Far
cry
from
its
heyday
decades
ago.
Puerto
Azul
is
Made
up
of
4
beaches
and
several
structures.
Most
of
the
place
including
the
hotel
and
the
clubhouse
has
been
abandoned
and
is
now
in
ruins.
Caysubic
was
once
a
beautiful
resort
was
also
in
disarray
but
has
been
improved
of
late
by
a
Korean
group.
Aimed
at
the
foreign
tourist
the
golf
course
has
been
meticulously
revived.
As
a
result
even
though
the
cottages
have
not
been
improved
rental
prices
are
up
and
now
you
cant
get
in
without
a
reservation.
Paniman
Beach
cove
is
the
beach
beside
Caysubic.
Admission
fee
is
300
daytour
only.
For
a
time
everything
including
the
cottages
and
the
shower
and
toilet
area
was
dilapidated.
The
shower
areas
were
dirty
and
smelled
with
unflushed
toilets.
Water
was
inadequate.
You'll
have
to
bring
your
own
food.
Puerto
Azul
the
beach
and
clubhouse
was
supposed
to
have
undergone
renovation
but
up
to
now
has
remain
closed.
The
hundred
or
so
golf
carts
are
no
longer
there
and
the
golf
course
has
not
been
revived.
The
pier
has
collapsed.
