Never been to a more incompetent hospital. Have a horrible case of covid and know there isn’t much they can do, so I tried calling to ask for some advice or to see if in fact there was something they could do to make me feel better. Some guy name Xavier kept sending me to a voice recording with no extensions, then hung up on me when i asked to not be sent to a recording. They didn’t wanna help me, they wanted me to go to the ER so they could get a couple extra $$. So I felt so sick I finally went to the ER and one of the nurses I had was very pleasant and helpful and the other was very rude. Kept arguing with me, giggling at my pain. Made me wait in the room for 30 mins while she typed one prescription. I was hoping for some fluids or a painkiller and got nothing. NOTHING. If someone could have just answered my phone call and talked to me for 3 minutes I wouldn’t be out $1000 for laying in their bed for 45 mins. Also heard from some friends that they do not properly treat patients that aren’t vaccinated. This hospital is using covid to make money. They do not care about you at all

We have used this hospital before and have never had a complaint until our last admission. First, the NURSING staff gets a FIVE STAR...caring, responsive, and understanding, this goes for Dr. Lee as well. Dr. Kardan on the other hand should go back to school and learn bedside manner. He is rude and obtuse not only to the patient but to the family as well. Then there's Sue (don't exactly know what her title is) that treated us like a 5 year old and basically "scolded" us for not understanding her way of doing things. Shame on these people. We have been treated better at a busy McDonald's at lunch time with a brand new worker who just broke up with her boyfriend. Unfortunately this is the only hospital in Teller County. Perhaps the next time we find the need to utilize this facility Dr. Kardan will have moved to veterinary medicine (and I wouldn't take my dog to him either), and Sue will be working at a McDonald's, where rudeness is more commonplace, so we don't have to experience their callousness. As with any larger corporation the insensitive form reply response will be ignored.

Friday October 14th, I had gone into the ER. Had fallen landed on my arm. As I was being cared for by male nurse and Dr. They were wonderful. On other hand female nurses were sitting at desk making fun of fact I'm allergic to Tylenol, ibuprofen and other over counter pain relievers. Very limited as to what can take for pain. Those nurse's have no right treating anyone. No compassion. I not once asked for anything for pain except ice. My doctor assumed I had pain meds looking at out dated chart. It's OK I didn't go for meds just wanted to make sure arm wasn't broke.

Unfortunately nothing but terrible experiences here. I'm not giving details but the ER Dr was extremely rude and disrespectful on the other hand the nurses were wonderful. I try my very best to avoid this hospital every chance I can. Zero stars if I there was an option.

My husband frequently is admitted into big city, big name hospitals. We were in the Pikes Peak area and he needed medical care Sunday night of Thanksgiving weekend. I am a nurse by profession. We were impressed with the whole facility. Your ER worked like a team to stabilize my husband. We received the highest standard of care with compassion in the ER. Then my husband spent five days on your floor. The doctors are very thorough. The nurses were very compassionate and professional. The housekeeping and dietary staff were great. Even the meals were fine, for my husband as a patient and for me as a guest. Thank you for caring for my husband so well.

UPDATE! 2 YEARS LATER. MY 5-6CM FIBROID IS NOW 10CM! I AM HAVING SURGERY TO REMOVE! PATHETIC! Went here for an ultrasound in May 2021. Used my CICP card and paid my co pay. It is November and I am still dealing with it reaching collections?! I have faxed, emailed and made at least 5 phonecalls to avoid it going to collections, still made it to collections. The male Dr took 2 weeks to call me about my ultrasound and then acted like my 3 inch fibroids were nothing. I will never use this pathetic medical facility again. Medical in America is a joke. Do not write a response to this, I'm aware you do not care.

I was at the hospital today for a CT scan with contrast. McKenzie and Sarah were the Technologists who handled the procedure. They were so personable professional in every facet of the job. They made me feel right at home being there again (I was at the facility last week for an abdominal ultrasound). As I think about it, all of my experiences at Pike's Peak Regional have been positive. Without exception, the personnel there are warm and endearing. While going to a medical facility isn't my idea of a fun way to spend an hour or two, I can't think of a better place to go for tests.

My doctor sent a Referral to them for what could very easily be cancer. That was in Dec 2021. It's now April 2022. I still can't get anyone to even return my numerous voicemails I have left to schedule an appointment. I wouldn't take my hamster here for care. Because clearly, they do not care at all.

I was seen by Dr. L. H. on Monday March 10, 2023. I went to the ED because a UC Health provider told me I needed a chest xray to be evaluated for pneumonia. Several times during my interaction with Dr. L. H. I mentioned my baby and I asked questions to make sure I did not have something I could pass on to the baby. I point this out because it was obvious through our conversations that I had a baby. However, Dr. L. H. sent me away with prescriptions, to include a cough medicine with codeine, and he never asked if I was breastfeeding or even talked to me about the dangers of codeine. The bottle from the pharmacist very clearly states "NO BREASTFEEDING" and CAUTION: OPIOD. He collectively spent about 20 seconds telling about the medicines he was prescribing. I would rather that Dr. L. H. send me away with 0 medications, than to prescribe medications and not even discuss serious precautions with me. Dr. L. H. should have asked several questions before prescribing an opiod, to include- at a minimum: 1- are you pregnant? 2- Breastfeeding? ** FROM THE FDA WEBSITE: FDA Drug Safety Communication: FDA restricts use of prescription codeine pain and cough medicines and tramadol pain medicines in children; recommends against use in breastfeeding women.

