I have been craving some good tenders and decided to stop here and check them out for myself. I got the 4 tender meal and it was HOT and DELICIOUS!! There was only one guy working so if he his busy you may have to wait a bit but trust me when I say his food is WORTH IT! We definitely will be back!!!

Would have been 5 stars if the chicken was actually properly cooked. Never in my life have I picked up fried chicken that was cooked in the fryer that had blood on the inside. Chicken was definitely raw in some spots and rubbery texture. Sides were excellent. This place has a history of up charging the customer without telling them. Last time we ordered the 2 piece and she pretended to not understand me and gave us 3 piece meals. This time I paid for a 2 piece mixed and she charged me for 2 piece white when it was a mixed piece of a thigh and a breast for each plate. Also there is no disclaimer that they will charge you a convenience fee of 3% not until you're surprised as the receipt is printing out. Not sure that we will be back. Very sad because the chicken tasted very good last time when it was properly cooked. I guess Temple is cursed and will never have a good chicken place again.

Purchased the 3 mixed chicken dinner plate. The nice fellow greeted me nicely. Wow! I was really amazed on the nice portions. The chicken was not as salty as Bush's Chicken. Nice flavor, crispy. I will be back again!

Foods excellent owners are great very friendly and welcoming. Glad to see another location opened up. And that sweet tea be bussin!

I grew up eating Ernie’s in Belton. Tonight I picked up dinner from the one in Temple and was so disappointed. Nothing had flavor especially the chicken. I ordered the 20 piece box, Fries and mashed potatoes. I was so hungry and excited. A little salt makes a difference.

I'd love to try this place. Stopped in 3 times during business hours and it was always closed. I wish I knew when they will be there.

My wife and I love getting chicken or the catfish from Ernie's, they're always polite and the food is great, it comes with a great price also
