What a boring airport. It's quick but there is absolutely nothing to do once you pass the passeport control. The business lounge was closed, there are no shops, nothing to do and not enough places to sit. Toilet facilities are disgusting

Business Lounge is not available to Business Class passengers. Economy is fine, but an economy experience at business class prices and expectations is as bad as it gets! Turkish Airlines, but I don't think it matters... This airport sells its business class separately to the airlines (thus doubling our time making arrangements, nevermind the cost.) WiFi doesn't work (code via SMS system; code doesn't arrive.) Sign posting is pretty bad. Security is 80's blue shoes style. Access to business class check in is awful, because all the business class signs refer to the airports own business class service which is not included with business class tickets. Therefore redundant time wasting queues that give the opportunity to embarrass guests. At 7am it's not very busy but queues are already annoyingly long.

The airport, itself, is lovely. Itโ€™s clean with several of duty free shop, handmade crafts shop, restaurants, cafe and kiosk. But free Wi-Fi was almost impossible to connect too. Charging connection areas were almost non existent, we were at the airport and there were charging connections everywhere. Hopefully will be better after this. Raxmat!

One of the worst capital city airports in the world: - Every now and then a suitcase is stuck into a cable cover on the floor. - The floor is not flat, it may rise and fall, suitcase just moves itself and does not stand firmly. - Business lounge restaurant is located one floor higher and there is no elevator. - Airport personnel may talk to you and talk on the phone at the same time, never say please, sorry etc. - zero manners. - X-ray scan personnel has little knowledge of technical devices, may ask to open a suitcase just because they donโ€™t know how a wireless charger looks like.

A massive improvement with opening of a new terminal. Immigration is now extremely quick as well as new staff is much more friendly, also the "famous" customs harassment is no longer the case. The departure area is still lacking good cafes and bars.

I am in Tashkent International airport at the moment and waiting for connecting flight to Delhi. Internet is very bad , Business lounge paid facility only by using card , no cash accepted . I went to the AIR CAFE in airport which is the only one here to buy some food since I need to wait for another 4 hrs . The Guy is behaving very rude & he said it is closed by 9.55 p.m but he is serving to others . This is an disaster airport , I asked by cash , dollars accepted, I sit in one place to take cash from my bag then i went to counter but he refused and said no to me . I did not expect this kind of rude and arrogant service in International Airport . Really disappointed

Too bad experience here!! I came for Tashkent with my kids to enjoy our vacation, but instead of this my laptop was lost or stolen inside the airport after i arrived here. I spent 3 days coming to the airport, complaining and every person or office transfer me to the other one! At the last when we request from them to review the cameras they let us go to the police station outside the airport and they said it needs a month to look for it!!!

    1. When entering the country - When you pick up your luggage at the airport, it comes out slower than in Korea, but the people in Uzbekistan who are waiting for your luggage together are very friendly to the Koreans. - As soon as you leave the airport, taxi drivers start to solicit customers. It is best to use the Yantex taxi app. 2. When leaving the country - There is an airport lounge when you leave the country. The food is good and the drinks and alcohol are well prepared, but the serving staff is very unfriendly. - It's been a long time since I've seen employees with such a lack of service spirit. - Uzbekistan is also growing vigorously in all aspects, including the economy, but this aspect needs to be corrected.

Coming from anther County and I didn't stay in Uzbekistan just bought our tickets to go to turkey but there unfriendly stuff was asking me for gold when I told them I don't have any then they start looking for gold on me and then they asked for money so I give them 20โ‚ฌto leave us alone. This was my first and last time to us their airport. I loved to visit Uzbekistan ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฟbut unfortunately they r very unfriendly stuff ๐Ÿ˜ข.

One of the worst airports as far as the flying people ratio / service personnel by airlines. Istanbul check in counters are always full and it takes at least 1 hour to wait in the line, blocking the entire departures hall. Tashkent is a big city and capital of Uzbekistan and deserves bigger and more comfortable airport.

