Beyond our expectations. Gorgeous hotel and the views are stunning, especially on a nice day. The staff be areas very friendly and go above and beyond to help out. The flathead and chips was big enough for two (we shared and they gave us two plates be and cutlery without us asking - that's great service). We also enjoyed our 4 Pines and Peroni on tap - total meal including drinks were $31 (peroni on special though)

very welcoming and friendly staff, great food, facilities and atmosphere. the food at the bistro was fresh and delicious and the lovely lady who served us made us feel very welcome and constantly engaged with and made my 6 yr old daughter laugh while she served us dinner and dessert. the bar area had plenty of beers on tap and many screens to view sports. the fire places scattered through the place made it feel very comfortable and warm. i would definitley recommend this place for a beer or a bite. the day time view of the river out back looks fabulous.

Super friendly staff. Good poker games.. Had lunch here yesterday. I ordered fish and chips after confirmation that the fish used was NOT basa.It was flathead tails and it was absolutely delicious.

Had the $12 lunch special - Chicken Schnitzel - and it was one of the best schnittys I’ve had in a long time. Nice mixed herb coating, proper chicken breast inside and came with chips, salad and a choice of gravies! The schnitty itself took up most of the plate. For $12 it was amazing, would have happily paid $20+ for it. Staff were friendly and service was fast even though they were pretty busy. Grabbed a table outside overlooking the river - cracker of a spot. Definitely be back again. Probably soon. Update - I’ve been back here at least a dozen times and the quality and service has been the same every time.

Awesome service from staff at the Royal Hotel and as for the VIP LANGE the service is the best in town you never loose playing the pokies cause everyone is a winner at the Royal no matter what

It's a run of the mill standard pub. The vibe is ok, I felt safe and no one has bothered me any time that I've been here. The food is adequate and good portion sizes with nothing to complain about, and they do have a couple of veggie options that are really reasonable. Service has been friendly enough.

Great pub grub at such a reasonable lunch time rate. I had barramundi, delicious. Staff are lovely. Great views over the Manning river. The only down side , the smokers tables are in the outdoor patio area where it's so nice to sit, smoke and eating just don't mix anymore.

Cheap meals, however, Directly across from the kitchen is a smokers area with the door propped open. Entire venue smelling like cigarette smoke and causing my family to sit outside in the cold. Required to come up and collect meals of substandard quality, even ordered a second meal as the first wasn’t palatable, which was just as standard. Also paying over $2 extra for one cardboard takeaway container for the uneaten meals. Staff were friendly though and the venue was tidy and spacious.

What a great value. Great atmosphere. $12 lunches would recommend anybody going great place to get something to eat and drink

Went with a group of 9 for a lunch. All meals were lovely and very reasonably priced. I ordered a parmagiarna with a seafood sauce extra. This was the nicest one ive had for some time. Checken moist and the tomato based sauce the best. Seafood sauce was lovely too. You have to try their sticky date pudding. Yummo. Coffees were great. Cant fault anything. Venue spotless and all staff members were exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to make it a great experience.

Great atmosphere. I ordered the Royal Salad. Unfortunately like other eateries, the plate is excessively full of rocket with very little else. Less is more of the greens. Nothing much more was on the plate. It's both unappealing and a waste. Otherwise a nice location to enjoy lunch with friends.

Had $12 Barramundi for Lunch. Absolutely spot on!! Goodsize portions, great chips, salad had yummy dressing plus came with tartae sauce. Very friendly staff, lovely clean premises. We will be back !

Called in for lunch and was told it would be a 1hr wait due to only one Chef because of illness. Decided to order anyway and have a couple of cold drinks while waiting. We could see other meals coming out looking fantastic and the Chef working so hard. When our food arrived it was great. I had the Royal salad and Hubby had the salt and pepper squid. Such good value for $12 ! As one of the bar staff mentioned his quality never wanes and they are lucky to have him. We will be back.

We visited The Royal Hotel for the first time yesterday. The food was great. Amber the lady serving us was absolutely fantastic. She was very friendly & helpful & made our first visit lovely. We will definitely be back.

Good old style Pub in Taree,🍺 , nice affordable food, cheap beer , excellent beer garden that overlooks the river. Live🎸🥁🎙️ bands,good gaming🎰 room the ONLY PLACE ON THE Mid North Coast THAT GIVES PUNTERS 🎰FREE SNACKS❤️🍬🍿those little things make us go back .

Very nice staff. Super cheap lunch menu, $12 per meal and tasted delicious! We had grilled barramundi, chicken schnitzel, steak and squid. All were a good size and were served with chips and salad.

This pub serves fantastic meals, including the most tender rump steaks and great mushroom sauce. The staff are also very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend The Royal Hotel in Taree and I always eat there when passing though this lovely town.

Pretty good place to have a drink. Average pub but above average service from the bar staff and security guards. Food is fairly decent too, and they usually have colouring in supplies to keep the kiddos busy. Outdoor seating area is lovely on a summers eve

The sirloin steak was exceptional today. The texture was perfect and a generous size. Really spacious pub with gorgeous views over the manning River.

We had a lovely lunch meal and the staff were all very kind and helpful especially with the kids.
