Not the worst but we won’t stay again. Pretty sure we got bed bug bites. Older hotel. Stained mattresses. Stained sinking couch. Unidentified white substance/stain on carpet next to bed.

Used points to stay here. Would have been worth it to pay and stay at the Home2 Suites, a Hilton property. Rooms are highly dated, outlets didn't work, had to switch rooms. Initially told I couldn't check in a couple hours early, but then allowed after we planted ourselves in the lobby. Just not a well run facility. Would have expected better for a Marriott property.

Bugs and hair in the beds, requested to move rooms and the next room also had bugs and hair in the sheets as well as a door that wouldn’t lock with a strong smell of animal urine. Front desk basically said “oh well”. Left without staying. Extremely disappointing from a national chain that’s usually pretty consistent. Making me rethink my company’s relationship with Marriott

Very clean hotel with friendly staff. The location is good being close to the interstate and plenty of food options nearby. The staff allowed us to use the common area a little later to finish up some work with our group. Breakfast was hot and the typical hotel breakfast. Decent food, but nothing spectacular.

Forced to make reservations online. Called the ACTUAL place. Woman said she could NOT do it at the desk right there at the physical location. Sent me to another phone #. It rang forever, picked up, then they hung up on me. I called back to the Springhill Suites located in Terra Haute. I said, "can't you just book me now?" She said no, refused, said she had No WAY to do so right there. Sent me AGAIN to another #. No one picked up. I struggled for an hour online to book due to a CRUMMY user unfriendly website. Had to re-edit again & again for the date, the # of adults, room etc. This also happened when I was booking the following night in Topeka for Residence Inn by Marriott. So, we arrive in Terra Haute. The SAME woman was at the DESk area. My husband asked if we could switch to a handicapped room. Lo and Behold, she WAS able to do this AT the desk Right Then & There. So she just didn't want to be bothered when I phoned her previously. It was her. I recognized her voice. This is ridiculous. I was just plain lied to. She didn't want to take the time or be bothered to actually do HER JOB. The room only had two towels for two adults. When I shower, I need a towel to dry with & one to wrap my long soaking wet hair in. Then there's no dry towel for my husband. This consistently happens at ALL Marriott properties! Marriotts have been really going downhill big time, yet really expensive for what you do or DON'T get. Would NOT recommend this Tera Haute location. I was lied to. Period.

This hotel has recently been remodeled. It was clean, comfortable beds and felt like safe area. Jennifer, the desk manager, greeted us with a bottle of water and a smile. She was very helpful and pleasant. She is the type of representative that every hotel would benefit from. Our first time passing thru Terre Haute. 5 star rating from us.

It's just okay. I guess you get what you pay for. All the other hotels in the area charge very similar rates so I thought I was getting a heck of a deal since this was an entire suite. It was fine. The rooms are a little dated. Cleanliness could definitely be improved. There was a coating of dust on the light fixtures next to the bed. There were some crumbs in the floor in front of the TV stand and around the sofa. The sofa could be replaced. It looks filthy. The mattress is probably one of the most awful mattresses I have ever had the displeasure of sleeping on. I think the floor would have been softer. After working all day I just really wanted a shower and a bed. I wish the bed would have been a little more worth it.

We stay at Marriott a lot (about 50 nights thru today), and this experience was not typical. Virtually all my experiences are 4-5 stars with most of those 5s. The carpet was dingy. Air conditioning worked, but every time it kicked on, it sounded like a jet plane was in the room. No trash can. No coffee in the room. No coffee at breakfast. Breakfast is basically cereal and wrapped nreakfast sandwiches. Grab and go may have been fine during COVID, but that's been over in southern IN for a couple of years. Overall, the vibe is one of laziness mixed with an absence of pride in the facility. I'm back in town in 10 days to stay at Fairfield. Hopefully, that is better. Our son is likely attending college here and playing soccer in the fall of 24. I'd like to think a Marriott property will be an option for the next 4 years given the number of nights I anticipate staying in Terre Haute. This property does not bolster my confidence that will occur.

It's a little awkward to get to and hard to spot, being situated back from the main road and behind another hotel. There's plenty of parking, and the staff member on duty was friendly. Check-in was a simple process. The room was clean. I was in an accessible room on the 2nd floor. Strangely, the sink was outside the bathroom, meaning you had to exit the bathroom to wash your hands. The bathroom had a blow dryer hanging on the door, but because of no power outlet or mirrors, you again had to exit the bathroom and go to the separate sink area. The beds were comfortable, and the linen was soft and pleasant. The TV, which I did not use, was offset to one side and hard to see from either the bed or the couch in the little sitting area.

