    I trained with Derek for almost 2 years at Tytin Fitness and achieved significant results, not only physically but mentally. I worked with Derek in both a one-on-one and group setting. Derek is the kind of trainer that won't shy away from challenging you mentally, telling it straight, and letting you know when you could be working harder. If you're afraid of hearing the truth, don't train with Derek; he is always authentic and honest in his advice. Derek instilled a confidence in me during our training, especially focusing on consistency, form, and mindset. If your brain is your biggest road block, I recommend you hire Derek. He is a dedicated mentor, but also a friend. He is a pillar of strength and has helped me overcome many obstacles. It was a privilege to learn from such a knowledgeable, passionate and caring trainer and I highly recommend his services.

    I can not emphasize how deserving my 5-star review is for Tytin Fitness. Although Ty Mealey is a driver and core component, Tytin and AZAW have curated a custom and holistic approach to my fitness and overall health. The attending Dr, on-site (Dr. Ashley M), Massage (Trü Body), Barber, and team of qualified/accredited trainers have built an inclusive and welcoming community. I started at Tytin Fitness in July of 2020, mid pandemic, I was frustrated with my body, disgusted with my appearance, exhibiting signs of someone who wasn’t optimizing on healthy lifestyle choices. Over the 11 months, I worked with Derek and built a foundational understanding for my fitness goals, Although I had moved from 36% body fat to 27%, I was not seeing the shift in my physical appearance. And where patience is key in training, results and validation are also core elements of my motivation. Ty, the owner of Tytin has always been engaging and charismatic leveraging every opportunity to reach out to the clients and members of his gym. He is the embodiment of a true business owner and takes responsibility for everything that happens within the brands of his business. In July 2021, Ty and I connected, he listened to my frustrations and discouragement. I like Tytin Gym (and the brands within) and working out, but was personally struggling with my appearance and confidence. From that conversation, came a consultation and workout with Ty, and from that Ty and I were able to realign my fitness goals with an adapted plan that would not only continue the internal growth and strength training but also help me achieve my focus and aesthetic goals. We met with and leveraged, on site Dr. Ashley Milhizer (Arizona Aesthetics & Wellness) to recalibrate/balance my hormone levels. Rather than blindly offering supplements -- Ty and Dr Ashley reviewed my blood work and built a custom plan around my needs and goals. Helping me to establish a plan that didn’t just center on fitness, but nutrition, exercise, internal health, and well-being. Where I’m not where I’d like to be yet with my fitness goals, I can say without a doubt Tytin fitness is the best in the business. He took the time to understand my needs and met me where I was at, he continues to challenge me physically and is exceptional with communication and follow-up to keep me motivated. He’s patient and responsive with every question, thought, and idea on my goals and fitness. Mo (his wife and also a trainer), Eric, and Ty combined offer decades of experience in training, competitions, and personal training and are all always open to course-correcting and helping pivot where needed to maximize my workouts. Over the past 2.5 months, I have piled on skeletal muscle (7.1lbs), dropped 15 lbs in weight, and seen a decrease in my body fat. From my starting point of 36% Body Fat to 17.6%. If you’re looking for a holistic, results-driven group, proven method/approach to personal training, look no further. Tytin Fitness is the solution.

    Started with Derek a little over a year ago. Recently transitioned to group sessions 3 times a week. I can’t say enough of how much Derek has changed my life and view on fitness. He is so knowledgeable and driven to help you be the best version of yourself. His person centered group classes are modified based on your needs and goals. Every week Derek challenges us with different movements and routines. His passion is motivating and he’s always encouraging and helps you maintain accountability. I can’t thank him enough for everything he’s done and taught me. If you are just starting out or have been working out for years I highly recommend my boy Derek. Regardless of your fitness level Derek will challenge you. Thanks for everything Derek I look forward to many more amazing workouts with you.