As a person who is having experience in multiple countries airportsโ€™ , I hope you will find reviews useful. Whatโ€™s special about place: easy access toward airport, and as person who travels seasonal from this airport, I can surely say airport structure is improving Year by year, itโ€™s impressive. Customer service: As a airline professional, I assure you, staff in airport need customer service training, fly in the morning, afternoon or midnight, I never see staff follows grooming standards, I never saw any staff is welcoming the passenger who is approaching to the check in counter with smile, no greeting, zero professionalism ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿฝโ€โ™€๏ธ. Today I had flight with Wizz Air TAS-AUH with flight number 5W 7160, and I had very, very bad experience with the airport and airline service, itโ€™s to disappointing and sad ๐Ÿ˜ž. Even though I was in priority counter it took more than 55 minutes to reach to counter. Once I wanted to approach to airline representative, gentleman name was Farhod Khodjaev, he didnโ€™t react even, it shows how much nonadequate and nonprofessional is airline representative itself( he really, really needs โ€œcustomer service โ€œ training, still I have a doubt that he had one). Due to late arrival of inbound flight, weโ€™re expecting for an hour delay in departure. No information given by counter staff about delay or gate number. Not a single security questions are asked while check-in process . Itโ€™s against safety and security protocols. So many things needs to be improved . But still thanks for ADM(forgot to take his name) for his approach and being a good listener for the feedbacks and complaints I did. Cleanness: itโ€™s clean enough Overall experience: I really, really would ask from local airport authorities to take the control, what is happening with the ground services, as Uzbekistan is going to become one of the most visited destinations in future. And I really wish whoever is visiting to our country airport will leave the place only with good impression. Boarding gate area: clean, tidy, accurate, announcement ๐Ÿ“ข are listenable. You can have food and beverages, plus there is free wi fi access. I hope local airports concerns consider my feedback and will action accordingly.

Upon Arrival 1. Bring dollars or euro only 2. Exchange after immigration (good rate as compared to outside) 3. Get local sim (u cell) at information counter after immigration (70000soms get 8 gb data and free calling minutes) 4. For city travelling in Tashkent, install Yandex app( like Uber and careem) Upon departure ๐Ÿ›ซ They are not changing som to dollars, as they are asking paper from bank *HAPPY STAY*

Departure Korean Air was in the new hall. A new service has appeared at the airport, when everything is done for you, from check-in to baggage check-in. New big. There are national souvenirs in duty free.

Boarding pass and security check (at the entry) was pretty quick. The guy at the boarding pass counter was pretty disinterested with the entire process though. Cabin baggage is checked again at security. The duty free area is small but has a lot of European brands. Restrooms are decently clean and there's a small cafe near the boarding gates. It's a small but functional airport, except for the super loud boarding announcements which can give you a headache.

-You can get alcohol and cosmetics (standard). Very few cigarettes but available. -You can buy uzbekistan souvenirs and gifts, however they are 3-4 times more expensive than at the market in Tashkent (even without negociating). I strongly suggest visiting chorsu market for the tippical souvenirs. There are two ceramics shops and engraved plates, some clothes, pouches, figures and boxes. There is quite a lot of choice. The Christmas tree balls are 80usd, while they were between 15-30 before nรฉgociation in Samarkand The tea pot sets (the ones you see everywhere) are 80usd while you can get them for 25-30 at the market (and probably less with nรฉgociation skills) Wooden carved boxes are 80 as well. -There are two coffee / food places. Coffee is very expensive. Tea is reasonably priced. -To have an idea upon arriving, a taxi to cosmonaut metro station to the airport costs around 20-30 000 uzs (that's 2-3 Euros). -The guy at the check-in counter of air uzbekistan was very friendly. There was no queue I was there 2.5 hours before my flight. My friend queued over an hour at Turkish Airlines on another day. -The passport control was quite slow but there was very few queue when I arrived. At some point it speeded up a bit -The security control was hectic and disorganised. Lighters are prohibited. -The airport is clean and modern. There was sufficient seating space when I got there -No soap in the toilets

I liked it. Easy exit and immigration procedure. You find sim counter there and the rate is not much different than local market. So u can purchase from airport. Only thing which is important u must have Uzbek currency to buy. Even they don't accept dollar. However if u have dollars u need to convert them, for which there is one option on airport itself. But I will not recommend as there is language barrier and u may find difficult to communicate. So easy way is take Uzbek cash from ur country.

