One of the best dining places Malaysia has to offer! Vegetarian menu, lush greenery views and a relaxing vibe. Must try the Mediterranean platter! Daily soup is never a disappointment. The burger is quite unique but tasted a bit too oily. Great selection of wines

The Fat Frog is a restaurant located in a golf course which serves Vegetarian Food. For starters, we ordered their today's special which is the Pumpkin & Orange soup. It was thick and the pumpkin-orange taste was balanced. Good for sharing. @danielkopial ordered the Mushroom Bean Burger and I had their signature The Fat Frog Curry. The curry consists of tempe and tofu cooked in a fragrant curry. It comes with fried egg and stir fried vegetables. The mushroom bean burger was quite good. There are other items on the menu such as pasta, quesadillas, salad and sandwiches. A different experience even for a meat lover like me. Should try if you are in Langkawi! We arrived during their 2 hour break (4 pm to 6pm) so we ordered drinks and had so many photo taking opportunities and also played with the 2 cute doggies, Harvey & Monty. So much fun and peace being the only customers. Beautiful place!

The foods are great, drink might still have the room of improvement. Cozy ambience with beautiful golf club view. Recommended and will definitely come back for my next langkawi trip. They do close for rest between 4pm - 6pm

Excellent service and good menu, especially that there are many vegetarian and vegan options. The staff and management were very professional and warm and we're happy to answer questions and offer suggestions. It's the best restaurant I went to during my week on Langkawi. I wish I hadn't discovered this restaurant so late in my stay or I would have been there regularly.

Located inside a golf course so it’s very quiet at night. Food was really really good! And the service was extraordinary, owner was very nice to us and the food he recommended was great. Really love the pizza and pasta that we ordered. Overall it’s a good place for dinner dates 👍🏻

Clean environment, peaceful ambience, cute dog and friendly staff. The Lava cake was so and so, Mushroom Bean Burger was appetizing and the Tempeh curry was okay. I would definitely return to this place again if I’m back to Langkawi.

OMG! If you don’t come here on your trip to Langkawi, then you have missed an absolute treat. You don’t have to be a vegetarian to have a fantastic meal here. If you look at my previous reviews, you can see that I don’t do many. We travel the world full-time, non-stop, and we love this place , and we’ve eaten in many. This is one of the best meals I can ever remember having. It will only cost you about $3 US to get a cab from anywhere on the island to here. You will save that on the beer and wine because nothing is overpriced. Everything is good value. The taste of the food is unbelievable. The service is great. Staff so friendly. Unfortunately, we only have two nights left, both of which will be spent here. I wish we’d found it earlier. They suggest pre-booking but don’t be put off. It it’s busy when you get here you can have a couple of drinks at the bar until the table is ready. Believe me, you are in for a real treat. 👍

This is truly an amazing place. Every single dish we ordered was perfectly cooked. Berry smoothie is best from smoothies section. They make everything in house, so it is very fresh. The staff is very friendly.

A beautiful vegetarian restaurant next to a golf course in Langkawi. I was looking for lunch places and this came up as a highly rated one. Upon arriving, we through the place was closed! Turns out the front end is a golf store and the restaurant was further as the back. Everything about this restaurant is so scenic, from the entrance walk, decor, toilet, seating area and the majestic views. We started off with the cheese quesadillas and they were so delicious, especially with a touch of Tabasco. For mains my wife tried the mushroom ravioli and she said it was one of the best she’s tried! Creamy and packed with mushroom flavours. I instinctively wanted to try a paste dish as well but they recommend their signature curry dish. It comes with vegetable, egg and rice. The curry was alright, a little too mild for my liking. Perfect for someone who’s never had curry before but for a local like me, I prefer a punchy spicy Indian curry. Overall, a great dining experience and you can even take some photos after!

Very calm and beautiful scenery which adds to the lure of eating here. The restaurant is fully vegetarian, so not for the meat lovers. We enjoyed the mushroom burger and the lovely desserts (lava cake, lemon drizzle). I found the brownie too sweet. The spaghetti Bologna’s and Magharita pizza were above average for a vegetarian dish.

Googled this restaurant and decided to go for a try. Indeed not disappointed. The foods were nice, the lady owner very friendly. Though is a non aircon area, the scenery was awesome.

We are so glad we found here while staying in Langkawi. Malaysia is often hard when it comes to vegetarian food. If you're veggie/vegan, look no further. We ate here 2 nights in a row. Food was fantastic as was the service. Highly recommend!

We Had dinner at the fat frog on our first night in Langkawi and it’s a must visit place! They have a very thoughtfully crafted menu which is all vegetarian and vegan and tastes so damn good! We had the Mediterranean Platter which is a must try and the Margarita Pizza which was baked to perfection. The lava cake and sticky toffee pudding were my favourite 🤩 Definitely going to go here again when I visit next time.

Amazing vegetarian (not vegan) cuisine. Food service was timely too. Was greeted by an elder golden retriever. Ambience was quiet and full of greenery. Each dish ranges around RM25-35 so it is on a higher side but given the quality, taste and service, it was worth it that made the start of our vacay.

Must come if you visit to langkawi. Nice place to chill if you got nothing to do in the afternoon. This place is next to golf course, so you get to enjoy the green scenery while you are enjoying your meal or perhaps a glass of beer. 😆 We ordered a risotto for sharing, it tasted so good. This is meat free restaurant fyi. And they are pet friendly.