    If you are looking for a fitness trainer that is knowledgeable, personable, patient and professional, you have come to the right person with Derek Arellano.  2017 I turned 50, and there it was - middle age! I had never been athletic, yes I did the normal gym routine, jogged around the block, but certainly wasn't hitting my full potential.  One day while surfing the Internet I came across a before and after photo, it was through that post I was connected to Derek and Arizona Aesthetics & Wellness/Tytin Fitness.  I was impressed with our initial conversation, and decided to work out with Derek weekly. This paid off in a big way. I lost 30 pounds, and feel so much better about myself. Derek is the ideal blend between encouraging and challenging. He makes fitness fun for all, yet pushes you towards your limits. He keeps it interesting by introducing new exercises at every session.  He communicates well and will demonstrate anything you don’t understand.  It is equally important to know that he keeps up the latest fitness trends and health issues, too. In addition, he has given me some excellent advice on diet and nutrition.     If you are looking for an incredible trainer, that is truly knowledgeable and will take the time to listen to your individual concerns and goals...I believe Derek Arellano at Tytin Fitness is exactly that. He keeps you accountable while simultaneously tweaking his sessions to each individual client to ensure that each person is realistically hitting their goals. KEY WORD realistically! He will shoot you straight, and help you understand the work that goes into hitting said goals, knowing what is do-able and finds out which elements to focus on the most for each person. Whether that’s diet, cardio, heavy lifting, or just ensuring your body is there to do the things we need it to do in our regular everyday life. I love my training sessions with Derek because he always focuses on doing the workouts and movements CORRECTLY. He will never allow me to slack or get lazy with movements because he understands the detriment incorrect movements causes the body & muscles. A workout isn’t worth doing if not done correctly, because no real results will come from it. And you can see, Derek’s client results speak for themselves! Very thankful to train with someone knowledgeable, attentive and just plain all around good guy.

    Derek has been my personal trainer for well over a year. His expertise and approach is unlike any trainer I’ve ever worked with. He listened to my goals and created a nutrition and workout plan that helps keep me athletic and prepared for running events. His approach is no nonsense, science based, and is customized to my exact body and capabilities. I have experienced incredible results including significant weigh loss, body recomposition, and increased muscularity. I love what I see when I look in the mirror thanks to Derek and Tytin Fitness. It has been a complete mind, body, and spirit overhaul. Highly recommended.

    I go here 3 times a week to train with Derek and every workout is amazing and we'll thought out. I just started with Derek but I can tell already I picked the right trainer. He is going to help me exceed my fitness goals carefully and safely. I'm in good hands.

    I started with Tytin in January and started training for my first bikini competition. I am vegan so I hadn't had good luck finding a trainer willing to work with me. The trainers at Tytin not only have extensive knowledge in nutrition, fitness plans, and training athletes (and athletes with dietary restrictions) but they make transitioning into a healthy lifestyle easy! All of them are extremely supportive and genuinely care about their athletes and clients. They constantly check in on your progress, make sure you feel comfortable with everything every step of the way, and most importantly make you feel apart of an awesome (and non-intimidating) fitness community!

    I can't say enough about how positive my experience has been here. You could not find a greater group of people who care about you and your fitness goals. Everyone is friendly, welcoming, and rooting for your success. I have been client of Derek Arellano @dinosmash, a trainer there, for about six months. Never have I had a greater fitness mentor and advocate for attaining my goals. He is knowledgeable about every exercise and explains the proper technique why doing something this or that way makes a difference. He coaches and designs diets for me to get results. I had been working out and dieting for a long time prior to coming to Tytin Fitness to learn ultimately that I was doing most everything wrong. Derek has changed all that for me and it has translated into results I can see. My choice to come to Tytin Fitness was one of the best ones made on my fitness journey.

🫤 The employees were fine but be careful at this location. There are organized folks here breaking into lockers and stealing everything valuable. They even immediately used my credit card to purchase things online. Just be wary.
