The newest and happening place in Tanauan, Leyte. The resort is clean, fun and serves the best Filipino Fusion type cuisine. So if your ever in Tanauan, come and visit this place, many had and this place never disappoint. Pictures courtesy of Playa Allegra.

Went to Playa Alegre today. Overall 3/5 ⭐️ Pros: Great food! The Lechon Kawali was ok and the Sotanghon was amazing. Mango shake was good and so was the ice tea. Beautiful views, cottage for rent is good price.(500 pesos) Atmosphere was lovely and a great location to come as a couple or with your friends. They do offer a swimming pool for a fee but I didn’t swim in their pool today. Con’s: Lechon kawali was mostly bone and fat with some meat. Bad phone signal and they don’t offer wifi like some other resorts. While the water is beautiful to look at be careful! It is full of rocks in the sand and the waves will knock you down if you are not careful. Water not good for kids or swimming. I really wanted to swim but their beach is very difficult with the hidden rocks. I will stay longer today but because beach water isn’t very good to swim and phone signal is very bad(I have Globe) I left after only a few hours.

We were there during a family event. There are cottages for rent, a pool, and a function hall where a wedding reception was being held. The beach was accessible and facing the Pacific.

Went here for lunch. The place is not crowded so it’s perfect for family gatherings and hangouts. Staffs are very accommodating and hospitable. Their food is very delicious. Cottages are also available and the parking area is also spacious and their comfort rooms are very clean as well.

I will not recommend, not worth for the price you are paying. The dorm is dirty as if no one is sweeping the the floor and insects crawling at the door. The food is not that tasty for 2,500 boodle fight. And the pool closes at 8:00PM and opens 11AM, it's a waste staying overnight there. And worst, the manager can't be disturbed if you have concerns. The staff needs training also. So those who want to experience a wonderful relaxing vacation, look for another place or else, you will regret everything if you choose this venue.

Playa Alegre is one of the most comfortable places I've been to. The prices for accommodations and such are budget friendly. In addition, the staff there were very nice, accommodating and grants your request with a smile on their faces. Come enjoy and discover this wonderful place where you can hang out with your family and friends and have a good time to relax!

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at this resort. We stayed here twice during May 2019 and February 2020. The staff was great, food was delicious and the beach was clean. Every Saturday they have a nice acoustic band that you can enjoy. We will be coming back!

Dont waste your money and time in this resort. We checked in for the swimming pool but were not allowed since they said the pool was already reserved for a guest for the whole day. They should have informed us from the start that were not allowed in the pool we should have looked for another place to stay in. Aside from that no water for the wjole day,. Very poor customer service they wont cater your needs and the place is very dirty,. The water is brown. 4000 per night is not worthit.

it should be nice if there was a staff that would check in the cottage to assist the customer, i was the one who get it in the front desk, not that bad but much better if it was the staff. they have a staff that watch over who go to swimming but the swimming pool is not that clean enough. They have a shower you can use but after 5pm it does'nt function anymore. They have a fountain but again it was turn off, not even a hour of usage, another also they started to turn off the lights on the pool and cottages and the customers started to pack their things up though they wanted to enjoy. On their post its up to 8pm but they started turning off around 6pm. Kinda disapponting and frustated. Before i forgot, foods they serve its kinda okay. Overall rating 2 stars only... If you want to satisfy customers, do some better services and more staff that could assist the customers need.

Typical resort na makikita near Tacloban. The facilities are not that okay. Cottages hindi ganun kagaganda. If you're looking for a resort na gusto mo maayos and magaganda ang facilities, this is not really the resort you're looking for. And their pizza is so overpriced considering the taste and quality. We went on a weekend and they only have one server for the entire resort. So you could imagine the service we received.

place is great if you want to enjoy a stress free environment. You can bring your own food as long as you pay a corkage fee. Pros: 1. Parking area is spacious Cons: -Toilet is dirty, no maintenance -presence of mosquitos (risk for dengue is high -Tables and chairs rental fee is 25 pesos ( mahal)

Poorest service. My 14-year old nephew got an accident in their pool due to unsafe and loosed metal ladder of the pool. His left foot got injured and suffered with two-layered skin laceration. What's worse?! No medics around. The life guard just gave us 1 piece of 4x4 gauze and a small bottle of Betadine. How would the bleeding be controlled with a piece of gauze? He even told my sister who is a professional nurse that the lacerations need not medical attention. But my sister insisted that it needs suturing and she gave my nephew first aid to stop the bleeding and used mask instead to cover the wound with pressure since they can't provide another piece of gauze. We soon found out from the lifeguard himself that he is aware of that defective pool ladder for quite sometime and they just pull it out after the incident. The manager did not talk to us. The staff there even hide his/her identity when we asked what's his/her name and gave us excuses of his/her whereabouts. The management did not in any way help us to take my nephew to the nearest hospital. The management did not take any responsibility at all. They did not even apologize for their negligence. As a result of their poor management and negligence, my nephew can't walk temporarily because of the wound and had a trauma. He is under observation now.

Friendliness of the owners and staff of Playa Alegre was extraordinary. Amazing vibes of both place and people. The owner himself sits with you over a coffee and shares amazing experiences making the whole stay feel like home. Super impressed and will definitely stay whenever I return.