A major improvement vs old temrinal, especially for arrivals - fast and efficient. Departures is still a mixed bag - chekin and controls are fast, but boarding is quite chaotic with very little guidance. The main area is still a bit basic with very few options for food & drinks, business lounge does not work with airlines, you need to pay additionaly even if flying business class. Overall you should try not to come to early as there is not much to do in the airport.

It wasnโ€™t hard to navigate the airport. Once the airport bus brings you to the large hall, you will immediately see where the SIMs are being sold and itโ€™s in the same area as the baggage carousel so you can do everything simultaneously, including exchanging money.

Airport is small and the security clearance and immigration process are quick and efficient. There is a business lounge after passport control (entry is USD 33 per person and they don't accept priority pass &/or American express cards) which seemed pretty basic. There is a small duty free area and a small cafe stocked with basic fare. The seating area is relatively small and the announcements are TOO loud! We had to scan our luggage twice. The personnel throughout the airport were helpful & polite.

Good Check in and security but the people in the coffee shop are to lazy to clean dishes and don't sell to-go - so no coffee in the morning for customers. The employees drink in front of you... Last year it was an honest airport, not so modern, but it worked well. Now it looks modern, but doesn't work. Really sad is, that the local terminal is working fine, only international tourists have to suffer.

As an Uzbek I can't say that it's one the best airports ever. But it's quite comfortable. One of the best privileges of it is its size. You can find anywhere you want in a couple of minutes. Not overcrowded.๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

Nobody is wearing a damn mask. Not even aboard a plane! Staff knows not a single word of English. Claiming baggage upon arriving at 2 a.m. took almost 2 hours. If you are a foreigner, it will take less time to leave the country since the regulations are barely existing.

Not an airport of international standards, especially for a country as Uzbekistan. Shopping choices null.

I recently had a layover at the Tashkent International Airport's departure terminal, and I must say, I was pleasantly surprised by the experience. The terminal is exceptionally well-maintained, with a clean and organized atmosphere that made navigating through it a breeze. The shopping experience was a highlight for me. There's a great variety of stores offering everything from essentials to luxury goods. I particularly enjoyed the opportunity to buy Kazakhstani souvenirs and sweets at duty-free prices - a perfect last-minute gift idea for friends and family. Food options at the airport are varied and cater to different tastes. Whether you're in the mood for a quick snack or a sit-down meal, you'll find several cafes and restaurants to choose from. I grabbed a coffee and a bite at one of the cafes, and it was delightful. What stood out the most, however, was the friendliness of the staff. Everyone I interacted with was helpful and courteous, making the entire experience stress-free. The procedures, from check-in to boarding, were streamlined and efficient, which is always appreciated when you're traveling. Overall, my time at Tashkent International Airport was enjoyable and hassle-free. It's a great gateway that provides a positive and welcoming impression for travelers. Highly recommended for anyone passing through!

I travelled last year in November and thanks to one flight company ..., due to weather condition we landed in Tashkent instead of Dushanbe. I will not explain in details how much we suffered for 19 hours in waiting for our plane to Dushanbe as aircraft team "Simply" left us there, but I would like to say how nice was the team of airport with all of us. They provided food for all passengers, water and rest room for kids. I would like to express my gratitude to all airport staff for their kindness and support. P.S Sorry to airport staff if some of us were a bit rough due to problems we all faced with flight delay.

Pretty quick and efficient through arrivals. Departures are also straightforward. The shop in the departure lounge is probably the most expensive shop in the whole of Uzbekistan. 330ml bottle of water $3, 11 times what I paid anywhere else.

Small, super crowded airport with unorganised check in. Absolutely no distance between the counter and a queue. If you are an Uzbekistan citizen you need to get an immigration check, in a separate counter, before approaching to check-in counter.
