tldr;
The
best
BBQ
comes
with
a
SUPER
long
wait.
Going
to
Goldee's?
Grab
your
beer,
lawn
chairs,
gazebo,
lawn
games,
and
anything
else
you'd
need
at
a
tailgate
because
it's
going
to
be
a
loong
wait.
The
majority
of
the
line
is
there
1.5
hrs
before
opening,
making
the
total
wait
around
3
hrs.
Note
to
self:
arrive
at
8am
next
time
to
be
at
the
front
of
the
line
and
avoid
the
sun.
Even
arriving
1.5
hrs
before
opening
on
Sunday,
there's
a
good
chance
that
most
meats
will
be
sold
out
before
you
get
to
the
front
of
the
line.
If
there's
anything
left,
it's
likely
the
brisket--
which
is
a
good
thing
because
that's
probably
what
you
are
there
for.
The
brisket
is
truly
amazing,
perhaps
the
best
I've
had.
We
visited
Texas
for
four
days
and
did
not
regret
dedicating
the
whole
morning
and
afternoon
for
this
BBQ.
That
being
said,
it
may
not
be
for
everyone
as
the
lines
are
very
long
and
there
is
limited
shade
coverage.
Also,
Goldee's
is
very
likely
to
run
out
if
you
don't
arrive
early
enough.
Our
host
who
normally
doesn't
eat
turkey
hyped
up
Goldee's
turkey
only
for
us
to
find
out
that
they
did
not
receive
turkey
to
prepare
that
week.
As
a
turkey
lover
already,
now
I
am
really
curious
about
what
makes
this
turkey
so
exceptional
but
may
never
know....
As
with
any
respectable
BBQ
joint,
the
sides
are
also
good.
Beans
are
not
mush
and
have
texture.
Potato
salad
is
the
classic
potato
salad
we
all
know.
The
slaw
looks
like
a
typical
slaw
but
is
my
favorite
from
any
BBQ
places.
Cheesy
grits
are
well-cooked
and
minimally,
well,
gritty.
The
bread
is
homemade
fresh
and
goes
great
with
the
brisket
and
sauce.
(This
is
coming
from
someone
who
never
eats
the
wimpy
bread
with
BBQ.)
I
also
love
the
atmosphere.
I
heard
they
sometimes
give
away
free
beer
but
didn't
see
it
happen
when
I
was
there.
There
IS
a
very
large
cooler
full
of
chilled
water
bottles
for
the
wait
though.
Staff
are
humble
and
chat
with
customers
waiting
in
line.
Everyone
there
is
excited
for
quality
BBQ.
The
line
may
take
forever
but
any
restlessness
melts
away
when
you
get
to
the
front
of
the
line
and
bite
into
the
free
burnt
end
sample...
If
the
opportunity
arises,
I'll
come
back
to
try
the
ribs
and
turkey.
Pros:
top-notch
BBQ;
best
bread
and
slaw;
friendly
staff
Cons:
long
waits;
most
menu
items
sell
out
early
