I wish google woildn't ask for food scores as I largely use pubs for drinking and hence have to give a middle score which is probably grossly unfair on the establishment. As a pub to drink in, this is one of the very best. The lady behind the bar was happy to provide samples and recommendations and of the 5 real ales on offer every one I tried was superb. The building itself is very nice too, being comfortable and friendly with a decent beer garden if you're a naughty boy like me and enjoy the odd cigar. If in Tamworth, the Old Bank House is a must visit.

A warm and friendly welcome from staff, on a cold winter night. Traditional Christmas decorations added to the atmosphere of the period building. Guest ales change on a regular basis, giving something new to try. Well worth a visit.

First time in this bar and was really surprised by the great decor, lots of quiet rooms to sit with friends and chat. Great welcome and service. Good choice of ales, beers and wines. Will definitely be visiting again.

Great drinking establishment. Good range on draught and very comfortable seating arrangement both upstairs and down. Has the feel of an old London club with antique furniture and old fireplaces. A very pleasant place to wile away a few hours.

First stop of a Tamworth pub crawl according to CAMRA’s Good Beer Guide 2023. This is a great fancy little place, big empathy on Bavarian beers, had a very good pint of ABK Weissbier, bar staff friendly too. Recommended if you’re in town and you’re after something a bit different from the British beers.

A gem of a place. Nice range of real beers including very drinkable "Low and No" for those don't indulge. Lovely comfortable seating and friendly staff.

Great bar in Tamworth with a good selection of drinks. Similar to Tamworth Tap in beer and cider choice if you struggle to get in there.

We were hesitant to go in as we weren't sure what it was as it doesn't advertise as a bar outside. Once in though, WOW, the rooms are beautifully done, the staff were approachable and informative, other guests were friendly and chatty and there was a good selection of drinks both alcoholic and non alcoholic.

not your stereotypical pub but more like being in a rather grand old house. had a brilliant night there, staff were great and it had a really good atmosphere. it did get quite bust but I suppose that just shows it's a good venue. overall very impressed.

A great pub with excellent beer, friendly staff and a wonderful environment. It’s such a pity that they’d allowed a political rally, and a very distasteful one at that, to cloud what would have been an enjoyable first visit. Pubs must be politics-free zones.

This is a gem of a pub and had no idea it was there. Nice choice of beers and ciders. Friendly service and nice outdoor seating area. Lot of pale beers but the Fudge Brownie stout was to die for. Definitely going there again

Really pretty inside! Excellent selection of drinks. Small but very nicely done interior. Beer garden has lots of seating. It's very popular and quite small so get there early.