Accidentally bump into this place, which recommended by xhs post. Was a super duper amazing food & surrounding atmosphere experience here. Ordered [Tomato & Basil], [Baked Gnocchi Spicy Tomato Sauce], [Stuffed Portobello Mushroom], and last but not least a Crème Brûlée dessert! Luckily wasn’t peak season when I visited.

Dec 2023. One of the few vegetarian options on the Island. The atmosphere was excellent, nestled within a golf club (which we didn’t expect, but provided a lovely backdrop for our meal). Staff were really polite, patient and proud of their food. We tried the specials that were off the menu - Shepherd’s Pie and Tomato-based Gnocchi, which were pretty tasty and worth every penny. I personally loved the texture of the potato on the pie. However, we were too full to even try their desserts - lava cake and apple raspberry crumble, , even though they sounded really yummy. Hence we hope to return another day. Critically speaking, only the drinks were a tad lacking. (We had lemonade - too sour; and coffee - small portion, lack of strong coffee flavours)

A pure veg place. The food was really good. I tried the fat frog curry with watermelon mint drink which was awesome. We also tried the creme brule for the dessert which was again awesome. So anyone in langkawi looking for pure veg option with spectacular scenery I would recommend.

A lovely place to enjoy good food & wine! if you’re non-vegetarians who is open & willing to try out delicious vegan food, do pay a visit at The Fat Frog. They offer a wide range of vegetarian/vegan food items, and they have special menu for the day too so you have plenty selections & they have desserts too. We have had a Mediterranean sharing platter, pizza, stuffed portobello mushroom & spaghetti. Enjoyed our dinner here after a long day spent at airport due to a flight delay, great hospitality that warms our heart. Thanks for the amazing food & services🫶

Casual dining meets fine dining at the Fat Frog! 🤩 Delicious vegetarian/vegan restaurant with exquisite wine selection. We were taken to their cellar to select our bottle. The host was incredibly helpful, witty and conversational. Made our visit feel so exclusive. We had starters, mains and desserts and everything was great! We are meat eaters but didn't miss it whatsoever. We went in the evening but if you go during the day they have a lovely lawn for boals and other games. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Loved the food. The host is friendly and customizes according to your need. We were vegetarians and this place offered wide range of veg dishes. The view from this place is definitely an added advantage!

Had an amazing time at The Fat Frog! The owner was a genuinely nice guy, delivered on his promise of a great seating arrangement. The ambience, surrounded by lush greenery and a charming cat, adds to the delightful atmosphere. The vegan options are stellar, especially the risotto and burger – absolute favorites. Highly recommended!

Absolutely love this place! The staff are super friendly, the food is impeccable, the drinks are fantastic, the view is beautiful. I've left the island and all I can think about is how I'd love to go back and try more dishes! A must try of you're in Langkawi, vegetarian or not, there's something for everyone! We went twice, had the curry, the open burger and spaghetti Bolognese, platter, rice balls, Pimms, the falafel salad which was altered with mash potatoes instead of salad because I'm fussy and missed the comfort food of mash, the lava cake is also a must!

What an incredible place! We were unaware of the ethos before going in; vegetarian, home grown, local produce etc and were pleasantly surprised. Delicious food, lovely atmosphere and brilliant service. As a meat eater, I did not feel like I missed out. The Team were very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend. Thank you for a lovely evening!

Must go for delicious vegetarian food, excellent ambience and welcoming, friendly staff. Tip: check out their special menu, especially the bolognese pasta.(Well-seasoned with olives that really made us inhale the dish, which explains the lack of a picture) Their bean burger was excellent, with a flavorful patty that had good texture without being too mushy. Ordered a creamy mushroom ravioli too, with each parcel being well-cooked with tasty filling. Lasagna's sauce was delicious and had plenty of vegetables for a hearty main. Finally, we ordered the potato puff and cheesy quesadillas as sides to share. Potato filling carried plenty of spice aromas and came with a delicious, spicy dip. Highly recommended spot for tantalising, filling fare. The staff there too, were friendly and welcoming, even setting up additional pans with mosquito repelling coils for us during the two times we had dinner at the place. Definitely the culinary highlight of our trip to Langkawi as a vegetarian family.

Vegan restaurant beside a golf course. The pasta was superb. Cooked al-dente and seasoning on point. The fat frog curry was kinda average. It's like eating diluted version of green curry. The herb and spices was really light on the pallette and the curry was watery. Maybe it's their style but I'm really not a fan of it. Service was pretty slow. Served the soup and pasta. Then the curry we waited really long about 30mins or more. They also missed out a juice we ordered. The location was quiet and spacious but could improve on the cooling system like large blower to beat the afternoon heat as all are alfresco (outdoor) seats without air conditioning. Price is slightly steep considering no aircond.

Risotto is nice if you put the correct amount of salt. Wrap of the day & cheesy quesadillas is recommended 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Waitress is attentive and friendly. Should've install few exhaust fan, the table we sit is hot like sauna, all of us sweating even though there is a wall fan.

I didn't know vegetarian can be this good. Honestly, this change my perspective about vegetarian. Penned Arrabbiata was delicious. I don't want to share it (but you have to share so your tummy can fit dessert and other food). Try the dessert, any dessert, you would not be disappointed.

This was our kids favorite restaurant. We went twice in 3 nights on our kids request. Food and service was all excellent. Recommend the bruschetta, ravioli, risotto and roast pumpkin and broccoli salad. They have green space for kids to run around and the view is spectacular. The prices are also very affordable.
