Quaint, pretty little town perched on a hillside as most towns in the central hilly region of Gran Canaria are. There is a nice little medicinal plants museum in town, worth a visit for plant freaks. Entrance 2€. Cafes and restaurants seem to close by 6 pm. Found only 1 restaurant open at 6pm, but they did not serve dinner until 7pm. Parking seems free all over the town. Beware of super narrow steep roads. The town is laid out on multiple heights.

Tejeda is a beautiful town located in the mountains of Gran Canaria, Spain. It is known for its whitewashed houses, charming atmosphere, and unique environment. The town is also home to a local museum and several cafés that sell delicious almond sweets. Is a great place to visit for a relaxing getaway. There are plenty of things to see and do in the town, and the surrounding area is also very scenic. If you're looking for a place to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life, Tejeda is the perfect destination.

Nice improvements made to roam the little town by feet. If you like almonds and backery a must.

Fantastic views. The home of Almond cake. Only stayed for a short while on a day excursion, would have liked to stay longer.

Certainly one of Spain's most attractive villages, whether you come for a stroll, some more serious walking, or just to enjoy the food and views. If you're interested in history, head down to Paco's museum for an enthusiastic account of local life in the last century.

WARNING: almost all restaurants are closed on Thursday! Beside this: A beautiful place in the mountains of gran canaria. Make sure to taste almond products in the small bakeries and enjoy the sunset.

MUST SEE Picturesque village with breathtaking views of nature and mountains. One of the most beautiful towns in all of Spain. Be ready to drive in curvy roads and be blown away by the journey. It is totally worth it. Parking is scarce yet very walkable roads, not very accessible for handicapped; but our friends had a stroller with a 3 year old and they managed ok. It’s a perfect town to come in the early afternoon, have lunch and then find a spot to watch the sunset. Be sure to grab a pastry at “Dulcera Nublo” which specializes in local delicacies. Absolutely memorable experience.

Very picturesque, almost Austrian looking. Plenty of places to eat. Free car park though it can get busy. There is an outdoor market on the first Sunday of the month but it isn't worth going just for that. Bring a mask as they like people to wear them even outdoors.

It is one of the most beautiful "plueblos" in Spain, and deserves the title. The village is characteristic and has a unique panorama.Well-kept and constantly evolving, it offers restaurants, bars, and a municipal swimming pool that will leave you speechless! The visit is completely worth it!

It reminds me of Como lake, Switzerland, clean, great arhitecture, tradition. Places never to forget. How come in such a small island to find such special places? I understand when people decide not to leave it anymore 😊.
