I was in Tampa visiting my dad at the hospital, I called the hotel to advise I would check in late. The person on the phone was so nice and professional, very understanding. I finally arrived to the hotel that evening, exhausted, worried and sad for my father. Diamond, the lady at the reception was waiting for me with everything ready. She happened to be the same person I spoke to earlier. She was really comforting, understanding, caring and a good listener. The room was super clean and tidy. The best part, absolutely no noise in the hallways! Thank you Diamond for making my stay so much better. Going back there this weekend hopefully to hear better news.

To be honest it wasn’t what we were expecting, the room was smelling like cigarette and supposedly “smoking isn’t allowed in the hotel”. We were 4 and when we made the reservation we stated that we were four and we just had 3 towels during our stay. The only great thing that happened during our reservation was that we were allowed to make check in before 3pm since we had an event at 1pm and we needed to change. To be honest, we were really disappointed with this hotel. For reference, the room number is 504.

Checked in around 7pm. Young lady at desk hardly spoke to us. No welcome, no announcements, no mention of breakfast credit, didn't even tell us our room number. Horrible. Got up to our room, not often used areas were just dirty! Disgusting. Air conditioner in bedroom area not working. Too tired to deal with, was going to address in the morning. Went to take a shower. Caulking around the shower black with mold and an overall feeling of everything being dirty. Grabbed a towel to dry off- smelled straight up like vomit!!! I gag just remembering the smell. Horrible!!! Looked under the sinks in the cabinets for hair dryer - they were filthy dirty with dust, debris, and hair!!!! I tried to call down to the front desk several times for an hour to request new towels. My father needed to shower and use CLEAN towels for cancer surgery the next morning. No one ever answered. Walked down to the front desk several times for another hour. No one! Just a sign that said, "sorry for the inconvenience, I've stepped away to help another guest!" We never did get new towels. Next morning there was no hot water in the lobby to make hot drinks and we requested a DO NOT DISTURB for our room because of the cancer surgery. I also requested more towels to be hung on the door handle. When we returned early afternoon there were still no towels and 2 men in our room servicing the air condition units all dirty and with hoses snaking all around. We were so disgusted that we just gathered our stuff and checked out! We will never consider staying at this location. This Garden Inn gives the Hilton a double black eye. So disappointing!

The Room didn't feel clean. It had a musty smell. I saw a roach by the coffee maker. Beds were clean. Bathrooms had small moldy spits on the ceiling. The carpet and floors needed a deep clean. I guess the manager doesn't look at these things... it was just a place to sleep but I will not be staying here again.

This is a 2 star hotel at best. Look at the photos. Pretty far out of the way. Abysmal bar and small breakfast. The room we were given was a suite Room 610 and was full of mold on the shower head, mold on the window, damaged furniture, stained doors. This is a property to have frat parties at now stay a romantic weekend like I tried to do. I am SHOCKED this property wears the Hilton name. I cannot recommend this property to anyone. I even paid for a suite. I was beyond disappointed, embarrassed. Stay anywhere else unless you want somewhere to trash and party.

I will never stay at this hotel again! Got to our room after going to bush gardens with my husband toddler and my 5 month old got to the room it was nice but when I went to go give my toddler a bath nothing but scorching hot water luckily my son wasn’t standing in the tub at the time. Called front desk couldn’t switch room cause they were fully booked then the maintenance guy couldn’t fit it told us sorry that there was nothing they could do we would have to go the night without a shower and after being at bush gardens all day! Called around and all hotels around us were booked! Hilton hotel have gone down so much that we are never staying at another one again! We go up north very often and the Hilton hotels up there are amazing then you come here and they are horrible!!!!

This place was great. Stayed for four days for a work trip. Room was clean, service was great. The front staff was polite and courteous. The breakfast was decent as well. I'd be more than happy to stay there again.

