Had a drink at The Peak bar and I am amazed by the huge options of beer offering by the Peak <3!! You can find more than 50 different varieties of beer here in the bar, almost any country's beer you are craving for. If you are travelling to taunggyi, this is the place to stay for, don't think twice, cuz you can't find a second hotel with this beautiful atmosphere. A friendly reminder : Don't forget to grab a drink at The Peak!!

Both buildings of this hotel have been renovated recently and the rooms look much better. I stayed in a reasonably priced superior room in the left side of the hotel. The price I paid was actually much lower than the price advertised on Google which might have been for deluxe rooms. People interested in exotic beers can even drink Belgian Leffe beer in their bar located in a beautiful garden. Breakfast is unimpressive and disappointing.

Had a pleasant stay at the Taunggyi Hotel. Rooms were recently renovated and clean. It was heated as well in the winter weather. The staff were friendly plus the hotel as huge lawn for morning walks and great location.

Ended up staying in this hotel on my way back from Eastern Shan State road trip. The hotel has such a large compound which no hotels in the city can compare with. With lots of big green trees, the compound feels so clean and quite. The rooms are better than what I expected. Not the best but completely worth it for it's rate. I am definitely going there again for my next trip.

It’s an old government owned hotel which has seen it’s day. But it’s located in a highly secured residential area not far from the busy market area. Amenities are limited, came with breakfast which was decent, I love the garden and the outdoor cafe/bar, not a lot happening but very tranquil, views of the hills are lovely. The staff are super friendly and attentive (not a lot of guests) they certainly try to do the best despite limitations.

Seriously the best hotel in Taunggyi... I've stayed in several hotels in Taunggyi and most of them are not worth the price. But this Taunggyi Hotel won my loyalty with their ever smiling helpful staffs, spacious and authentically classic rooms, the big garden with a lot of greens and shades, nice decent breakfast. I love every single thing about Taunggyi. I've always stay there and will stay with them every I goto Taunggyi.
