Lakes of Taylor Golf Course

Wedding venue Golf course

👍👍 Love playing at Lakes of Taylor! The course is challenging and long and definitely the best municipal course in the downriver area. There’s a driving range, a practice chipping and putting area, a convenient snack stop on the the turn, and the beautiful 17th hole par 3 with the island-ish green! Mak... People often mention great, beautiful, golf, good, play,

I have golfed this course many times with a group of friends. The course is very popular and can back up quite a bit at the first tee sometimes, but it's worth the wait if you have the patience. The course is very well-maintained and the greens are manicured. It's a very challenging course, so be prepared to maybe lose some golf balls. We frequently find the food service to be subpar at the turn, because they usually run out of everything and don't make more. But we don't go there for the food, so I will only rate them on the golf experience.

These guys screwed up our tee time and made us a reservation for the wrong day...not the end of the world. But then after realizing their mistake they did absolutely 0 to make things right. They didn't even offer to check with their sister course if they could get us on that morning after realizing they were fully booked with group outings for the day. We called ourselves and made a tee time there. However after paying $47 for a late, terribly cared for flooded course with concrete sand traps and drainage issues everywhere and torn up culvers next to multiple greens...we will never be back. Terrible.

Great experience. Friendly clubhouse staff. Starter too. We arrived early and he fit us in when another group was late. Course is in amazing condition from tees to greens. Greens were receptive, fast and ran true. Top notch electric carts with rain canopies. Good pace. Finished in less than 4 hours. We come from Canada specifically for this course. See you next Thursday!

One of my favorite courses but the course is not looking too good right now. The turf is a mess. Dead and dry grass on a lot of the holes. The course was soaked and mushy even without much rain in the past couple days. The cart paths are all falling apart and poorly maintained.

First time here this year and it was an absolute riot, the condition of course was great and the course itself proved to be quite a challenge. Open spots so you don’t lose a lot of balls but it’s still a blast to play anytime

First time celebrating a venue there, it was extremely nice. I would highly recommend having any kind of gathering here. Food was great, service was good.

Played here many times in the past and the course was always great. However, tonight was very disappointing. I’ve never seen it in such bad shape…

Hands down, the best public golf course layout wise in all of downriver. The pro shop is great, practice facility is good and the course is always in the best shape. This is a pure championship golf course that is a great course to put your game to the test. Food and drinks are great. This course would get 5 stars but they probably have the worst pace of play of all downriver courses(even worse than Riverview). I had a situation on my birthday last year where the group in front of me was 5 holes behind and they did nothing to this group, making everyone else suffer and have a terrible experience. Lakes of Taylor should be a 5/5 if it wasn’t for their pace of play.

Played behind multiple 5-somes making for a brutally slow round, starter snapped at us to tee off earlier than our tee time while we were still warming up so we didn't hold up his buddies who were ready to tee off early (we heard them talking about it). Only getting two stars rather than one because the course design is decent. Conditions were just average even for the fall.

My husband and I had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Lakes of Taylor Golf Club on June 24, 2023. We were thrilled with how friendly and accommodating all of the staff was during our wedding day. Our guests couldn't stop talking about how the food was delicious and how they loved talking to our bartenders. The venue also accommodated some of our guest's dietary restrictions and our bar menu. We planned our event with Debbie. She was helpful and organized. She couldn't make it on our special day, so Nancy filled in during our rehearsal and wedding day. Nancy was also very helpful, accommodating, and kind. The ceremony space was beautiful! It included an arch with white flowers and greenery draped over it. Our only complaint was how hot the reception hall was. Some of the guests said they were comfortable with the temperature. It was a very hot and humid day outside. The building is a little bit older so it was difficult to regulate the temperature. Overall, the Lakes of Taylor Golf Club was the perfect venue for our wedding. Our package included two entrees at the buffet, a wedding cake, table linens, and bar. The price was perfect for everything included in our package. The location is close to the airport and great for having a ceremony/reception at the same venue. We couldn't be happier with our choice!

This is a beautiful course. It is very well maintained, especially for a public course. Nice challenging holes, but very playable. You will need to use the cart paths, but at least they are all paved. :) Be sure to check this place out and check out the club house.

Taylor's hidden gem. Excellent food at fair prices. Never a wait...you should frequent this restaurant so it don't close.

Only stopped here for the driving range, which was really nice. The course looked great though. I'll definitely make a trip here sometime