The receptionist at the front desk is super rude. If you don’t like your job maybe you shouldn’t work there. Terrible person to “welcome” you to the hospital when you don’t feel good. Nurses and drs were nice though.

I am very grateful for this hospital to be where it’s at, the services it provides, and the personnel that works there. Last night I went in for excruciating pain in my abdomen. It ended up being appendicitis in which the on call nurse Heather and Dr. Trotter (along with the rest of their team) were quick to diagnose and manage my pain efficiently. When my pain was down significantly, they gave me all of the information needed to make a solid/safe decision as to how I could get down to a hospital in the Springs for the appendectomy. Thank you!

Apparently the lowest rating allowed is 1 star. It shd be less. My husband waited 3 hours & still has not been seen in the ER. I asked for O2 because his had run out. I was told by the clerk he would check on it & get back to me. I went home, brought back more oxygen & haven't heard from the clerk yet. I wldn't hire these people for fast food service.

I feel really bad for leaving such a poor review, but it's definitely necessary. The nurses and techs were great with me but the doctor was not. The tech who did my X-ray said there was a problem. The doctor proceeded to review the X-rays and say there was no dislocation in the area when even I can see there clearly is. Not only that he gave me a medication with similar side effects to one I must take daily. I had to ask to get excused from an extra day of work to ensure the side effects wouldn't cause me harm during work. I am glad I did because I definitely should not have returned to work today. I now have scheduled an appointment with my GP in hopes that I can get referred to a chiropractor as I should have been by the ER doctor. I am very frustrated overall because until I see my GP my employer has no reason to believe me over a doctor. I shouldn't have to share my X-rays with them to prove my point but at this rate I am concerned it may end up being necessary due to negligence. Because I really don't want to lose my job

I would leave 0 stars if I were able. While it is wonderful having a hospital in the area, I don't think I have ever had so many bad experiences with any other health care facility. I don't even know where to start. Some nurses are just plain rude. They refuse to do x-rays any chance they get, I have now had two children in their ER who they declined to further evaluate or do x-rays on. Two confirmed broken bones later at Childrens hospital after being sent home. They leave people to sit for hours on end in the emergency room with no updates or answers even after promising updates within a certain amount of time. They do not care at all about things going on in a patients or families life outside of their hospital, they make zero considerations for weather or other children at home, and simply say there is nothing they can do. They improperly bill medicaid patients. They keep outdated medication and other medical records and treat them as if they are current even after being told they are not. They try to defer any person they are able to outside hospitals, or simply refuse care. I will be avoiding this hospital at all costs from now on, what a shame I would rather drive an extra hour in an emergency than come here again.

Outstandingly great hospital. My wife, my youngest son, and I have been here many times for various services. We have never had a problem in numerous visits for sleep studies, outpatient surgery, emergency room visits, lab work, and so much more. Every medical provider we've met with has been compassionate, great listening skills, and quick to handle each reason we've been here. And to make this even better, this hospital is less than 15 minutes from my house in the mountains above Woodland Park. I won't go into all the reasons we've been here, but each and every time has been an excellent experience. Even in the emergency room. Fast, efficient, great service, including from the doctors on call. I will relate that my wife has had two different types of overnight sleep studies here, and both times, the sleep room was comfortable (I stayed in the room with her on a fully reclining recliner the first time!) and the sleep study technician was very personable and enjoyable to talk to. Even though she did not have to, she even made sure I was comfortable the first night I stayed overnight with my wife during her study. For anyone who wants to question my experience here, just look on Yelp as to how many times we've checked in here... I've lost count! And I only check in on Yelp about half of the times I'm here!

Brought my daughter to the ER because her finger was cut open. The admin, nurses and doctor were all amazing in helping us get her finger bandaged and comfortable. They made the choice of having us take the ambulance to the surgeon at the children’s hospital. Very happy with how everyone treated us and how much they cared. They did a great job and I’m so thankful for the staff! We needed them and they took care of us very thankful.

The pre-and post op staff, as well as the doctors, were highly professional, extremely kind, excellent in disease prevention and medical care, full of camaraderie, and saw me as a person. Felt like I got the best of local care.

This hospital has improved greatly. The staff is top notch. It’s a great blend of care and hometown. Robin is the only nurses name I learned. Great bunch of nurses.

My sister went with her 2 day old baby last friday to the ER due to low oxygen levels on said baby. AND THEY REFUSED TO EVEN CHECK BABYS VITALS! Refused to evaluate her, refused to check a 2 DAY OLD BABY who had spo2 of 84% at the fire department in florissant. She called uc health in springs and said that er in woodland could help her. They refused. If I could give a zero star I would. Awful.

Thank you to the Doctor, nurse, EMT and staff at UCHealth. Not only did they help me with a solution to my sickness but they did so with kindness and also gave me peace of mind so I was able to sleep for the first night in days. I appreciate you all!

😠 Was told i could not get a routine checkup with a new doc without a n office visit first. Office visits are not preventative care so stuck with a $286 bill for 7mins of doctor time.... basically an introduction, where now they will give me an order for a metabolic panel on Labs.
