As a first timer visitor, i wasnt expecting much yet finally gone-out in an awe, jaw-dropped stunned by its beauty. Was intrigued by the naming.... how come a beach named after Tanjung Karang -happened to be a capitol of Lampung Province, Sumatra- lies in Labuan Bajo -where only dragons can be found alive- but the landscape is in Donggala -known to its best beef stew with marrows- somewhere parted thousands of kilometers from Sumatra and Lombok. Confusing 😉 But just wait till you land your feet to its whitey sands, clear views water and... well preserved + mosy virgin corals and reefs. My colleagues even suggested that the two are best versus Lombok's Gilis and not to mention Bali or Bunaken. About an hour by car from downtown Palu, accomodation could be a challenge around Tanjung Karang with only one decent hotel/bungalows that is available. But if you can just pack your backpack and go, then the area is simply welcoming and resourceful. We were a bit late in chasing sunset -better be on the site at 4pm to get a chance of fishfeeding- we still enjoyed a majestic sunset with some lil clouds and again: the freshy clear view sea! Sure will be back again soon to Palu with the right gears for water or someone whispering that even best by having another stop at Matantimali. Palu, Tanjung Karang, you are underrated. Love you!

A nice and quiet beach on weekdays. White sands, crystal clear water, good snorkling & diving spot. Many proper cottages available, easy access from Palu (1 hour drive), good food, and also great view. The beach line is not really long. People needs to keep the beach clean 😉

Beutifull coral and many kind of fish.. Find a jelly fish, not poisionouse, like a jelly, so slipery.. After desaster this place seem not change. Recomeded place to visit. For family is gopd place to relax and see the beautifull creation of Allah. Order food, grilled fish from local restaurant, with local teste, and seasoning... teaste is very good... Spicy or sour any options u pick... The fried banana with peanuts spicy.. so great too..

One of the favorite tourist destinations in Donggala district because the access is quite close to the center of Palu city, with beautiful views and white sand and various rides that can be played here, as well as many other facilities, including this must-visit destination if you are in the city Palu🔥

It is nice beach. When you just have 1 hour road trip from Palu City. Nice sand, good food, have enough water to spool, amazing underwater view, and have water sports as well.

Actually, the beach is nice, there are banana boat facilities and snorkeling by boat, but it is poorly maintained and there is a lot of rubbish. Regional government intervention is needed to manage it

It's a nice place to spend summer time, but at local vacation time, this place have a hundreds people gathering at the same place to spend their vacation and it gets crowd easly
