It's located a bit far from the town, service wise they're okay not so bad in terms of the room we had asked for an extra mattress but i found it pretty worn down in terms of its cushioning otherwise the hotel is not so bad the staff are also hospitable.

This place is not bad. It's clean, and the bed, though it feels like a rock when you first plop down on it, is actually pretty comfortable. It's likely one of the best hotels in this area. The staff is helpful and friendly. Breakfast is included, but I had to check out too early to try it. It's very doable for 1 or 2 nights when passing through Tanga. You can walk to nearby restaurants, a market & the museum.

Mtendele Hotel Tanga I didn’t think an overnight hotel stay could make me fall in love with a hotel, but here it does, and not in a preachy way. The staff are all on board and welcoming to visitors. I stayed for one night on my was to Usambara Mountains. Each room has a table – so it’s great for those who want to catch up on work or emails from their laptops. Coffee and delicious food are available in the restaurant on the ground floor. The studio is flooded with light from big windows and has everything you could expect from a mid range stay: big, comfy bed with crisp linen, hot shower and AC. Next morning I headed to the bus stop and got the 5AM bus to Lushoto town where Usambara ranges are. Mtendele is comfort and simple.

Rooms clean and kept well but very small. Washroom small. Rooms have no safe lock or cupboard with (working) locks. Ac and fans available in the room. The breakfast option was terrible. Food was not enough, by 8.30am they had run out of most of the items on the buffet. A La carte service was poor. Location is ideal.

Small rooms they have clean sheets and towels but they are old, been in better Hotels and Lodges in Tanga with the same pricetag but they're better compare to here - the area needs improvement. Security and parking lots are available, and the password of Wi-fi kinda weird and doesn't work too, just put a simple password please, good customer service.

They scammed us and a few others for an extra day and refused to give us our room keys which had our personal belongings in it.

πŸ‘ Nice place. The hall is big enough with required facilities. The food is tasty with coastal taste mainly basing on Swahili and Arab cultures. Staff is disciplined wearing a nice smile all the time and ready to serve whenever needed.

😠 The room and the hotel were nice and clean and the dinner was good. The meager one stars because we really had lots of problems with the service and costs. Firstly the cleaning service took out clothes from the bathroom and washed them, even though we didn't ask for it and they asked almost 15 USD...
