In case you wanted to know what is at the end of a rainbow drop by this cafe for a meal. The pot of gold is magically delicious! The hot cocoa even hits differently, and they have scones! Scones! Do come prepared to wait or check in online. The hype was real about the place and it did not disappoint.

First time eating here and not the last. Taste Home cooked with reasonable pricing. Our server was prompt and very receptive. The food was delicious. Telastes very authentic.

I got to Penny Ann’s Cafe around 8:30am and was quickly seated. It had a nice welcome home feel to it, my waiter quickly took my order of the Big Breakfast, folks if your looking to fill up The Big Breakfast is the way to go with bacon, ham, sausage, eggs and house potatoes and 2 heavenly hotcakes. ( I topped them of with their boysenberry and maple syrup). The coffee was good and hot. Probably if I had to pick something that was underwhelming was the house potatoes were just to plain. Overall a nice cafe to come and get filled up with the tried and true breakfast. I will have to try other items soon.

First off this place is busy! Everytime I've been there is a 20 or so minute wait unless you want to sit at the counter. Because it's so busy even after you order there's going to be a 30 minute wait or so but it's worth it. Not only is the food good but the prices are low for the protein sizes. The biscuits and gravy are some of the best I've eaten and the corned beef hash was just right. The also have an amazing Chile Verde. I highly recommend eating here.

Oh my! What a place, great food and service. We visited based on a recommendation from a friend. We were not disappointed. Huge hot cakes and eggs cooked perfectly. We will be visiting again.

Please follow us on Facebook and Instagram at SNDTRAVELS and EATWELLTRAVELOFTEN 2.27.23 Stopped in for lunch and had breakfast. Very good menu choices giving you quite the variety. I had Pac Benedict, Two poached egg*, bacon, ham and grilled tomatoes nestled on top of a croissant and topped with hollandaise sauce and served with home fried potatoes. I like eggs Benedict but never on a croissant. This worked out well. I enjoyed the difference in a soft bread with a nice buttery taste. I didn't feel the tomatoes really added to the meal but they were ok. The bacon was good quality and was cooked perfect. The potatoes I received were stale but they offered to replace them immediately and apologized. Service was friendly and thorough. Overall, recommended, thumbs-up 👍

You need to go here if ya haven’t!! The best breakfast in town. I love the breakfast burger — loaded with lots of bacon, an egg + comes with a side of fries. My wife gets the breakfast nachos — house made tortilla chips with two eggs, chile verde, cheese, sour cream and salsa. And make sure to get a side of their fluffy heavenly hot cakes. THANK ME LATER.

We had a great Sunday breakfast experience. They were busy, but the wait staff were still friendly and attentive. Large portions and great tasting food.

Overall, my order was wrong and the service was slow. We were seated and had decided on what we wanted to eat. Our waitress never came around to our table and we had to flag her down, which took about 20 minutes. I get that they might be understaffed, but there was no explanation or apology for the delay. I ordered a Chile Verde omelet with no jalapeños. The omelet I got was missing the Chile Verde and the pork. I gave it a chance thinking maybe it was inside the omelet, but there was just tons of tomato, onion, and cheese. By the time our waitress came back around to check on us (another 20 minutes), my party was already done eating and I didn’t want to wait longer for chili verde and pork. Pretty disappointed since I’ve had better food and service at Penny Ann’s before.

This is a long-standing family-owned cafés in Salt Lake City! Their main location is within Salt Lake area, but we always come here for the bigger space. We have had brunch here for a couple of times now, and each time we left full and happy! They have delicious fluffy hot cakes (pancakes) and you can’t go wrong with the Pot of Gold or the Big Breakfast. They have two types of syrups, either maple-ish or berry-ish. Their food is always so so good, and the portion is big (me and my sister had to split one dish). We also recommend the Garden Skillet or the Chicken Cordon Bleu. Everything came out freshly made, and our servers were friendly. They have spacious interior and good waiting area. I also like their decorations. Parking is really easy, but make sure you get on their waiting list early online since it will be packed every weekend!

I've eaten here a few times, I've enjoyed it each time and the service is always friendly. There's been a wait each time I've been; I recommend getting on their wait list if you can, or check the wait time before you go. The food takes a bit to come out, but it's hot, fresh, the portions are huge and worth the wait.

Ordered the Bacon & Mushroom Omelette and the Breakfast Bowl. Surprisingly good despite the look of it. The pancakes were good too. Coffee and Arnold Palmer weren't the greatest though. Solid local spot with hefty portions and good tasting food.

Long wait but worth it the food was fantastic, bring your appetite , the portions are big. Looks like a local favorite it was busy the entire time we were there. If you know you want to go there I would suggest putting yourself on the wait list through yelp, it will cut down on your wait time. I had the Spanish omelet, it comes with home fries and another side so I ordered pancakes. They were really good but again large portion and I could not eat all of it. My husband ordered “The ultimate biscuits and gravy”, since his plate was empty I’m going to assume he loved it :) Would definitely recommend and I hope to go back before our vacation in Utah is over.

Holy SCONE‼️ This freshly fried scone was very tasty 😋 came with some delicious honey butter and syrup to soak up the bites. Definitely worth trying if you like scones. Their breakfast was decent. Really wish they offered and served up classic hashbrowns versus their breakfast potatoes. Those potatoes were meh.. Scone was my highlight!

Penny Ann's is one of our favorite places for breakfast but don't miss out on their lunch, as well! Their prices are great, portions large and I love you can get a side salad with your sandwiches instead of fries. Their BLT is my favorite usually but I got the corned beef sandwich and it was amazing and I can't wait to go back to get it again!

Me and my mom and uncle each got the small breakfast and it came out very nice. Hash browns were just right. The eggs and pancakes were good too. Very good breakfast!

We went when they were getting close to closing. We of course, tried the pancakes! I will give them credit… they were HUGE and after getting tiny, cold pancakes ( other pancake places…not here!) that was a relief! They had lots of flavors of syrups! Fun environment! I’m not goin to lie though… something about the texture and Taste of the pancakes was “off” I’d try again though!

We went to this place for brunch and it was packed! The waitlist was over 45 mins for two people but we decided to wait. Had we known they have a yelp waitlist option we would have done that before we arrived. Make sure to check the wait times in yelp and add yourselves to the waitlist if possible. The food was delicious, fresh, flavorful, and simply delightful. The waitress was very nice, attentive, and approachable. Probably one of the best waitresses I’ve ever encountered. We were pleasantly surprised with her work and just how friendly she was. I would recommend this place in a heartbeat. The PAC Benedict was 10/10! So delicious!

The food was delicious as always! I got some of their delicious hot cakes, along with bacon and potatoes. These are probably the best pancakes I’ve ever had, no joke! My husband had an omelette, and it was packed with 3 different meats! Even though it was summer, we both had hot chocolate because it’s so yummy!

So this tall young lady (with Easter egg colored hair and glass spectacles came in with her dog. The hostess did not seat them and went to get someone else to decide, the woman throws a child fit fake crying and another employee allows them and their dog inside and seats them next to me. I don't think dogs belong in restaurants, ok service animal yes, but don't tell me this was a service animal. Ruined my appetite, I won't go there again, solely because of this.