ChatGPT Our visit took place during a family occasion, and we had the opportunity to enjoy various amenities. The venue offers cottages that can be rented, providing comfortable accommodation. Additionally, there is a pool available for guests to enjoy. Furthermore, there is a spacious function hall where a wedding reception was taking place, adding to the festive atmosphere. One of the notable features of the location is its accessibility to the beach, which offers a picturesque view of the Pacific Ocean.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Playa Alegre, and I must say, it is a truly breathtaking destination. Nestled along the coast, Playa Alegre offers a serene and picturesque setting that is perfect for those seeking relaxation and natural beauty. The beach at Playa Alegre is nothing short of stunning. The pristine white sand stretches for miles, inviting visitors to take a leisurely stroll or simply lounge under the sun. The crystal-clear turquoise waters are incredibly inviting, and swimming in them feels like a refreshing and rejuvenating experience. Whether you're looking to swim, snorkel, or simply bask in the beauty of the ocean, Playa Alegre has it all.

Playa Alegre is an absolute paradise tucked away on the stunning coastline. From the moment I set foot on the beach, I was captivated by its natural beauty and the tranquil atmosphere. The crystal-clear turquoise waters and powdery white sand create a picturesque setting that is straight out of a postcard. The beach itself is well-maintained and offers ample space for sunbathing, building sandcastles, or simply taking long walks along the shore. The water is perfect for swimming, with gentle waves and a gradual slope, making it suitable for visitors of all ages. Snorkeling enthusiasts will also be thrilled to discover the vibrant marine life and colorful coral reefs just a short distance from the shore. One of the standout features of Playa Alegre is its peaceful ambiance. Unlike some crowded tourist destinations, this beach manages to maintain a serene and intimate atmosphere. Whether you're seeking a relaxing day under the sun or a quiet spot to unwind with a good book, Playa Alegre provides the perfect backdrop for solitude and rejuvenation. The facilities at Playa Alegre are top-notch. There are clean restrooms and showers available for visitors, ensuring a comfortable experience throughout your stay. Additionally, the beach is lined with cozy loungers and umbrellas, allowing you to soak up the sun in style. Friendly and attentive staff members are always on hand to assist with any requests or provide information about the area. Another highlight of Playa Alegre is the range of activities available for those looking for some adventure. From jet skiing and kayaking to paddleboarding and beach volleyball, there is no shortage of options to keep you entertained. If you're in the mood for exploration, you can also rent a bicycle and take a scenic ride along the coastal paths. When it comes to dining, Playa Alegre doesn't disappoint. There are several beachside restaurants and bars offering a variety of delicious local cuisine and refreshing beverages. Whether you're craving fresh seafood, tropical cocktails, or traditional snacks, you'll find plenty of options to satisfy your palate. Overall, Playa Alegre is a hidden gem that offers a perfect blend of natural beauty, tranquility, and recreational activities. Whether you're a beach lover, an adventure seeker, or simply someone in need of relaxation, this beach has something to offer everyone. I highly recommend visiting Playa Alegre for an unforgettable beach experience.

The place is peaceful, and I like how the cottage by the ocean is built. The food is very disappointing and not worth the price. The burger, sandwich & mussels my family ordered were drowned in sweet ketchup and mayo. I requested the potato and fries dish to have the ground pork removed but still found traces of it in the dish and the oil tasted like meat. Maybe just order their grilled dishes if you plan on eating here. Their dishes need to be developed and their kitchen staff needs to be mindful of very basic requests and instructions.

The rooms as well as the rest of the grounds were very clean and cozy. We had a comfortable stay. The place is far from the city and the fresh wind made the atmosphere very serene. The staff were also very accommodating and the food was delicious. And to top it all, the view of the great Pacific was amazing! We were able to take beautiful instagram-worthy sunset pictures. The small hut at the edge and the big standing wood aesthetic were also a great touch. The murals were also cute. To be honest, I was kinda put off by the dirty, garbage-filled areas along the shore, especially the part where there were numerous rocks. But overall, its a really nice place to just relax and have fun with friends and family. Oh, and they also have karaoke for rent and a volleyball net you can borrow!

Their room accommodations are also quite spacious, very clean and just right for the budget. They also cater to special events e.g. beach wedding, team building, retreats etc. This place is definitely the place to be in Leyte! Thank you, Playa Alegre. Oh very nice place, and suitable for family/barkada outing, dinner, date. But not suitable for swimming, its situated between two rivers passing through town proper. And the water fro the river, it has a kind of smell. Despite of that, I like their Sisig :-)

I would never ever recommend this resort to anyone. Service was horrible. The server named Rafael was so rude (we were told that a lot of people complained about him. I will never understand why the management still allow this kind of person to work there). Pool is far away from the cottages. The live band was far away from the cottages too, we almost couldn’t hear them anymore. Some of the meat from the boodle fight we ordered were not cooked properly. Plus we were also told they were out of plastic cups. Like seriously? Did they expect us to just drink directly from the pitcher? πŸ˜‚We ended up buying our own food and utensils from the nearby talipapa. The rooms are okay but not great. Overall experience is 1/10. This is by far the worst resort i’ve ever visited.

Service: Poor. The room was advertised with WiFi, but no WiFi was provided. The TV in the room was useless; there was no WiFi, which meant you couldn't access Netflix. The cable/signal of the TV was not working well. Price: Inaccurate. The staff overcharged us with our final bill. They overcharged the person before us, making me suspect that they'd do the same to us. And I was not wrong. No OR was provided. Also, we booked a room that was good for 3 pax w/ free breakfast (as advertised by their Facebook page). We later found out that the complimentary breakfast was only for 2 pax.

POOR. They response poorly to lost valuables, it seems they don't even care to search the place and care to ask remaining guests and do a little investigation despite the request. Even if it is under the guests' personal care a sympathetic host always give personal touches to guests but they don't and it's just sad. Their pool is way out of sight to carers and kids swimming in the pool since it's distant from the cottages very inconvenient. Senior citizens don't get discount privileges, among a group of seniors, only 2 can avail and government should address establishments who are not honest in giving discounts.
