I used to love this place dearly when it was newly opened. Coming back after 2 years, the pastel de nata are not as good as they were before. The dough is not cripsy, the cakes aren't partially "burnt" for a caramelized flavor. The price is really high now considering that the natas are also smaller than before (2,1€ or 2,6€/piece). The cake of the day was quite flavorless. Everything else was still great, with friendly owner and amazing drinks. But the main reason we came back to Pastel is unfortunately no longer there.

Absolute MUST-GO-AND-ENJOY recommendation in the west of Leipzig! Every day fresh and lovingly homemade cakes, cookies and of course pastel de natas, with a large selection of delicious hot drinks. Der Kuchen ist selbstgebacken und superlecker. Da können so ziemlich alle Leipziger Cafés und Bäcker einpacken. Man wird superbett bedient. Es geht sehr familiär zu.