I paid for the breakfast. I was told they would begin serving at 6:30 am. At 6:30 I was told that breakfast doesn't begin until later. I asked that I not be charged for breakfast. I was charged anyway. I called back. The front desk stated they would issue a refund for the breakfast that hasn't happened. I chose to stay at that specific Hilton location for the hot tub, restaurant, and bar. None of the 3 were open and or operational. There were tiny bugs around the coffee area and in the bathroom of my hotel room. I went downstairs for coffee around 5 am. I did not want to drink bug coffee. The coffee machine in the market was non-operational. There was no coffee set up for early risers. There was no caffeinated soda in the market area. There was no one at the front desk. Around 6 am I started to load my car. I dropped my key card outside and had to go back out and search the parking lot to find that card because there was no one at the front desk to assist me. So to recap. None of the amenities listed on the website were operational. There were bugs. There was no one at the front desk around 5 and 6 am. There was no coffee. There was no caffeine. I got charged for a meal I did not have. This was absolutely by far and away the worst experience I have ever had at a Hilton. If it wasn't for the $166 price tag I would have thought I was at a Motel 6. Actually, Motel 6 would have been better because they would have at least had coffee and someone manning the front desk.

This should be a 2 star hotel, better yet a motel! Front desk staff is rude. Was told breakfast ends at 11, came downstairs at 10:15to find it ended at 10. There are no fans in the bathroom, which might be the reason the room smells like mold and is moldy. The whole hotel smells like mold! No hot water, coffee machine in the room was broken. This is not the quality to be expected from a Hilton property.

Located just off the interstate, the hotel is clean throughout and the rooms are clean with comfortable beds and a stocked bathroom. Breakfast is good with hot and cold items at a reasonable price. Service is good. Staff is friendly and helpful. Plenty of free parking. Quiet area and quiet hotel.

The best part about our experience was the wonderful group of people working at the restaurant. They had the best service and delicious food. Unfortunately our room upon arrival had hair on the restroom wall leaving us to question how clean the room really was. We are grateful we had a place to stay during the hurricane so we let it go. We were waiting to see if the storm surge was going to affect us and after realizing we could get home we called the front desk. Though I understand this is a business, we requested a late check out and we were told we can't due to the time. He stated that if we had told them earlier there was a possibility we would be checking out today that he might have been able to accommodate. All I was thinking of was everyone I care about safety during the storm. This is also disappointing since on Monday I stayed at the Hyatt and they allowed me to check out at 7pm. Given the room conditions and their inability to accommodate the late check out we will look to another hotel for future evacuation needs.

The staff at the front desk were wonderful. Brandon was understanding, attentive, and kind. However, the quality of our stay was subpar. The hotel is not in the best condition. We had mediocre issues from the moment we checked in. During peak hours that guests would be using the water, we would have no issue with hot water but during the afternoon hours when people were not in their room or early morning hours when I was up washing pump parts and feeding my newborn, it would take anywhere between 9-17 minutes for the water to JUST get warm. The shower bar in the shower was lose from the wall. The AC unit in our room didn’t work and had to be swapped with the one across the hall. The toilet didn’t flush with any amount of toilet paper in it, they had to bring us a plunger that we had to use during the entire course of our stay. My daughter couldn’t use the pool or hot tub because they were just gross — debris all in the bottom of both. The pool chairs were rusted and falling apart. We ate breakfast everyday in their “full service restaurant” but they put out the same granola four days in a row. When I asked the “waitress” if there was any in the back, she simply told me no. The next day, there was new granola out like they magically received a shipment. Parking is a nightmare. The overall appearance of the hotel is cleanly and beautiful but it obviously has some outdated issues that the staff were well aware of. We likely will not stay here again.

I just want to know if the hotel staff sets the room alarm for 6am as a practical joke or if this is standard practice. Now, I'm wide awake, hours before wanting to wake up, bc the alarm went off 2xs and I had to finally unplug the thing. Also, if you like a fan AND a/c this isn't the place for you. Their a/c unit is so old, you either get a/c which very Loudly turns on and off every few minutes. OR you can have the fan consistently going which doesn't cool the room. Rough to sleep here for sure.

The room was not cleaned at any good standard. The tub and sink drains were clogged and very slow to drain. Everything was dusty. The microwave still had food crumbs in it. The AC worked well though. The breakfast process was super super confusing, but i do know it was not free. We had to take a seat to get served, but the service was a one star. Our waiter barely even said 2 words to us the entire time but it came off to us as if we were truly bothering him just being there. He got our order wrong the first try. The second try was better, but We were still missing my side of bacon and also our toast. He was so unfriendly that we chose to just not even mention it. I hope they are able to improve everything.

