This
is
a
place
that
epitomizes
authenticity
-
be
it
the
food
with
its
palatable
home-made
fusion
recipes,
or
the
live
music
at
its
finest,
or
simply
the
amazing
company
and
homely
vibes
exuding
from
the
people
here,
it
makes
for
an
amazing
experience.
To
me,
what
makes
this
place
stand
out
is
the
close-knit
community
that
has
been
formed
here.
While
I
was
taking
photographs
of
D'Loovi's,
a
young
gentleman
walked
in,
and
multiple
times
was
he
greeted
cheerfully
with
the
same
question
-
'How
was
Langkawi?!'.
Everyone
in
D'Loovi's
knew
him;
everyone
pretty
much
knew
each
other.
They
laughed
like
old
buddies,
shared
their
stories;
it
was
a
very
pleasant
vibe.
In
time,
others
coming
in
D'Loovi's
joined
the
throng.
Musicians,
office
workers,
and
people
of
various
occupations
made
this
a
welcoming
community.
The
owner
of
this
place,
by
the
name
of
Kelvin
D'Loovi,
makes
for
a
most
friendly
and
genuine
person.
I
enjoy
music
thoroughly,
and
I
love
how
the
violin
is
prominently
displayed
here
(I
am
a
violinist
myself).
The
music
sensation
is
strong,
where
musicians
often
gather
here
for
live
performances.
Reading
the
reviews
online,
live
music
is
often
mentioned
to
be
amazing
here.
I
sadly
have
yet
to
experience
the
music
scene
here,
as
the
Movement
Control
Order
due
to
COVID-19
has
had
the
wings
of
fellow
musicians
clipped.
That
will
have
to
be
an
experience
for
another
time.
For
dinner,
I
was
recommended
the
home-cooked
mutton
rendang
-
and
boy,
it
was
impeccably
prepared.
Simply
superb.
Kelvin
himself
ensures
that
the
dishes
served
are
up
to
standard.
When
I
requested
for
no
Cole-slaw,
he
whipped
up
stir-fried
vegetables
with
bitter
gourd,
and
that,
surprisingly,
perfectly
complemented
the
mutton
rendang.
As
I
previously
mentioned,
this
place
serves
home-made
fusion
recipes
at
its
finest.
I
don't
at
all
drink
alcohol,
but
the
non-alcoholic
beverages
were
splendid.
Fresh
juices
and
mocktails
are
readily
available.
They're
constantly
coming
with
new
ideas
for
their
menu,
and
I
was
recommended
the
vanilla
milkshake.
A
little
bit
on
the
sweet
side,
but
still,
kudos
to
the
innovation
the
team
here
has.
D'Loovi's
is
beautifully
designed.
It
boasts
a
majestic
exterior
of
what
looks
to
be
grand
pillars,
with
an
entrance
seemingly
hidden
to
the
eye.
Enter
the
door
and
you
behold
an
epiphany
of
colours,
music
instruments,
and
trinkets
placed
in
an
orderliness
that
complements
the
vibes
of
this
place.
I
have
a
strong
aversion
towards
cigarette
smoke
(being
a
doctor,
oh
well),
and
I
love
how
the
interior
of
D'Loovi's
is
a
non-smoking
area.
Should
one
wish
to
smoke
(which
of
course,
I
would
discourage),
there
is
an
allocated
balcony
outside
which
comprises
of
an
artfully
designed
garden.
If
you
are
into
great
live
music,
or
into
finding
communities
as
such,
this
is
the
place
to
be
at.
Authentic
music,
authentic
food,
authentic
people
-
that's
D'Loovi's.
