Cost atmosphere, great staff. You are made to feel welcome immediately. The decor is also very quirky in a positive way, I would recommend a drink or ten! ;)

Den Engel is a real gem in Tervuren. Typical brasserie food with a very nice beer menu. The ambience is where it’s at! A little dark with wood and iron decor and old captains chairs or benches. A wonderful place to duck in and escape the rain or have a leisurely meal. Service can be slow, sometimes altogether absent (after food is delivered) but a quick walk up to the bar will rectify that. Plenty of room inside and patio tables directly outside and across the street if the weather is nice.

This is a cosy bar with a friendly atmosphere, never too busy. The barman is hilarious and will always make you feel welcome. There is a good selection of snacks and main meals at sensible prices.

Totally unpretentious brown brick and wooden table old fashioned bar. Does beer and basic food. Good oldies mix on the playlist and friendly staff.

A real gem! Great pub, you can pop in for a fantastic seasonal pub meal or you can just grab a drink. The price of the food and drink is very acceptable considering the fact that it's the center of Tervuren. The house wine is something I usually steer clear of, but the house wine here is both affordable and pretty good. The glasses are very generous! The setting is really the best point about this place, it is so beautiful and actually huge! You'd never thing it was that big on the inside looking at the facade. It feels like it was an inn a very long time ago with its wooden beams galore. Absolutely recommend a visit!

Friendly service and plenty of space

Outstanding service by Mark & Bruno. Excellent selection of beers served by a staff that knows the beer's taste and history. International guests add to Den Engel's charm. Don't miss it if you come to Brussels!

Highly recommended! I only took a photo of the small coffee cup as we finished the food so quickly (no time for other photos)! Delicious! Good music too!