It was our first time traveling with our dog for Thanksgiving. We had a first floor room with easy access to the outside area for dog walks. The hotel was very clean, and the staff was very friendly. Breakfast was delicious and freshly made each day. The restaurant and lobby were very nice. I would highly recommend this hotel for families and pet owners.

Its been a while since staying at a hotel. Here once had to request to have their room Serviced every day. Is this something new? In the past years that was automatic staying at many hotel as I recall. Secondly, they need to have an extra Cook on stand by for an emergency the Cook was out Sick a we were told; one morning we had to have the Continental Breakfast instead of hot food this was very disappointing. Would not stay here again.

The only good thing about this stay was the worker at the front desk upon arrival. Everything else made this the worst Hilton stay I have ever experienced. The bathroom and shower was absolutely disgusting. There were long hairs in the shower and also all in the sheets. Luckily I had two blankets in the car, so I just used those. The faucet in the bath tub dripped if the room next to me had their shower going. One side of my lamp didn’t work and when I looked inside to check the light bulb, I couldn’t even be surprised that it was covered in a layer of dust. Aside from the room, the fitness room was closed and so was the laundry. So if you’re planning on using either of those features, stay elsewhere and get the full value of a hotel. Lastly, I couldn’t believe how rude the room service woman I encountered was. She was banging on my door at 8:30am on my check out date. I had not checked out and check out was at noon. When I told her I would be leaving around 9:30, it seemed like I was the biggest inconvenience. Later, as I was leaving, she barged onto the elevator as I was getting off knocking shoulders with me without even a “excuse me” or “sorry” so I apologized (not sure what for). As someone who travels often for work, I can easily say this was one of the nastiest hotel stays I’ve ever experienced and I will not be back.

Good location, with easy access to interstate. I checked in online. The lobby is spacious and has a small bar. The space on the room was nice with a separate area to sit, work and watch TV if desired. This hotel has been around a while and the rooms are a bit worn. Also, the cleanliness wasn’t the best. But The bed was very comfortable! Breakfast has buffet options or cooked to order options. The lady staffing the breakfast area was very friendly and helpful. When I left I notified staff that I was leaving so they could check me out; that never happened so I was prompted by the app to check out. When I received my folio the rate I was charged was different than what was booked. Jonah was super helpful in getting that taken care of!

We stayed here for 5 days while visiting family for Thanksgiving weekend. The young lady checking us in was amazing! Our room and entire facilities were clean and spotless. Service was great. The only issues we had was plambing, both bathroom sink and tub had a very bad draining and we did not like it. I didn't even bother asking to change the room because it was a busy holiday weekend. Overall, we loved the location and service. I'd definitely come back and recommend it to my family members. Please check room 517 for plumbing.

Our excellent experience started with the reservation process - I made a mistake on the Hilton website and got a reservation for the wrong date. The night clerk and the front desk clerk both helped me get it sorted it. Once we arrived, the check in process was fast and painless. The dinner we had in the hotel the first night was excellent. Then we needed a place for our family to have a dinner - even though we brought in food from outside, they let us use their banquet table where we had a fun time The staff was so helpful and friendly! I will certainly stay at this Hilton property again.

The location was very pretty with the "old Florida" grasses and waters beside the parking lot. The lobby was pretty and the rooms were fine, however, you heard everything from the hallway in the rooms and vice versa; you could see the hall light coming into the room from below the door. The pool was dirty and the skimmers weren't working. The hot tub want working either. The breakfast was at an additional charge, but the value wasn't near the cost. Great staff.

Wow, I’ve only been checked in or trying to check in for the hour. After I get my room, it absolutely stinks a vomit. So I went down to the front desk and changed rooms. No big deal. The second room at least didn’t stink. The shower was messed up. The valve was very hard to turn. I thought it was going to break it. I could not get to the hot water. Specifically came here for the bathtub. I wanted to soak my back. Not a good experience.

We have stayed here twice now. Both times for a conference that was being held here. The rooms are okay, but if we had to pay full price (or at all) we would definitely stay elsewhere. Our room had a slight mold smell to it but seemed clean. It had normal wear and tear for its age but should be addressed. The thermostat didn’t seem to work properly but the room was able to cool, thankful for that! The pool was clean, however, not sure how they keep people out who are not hotel guests. Pretty much anyone can access it. The hot tub is not a hot tub. Three jets worked and it was not hot. The gym was decent with free weights and a Peloton too among other cardio machines. Our food was included in our conference and the wait staff was absolutely amazing! If it wasn’t for the staff this stay wouldn’t have been the same! Huge difference from last year when we stayed! Kudos to the staff!

