa...the one who gets the S. Tampa left overs...Apparently..) yes Lord I'm thankful to have something at all right ☝️😣🙏

    Good place but the grooming staff informed me that they do not allow dogs to be muzzled when getting a nail trim. It took 3 grooms staff to restrain my dog(without a muzzle) and trim my dog’s nails. I have a chihuahua by the way.

    They've raised their prices on literally everything. And tying to get a staff member to help me out today was like pulling teeth. After I finally got someone, I found out the automatic litter box I wanted to buy (this would be my third one as i like the product) had been doubled in price in less than 6 months

    Store is kinda dark, sadly they have very little staff. The staff that is there any time I come to get dog food has always been polite. Check your receipt though. The local sales tax is messed up in the system and charges you .25% over the 7.50% Hillsborough sales tax rate.

    Seriously Alan is the best. Last time i was here he was so thorough with me as i had a lot of questions. He actually had the same breed dog as me and was so educated on literally every type of product. He helped me pick out toys and even her food. She loves the petco brand food and i came back today and was so happy he was here to help me! He even helped me carry the extremely heavy dog food to my car and that was extremely kind of him. He really has gone above and beyond both times i’ve been here. This isn’t even the closest petco to me but i come here because of how great the employees here are. Thank you alan for making my shopping experience super easy. :)

    Extremely knowledgeable staff and offered help when they noticed me. I would've liked a better selection in some items as I couldn't find everything I needed but the rating is more for how great the manager was in helping and offering some advice for my new puppy.

    The groomers are GREAT!! Can’t say enough about them. Love the sales throughout the store. The only reason I gave a 4 star rationing is each time I go, they are out of my dogs food. They carry it but it’s not in stock when I go.

    The cashier and staff are very friendly and helpful. Chad was able to help me with specific products for my two pit bulls and get the best deal.I was in and out in no time. Petco promotion sign up bonuses are super worth it!

    Friendly staff, great service - clean facility. Met all my expectations compared to other grooming services. Happy with the cut. Had to leave my dog there for almost 4 hours - I thought that was a little too long for a scheduled appointment. The base cut is a fair price, but if you want nails trimmed, different shampoo and other services, the price jumps considerably. All in excluding tip paid around $84.

    We were looking for a betta. We compared several stores to look for healthy looking bettas and picked out this one as the best. Their tanks were also clean, and the employee that helped us check out was great. We got our tank, betta, and several aquatic plants in there. There was one employee that was overbearing, but it wasn't too bad.

    I love this place WAYYYYY more than petsmart, the store is very clean and everything is in its right spot! it’s not too big that you’re going up and down every aisle looking for your item. The rewards program they have is great as well!!
