    Can't beat the price for the dish you get. Sure it isn't the best but with Malaysian hawker food that beats most any place in Australia, what's not to love?

    Wantan mee with loh gravy. It's delicious. You can ask for sambal chilli or green chillies. Restaurant is clean. Staff are good.

    Nice little Wan Tan Mee shop. Got the large sized soup. Chicken based broth is tasty. The ingredients tasted fresh. The star of the show were the wan tans, as the filing is delicious and complex. Friendly and prompt service. Definitely recommend for breakfast and lunch.

    Just another Wantan Mee joint, we thought. Just another generic Wantan Mee without any specialities, we thought. Just another kopitiam wannabe emphasizing on Wantan Mee, we thought. Oh how we were wrong 😅 The noodles are al dente with a slight hint of umami. The char siew are acceptable, but the Wantans are spectacular. One biter with a lot of meat and flavor wrapped in a thin Wantan skin. And the chap, the magical liquid that envelopes every little strand of the noodles and wantan is sublime to say the least. Overall it was a pleasant experience, coupled with an over friendly waiter from Cilacap, Indonesia, making the dining experience memorable and fun. Definitely will be back.

    Somewhat difficult to find parking spot due to morning market and limited parking space. The wan tan mee gravy is thick and delicious.

    Another version of wan tan mee (dumpling noodles) with thick gravy. There's a selection of fried dumpling / boiled dumpling and it's served with shredded chicken meat, vege, mushrooms and char siew. Best eaten with pickled chillies and sambal!

    Excellent Wanton Noodles with a more thicker gravy. By 1pm, there is only the soup wanton and wanton noodles. Portion is generous and for medium portion, good for 2 pax since there are more food around corner of the road.

    First time having wantan noodle that comes with thick sauce. But overall taste was good. Deep fried wantan that cames with the noodles were crispy and taste so good. Maybe coz it’s a bit salty and I like food that is slightly salty. Big portion cost $9.50 while the smaller one cost $7.50. I will go for the smaller round the next round. Too many things to eat in Penang.

    This place serves an interesting tasting wtm. It's not the usual classical dark sauce with tinge of salt and sweetness you are used to. There's another dimension to this taste. They add this starchy sauce which reminds me of tua pan sauce to the dark soy base. Makes this wtm unique but I am at two minds whether it makes it better. I must say that the char siew and chicken pieces that they serve is fresh and tastes superb. Tender chewy meat that contrast perfectly with the crunchy delicious fried wantan. The barley drink is also delicious especially with the zest of added lemon. I guess this will serve as a good distraction for the days you are bored of the usual wtm.

    WANTAN MEE and home brewed barley in Pulau Tikus Penang. Its different to wantan mee i am used to eating. There is lotsa ingredients and sauce. Green pickled chilli also nice. Pretty tasty. Am happy that it is authentic and still very Penang. They also have choice of other noodles.popular among the locals.

    Tastes quite good. But be careful when ordering Large as sometimes they serve Regular size and "pretend" that it's large unless you queried them. The large comes with extra wantons (5), be mindful of the quantity when served! Other than the intended or unintended "dishonesty", overall was good.

    the meal is already pricey, yet they want to charge RM1 for requesting extra small soup only. Add extra ice is RM0.50per cup. Probably they started unfriendly business.

    1. Crowded for breakfast; 2. Fast service; 3. You can taste different types of wantan noodle (the dry one) kind of different from the typical wantan noodle;

    Every single day I go to this shop, as routine work. It means very nice even if you re Japanese.

    Penang style (Hokkienised) wantan mee that perhaps southern folk will not be accustomed to...and I find it rather costly

    Pork fragrance is really nice. They put Loh inside their wan tan mee with mushrooms with pork lard.

    Sauce is special - black sauce with a sticky starchy gravy with abit of egg. Interesting that they have mushroom and shredded chicken with their noodles, together with the usual wanton, veg and char siew. The less tastiness of the mixed gravy stems from the fact that not a lot of lard was given (the one at chulia street has a lot of lard flavour). But nonetheless, they are still deserving of the 5 stars due to its innovative mix of gravy and slight tinge of healthiness due to lesser lard oil (self-comfort to me heheh).