We stayed her while attending a wedding in Thonotosassa. Overall we had a good experience. The staff was super friendly and the hotel was adequate for our needs. We had a mini suite and the room was a good size for a small difference in price.

Will always pick a Hilton Garden Inn over others as they are generally nicer. This was old, and felt cheaper. No coffee outside of the $3 machine. No conditioner in rooms. Staff was great and made the best out of the facilities they had. Breakfast was delicious.

Really nice rooms with amazing customer service from the front counter staff to the cleaning staff! The rooms are a bit pricey for a family of 5. But we had a great trip. Very close to Busch Gardens.

Nice hotel, shower handle didn’t work so moved to another room. Really nice room, spacious, clean, nicely decorated. Easy access and location. Very nice bathroom and shower. Nice pillows, mattress, Very comfy. Very nice and helpful employees. No complimentary breakfast, but offers breakfast to purchase.

The name is not representative of what it used to be, however, this hotel sufficed! The night staff and morning staff were so friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and courteous. The hotel needs some updating and repairs. The pool was ok, nothing spectacular. The bathroom door out back by the pool did not lock. Our shower curtain rod was falling out of the wall causing tile to crack. Bathroom floors were either dirty or stained. Corner of our room smelled a bit like urine. Regardless, we stayed at a 3 star hotel and the staff was perfect!

Nice and close to USF. The young man that checked me in at the front desk was friendly and efficient. I'm not sure, but his name may have been Anthony. I spent over $430 for two nights and that did not even include breakfast. I spent $30 for breakfast for two. I was told after my first night that they only clean your room every other day. I had to have towels and coffee brought to my room by housekeeping by request .The window was filthy as you can see on the pictures and my carpet was sticky and had a stain on it, but besides that, the room was clean and the air conditioning worked well.

Walk in and the musty smell is obvious. The desk clerk was disorganized and gave another guest a key to our room! See photos for cleanliness of the room. AC vent hadn't been dusted for a while. Freezer hadn't been defrosted. I wish I had taken a picture of the tray in the bottom of the ice machine. it was disgusting! Poor management, poor treatment of housekeeping staff, poor quality amenity overall. would not recommend

It was a horrible experience! The first room had dried blood on the covers/comforter! The desk clerk came to the room and took pictures! She then put us in another room. When we walked in the room there were stains on the pillow(uncertain of what the stain was! When went into the bathroom and there was hair on the toilet seat and inside the toilet! We had to spray everything with Lysol! Because of what we saw and how we felt, we only stayed in the room to sleep, but didn’t sleep well! The following morning we left room. We returned late in the evening to attempt to sleep as we were attempting to be very tired and maybe get sleep! To our surprise, the room had not been touched! When we called the desk clerk and informed her the room hadn’t been touched, she informed us the rooms are only cleaned every four days! We were livid but held our composure well! Another night of no sleep when our purpose was to rest! The feelings we felt were deplorable!

I loved my stay. Before that I had made reservations at another motel/hotel that was the worst. They had broken down items, roaches and dirty sheets. I could'nt sleep. I was looking for the closet place to be near to my grandchildren. Then I got up looking through my phone to see if there's was a hotel closed by. I came across the Hilton and remembered that I had my membership number. I made my reservation and couldn't wait to get there. I was so happy to enter the Hilton hotel and sleeping in a wonderful bed. I recommend everyone to come and stay in very clean and safe environment. Marilyn

Very nice find. The 2 room suite with double bathrooms at an incredibly fair price - and this in spite of it being when everyone was returning to college nearby (USF). Nice Lobby and restaurant as well as fitness center. We will definitely choose this again. Even though our room was given away in spite of preparing and being Hilton Awards members, the front desk addressed it immediately and made it "right" for us in other ways immediately. It was a little difficult to find but it made for a very peaceful environment.

We are staying here for a softball tournament nearby. They decide to have a family reunion right below our room. Music and bass is shaking our room. The time right now is 10pm and the room is shaking. Front desk says it should be over in 30 min. Then it gets bumped another 30 min. Still going! Staff could care less. I highly recommend you consider staying elsewhere. We won't be back and we will be calling corporate.