Nice hotel, updated rooms with the exception of bathrooms. Comfortable. Decent breakfast spread. Front desk staff at check in wasn’t exceptionally helpful or friendly. Basically ran my card (did not check ID) and gave me room key.

I was worried after reading the reviews. Check-in was easy and quick. Our room was on the top floor at the end of hall. We checked the room, very clean. Everything looked new. I did not care for the air conditioner.. it's the kind that kicks off and on. I like a constant fan. Bathroom was clean the hot water was hot. The front desk lady in the morning was super helpful. The room was very quite and comfortable. 5 stars for the Springhill Suites.

The room was beautiful, very clean, everything smells so good when you walk into the hotel... I'd love to know what they use 😁 the breakfast bar was very nice, lots of variety. The beds were very comfortable. The staff was very friendly too.

Absolutely terrible experience here. Problems with noise (loud party) starting at 10 pm and continuing until 2 am. Four phone calls to the front desk - finally had to move to a different room at 230 in the morning. Strongly recommend against staying here in the future.

I was working in Paris, IL so this was a good place to stop. First couple nights were just fine. Room was clean, staff were helpful when the door lock stuck (will be remodeled soon). I was here during a recent big storm and it looks like power was knocked out for a few days, luckily I only had one night without power. Water still ran but it was cold of course. Provided somewhere to sleep and access to water during a regional emergency so I'd say they did a good job.

The outside of the hotel had me a bit worried as it’s older and needs a facelift. The inside has been recently updated and in good shape. The bathrooms appear to be only partially updated in the rooms. Still had the older shower and that could have been cleaned better especially on the bottom of tub.

This is absolutely THE WORST hotel property I've spent $175 on. 3am, I can't sleep because there is so much noise from the front desk, the room in dingy, the toilet is constantly running, the bed is completely worn on one side, the sofa is dirty, the window curtain is literally held together by DUCT TAPE and is also dirty I tried to complain on the Marriott site... tried 3 different browsers and was unable to select the hotel. Good work, Marriott - you have effectively disallowed complaints via your own site, so here's the review you deserve. I have washed my hands of this brand for good. My father was an employee for many years and would have been so ashamed of what this brand has become. I would have expected to pay less than half for this piece of garbage room.

This hotel was a nice place to stay overnight. We were able to all bunk in one room and the provisions worked. This is a plus for a larger than average family. I appreciate when hotels are able to accommodate for out of the norm circumstances. They have a nice, little pool and hot tub and the breakfast was good. It's all laid out with care.

I am a titanium elite member and have experienced many Marriott hotels. This one looks older and smells older. Breakfast is very basic. Beds are old and very soft at edges. Will not stay here again. Update: it’s 10:30 am and my wife and I are having showers when we hear a chain saw outside. See photo. Room is very close to someone’s home - also hotel maintenance decide to trim trees with chainsaw. Why don’t they wait until most guests have checked out? Just drive on by this hotel.

Nice and clean hotel. Breakfast was good, but far from spectacular. We had a good time. The room layout was different. Did not have usb ports in any rooms like any other Marriot hotels. Other than that it was a good place for the price.

I stayed at this springhill suites as a titanium elite marriot member. Hotel staff was great. They were kind and addressed all of my issues immediately. I'm giving one star because there was an issue with the room every day of my stay. The room key never worked, so I had to return to the front desk DAILY to have them re program the key to my room. The carpet in the room was GROSS. the walls were dirty, the beds were uncomfortable and the linen needs to be thrown in the garbage. I had to remind staff to have housekeeping clean my room after the 3rd night of no cleaning. this hotel needs some serious upgrades. I would not reccomend staying here.

Shower spout leaks so you don’t get full pressure on shower mode. The night stand is way too small it’s basically useless. I can’t reach it to place my phone. The closet door is missing. There were rips in the window curtain. Room only had one wash cloth. Pillows were nice. Front desk was nice. This place needs a remodel. I thought it would be better than the other Marriott because this one is a “3-star” over the other one being 2 star. But if I’m in this town again I’ll be looking at other places.

Hate that they have decided the pool is too expensive to keep. Got there early and would have been nice to relax in it. A small exercise room that smelled musty. We were told the pool area will be converted into a larger exercise area. Other than that, quiet area tucked behind the Holiday Inn.

Lots of room to spread out, free wifi, and free breakfast buffet (mostly continental, but a nice selection). Generous check-out (12pm instead of 11am). Two-night stay. Be aware that housekeeping only cleans rooms and refreshes towels every other day. Somewhat secluded off the highway. Multiple shopping options nearby, some within walking distance.
