Tanga yatch club is a nice place to go and read a book, get a drink or watch the lit sky of the evening sunset upon the far Usambara mountains. Its a place to get a boat and have a cruise along the Tanga port and its coast in general.

Absolutely unbelievable the treatment received! We came from the closeby beach (with a baby by the way) and wanted to go upstairs to buy the ticket. The guard at the entrance is just crazy and started weaving its stick and wanting to attack us. He didn’t want me to go to management and tried to stop me. Upon reaching management, they were even more of a joke, laughing and taking it very lightly. Basically they would just say ‘pay and it’s no problem’. Apologies were given smiling - even more of a joke. They obviously don’t want clients and we will happily avoid this place forever. Maybe the problem is a black husband?

i spent the whole afternoon chilling here. there is a temporary membership fee like most yacth clubs but it was reasonable (about 6$au). and the food was superb. one of the few places in east Africa where the sun sets over the sea. i miss Brighton and Seacliff yacth club now

Lovely spot. Very welcoming and friendly to visiting yachts, with loads of invaluable information. With temporary membership/anchoring fees, there is a clever dinghy system that works with the big tides, free washing water, and cheap drinks. The staff, which includes security, is helpful and nice. There is food available as well that is reasonable and tasty. They even provide once-a-month opti sailing for the kids.

A quite cool and comfy place with a good shore view field with small yachts. Though its a members only place which mostly garrantee your safety but once you manage to get there you will enjoy the best food (Chicken paka with chips😋) and good bar with all kinds of drinks.

Good spot to grab a drink and watch the sunset. Dinner was delicious (fish masala and Gerbard's Special) and reasonably priced. The only downside is the cost to non-members to enter (6000 pp) and the odd voucher system for drinks at the bar.

A nice place to hang out for sunset. The place seems popular with expats and of course yacht owners. There's a 10,000 tzs entry fee but prices for beer and food are reasonable. The beach itself is no better than the 500 tzs Raskazone beach club next door.