Everything past the front lobby needs a huge update, the king beds are a pumped up queen not a king. Rooms are dated, smelly and run down. Rust in the showers and the sink, mini fridge was sweating inside we were on the 4th floor and could hear pretty much everything on our floor and above. We have stayed here in the past back in 2019 but this hotel seems like it has gone down hill for the $200 a night there are better

The bathroom and bathtub were dirty. You can tell the tub was lathered in caulk, covering up mold. The bathtub was shaped like a deep U. So the water was not going down the drain properly. I was literally standing in my own filth and had to wash my feet. The TV channel/cable system is out of date compared to the other locations. And I tried getting hot water, from the dispenser… coffee grounds and brown water came out. Definitely not coming back.

Traveling for business in the area. The hotel felt like it needed a deep clean. The lobby and elevator had sticky stuff on the floor that was had spilled. It was still there the next morning. Rooms had major cosmetic issues, and bathrooms had mold, like others have commented on. Staff were friendly, and did their best with the poor amenities they had to work with. The "bar" was a few bottles of liquor on a counter with cans of coke for mixers. The "restaurant" has a few fried items that they serve you in the shabby looking lobby. There are no restaurants or anything nearby unless you drive. I feel the management did a good job making this place look great in the photos! I thought the other bad reviews were people being overly picky. But, actually, its the good reviews that do not know what to expect from a decent modern hotel, especially a Hilton property. I couldn't wait to leave. I wont be back, and I wouldn't recommend it, especially for the price (~$280/night inc taxes). They at least have free parking.

Not quit as dirty as I thought it was going to be after reading some reviews. I booked this hotel to stay with friends for a concert so not something I would have booked on my own after reading the reviews. My experience was about on par with what everyone else has said. It is pretty dirty and outdated. There was a car that got broken into during our stay, so I would say definitely don’t leave ANYTHING in your car. The staff was hit or miss, some were slightly friendly, some were very rude. Our toilet just stopped working during our stay, when we called down they were pretty rude. We waited for maintenance for some time then finally found him in the hall laughing with housekeepers, he handed us a plunger and walked away. It’s fine for a quick stay, but if you have other options, use them. The hotel right across the street looks nicer, and the area isn’t bad. I won’t be back.

Stayed here while attending a wedding in Tampa. This hotel is adequate, nothing more. Front desk staff were super friendly, and I didn't have any issues during the stay that resulted in a complaint. I don't know if this hotel is slated for a renovation, or maintenance has given up, but the hotel has an overall dated feel. Bathroom fixtures and shower curtain rod were very loose. The safety grab bars in the elevators were loose. Hot tub not operational, but perhaps that's because of COVID. Pool was cold, but it's February. I didn't eat at the hotel, and didn't have room service during my 3-night stay.

I was first time at this location and there for business purposes. The front desk - Tate was professional and friendly. When I went to assigned room the room thermostat was not working and bathroom was not cleaned and asked for another room. Tate was accommodating and provided another room that was very good and cleaned and ac worked very well. Unfortunately I left an item in the room and called back to the hotel to see if able to locate and possibly send back to me and left message twice to Director of Housekeeping. Still have yet to receive call and will await and see and will update my review if she returns call.

Overall we were happy with our stay. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast and hot tub were nice. The room definitely showed signs of wear and tear, especially the bathroom. For the price we paid with the Busch Gardens package I feel like it was a great deal and worked for us but if you are expecting a more mid range to upscale experience since it is a Hilton Garden Inn then you might be disappointed.

My stays are always very restful. The staff there is beyond great. Mindy is amazing. She is very aware of my medical reasons for staying when I go to Moffitt. I only stay at this hotel due to the compassion the staff gives. Always a very friendly greeting when I walk through the doors. I do miss Ashley she was so good to me as well and the newer staff are now getting to know me. If I could give 10 🌟 I would. I thank you all.

I had a reservation booked and already pre-checked in online and received my room. My flight was cancelled due to weather and I was stuck in another state for the night so I never even made it to the hotel. I was passed the 24 hour notice for the reservation fee for a full refund but called and the person at the front desk was extremely helpful and gave me a 100% refund anyways. Their service is excellent and the staff was super accommodating!
