Very unpleasant staff (except for the lovely blonde girl working at the bar). We felt like we were not welcome. I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone.

A great place to eat ... I had an enormous portion of Spaghetti Bolognese which was amazing. And of course, the usual wonderful beer. However, the steaks which were presented to all the customers around me looked amazing. Not your thin French type steaks but large American style ones with accompanying fries. Next time ....

This was the only place in the town opened for food after 2pm and before 6pm. Every other ace said we are closing when we approached before 2pm. The food was tasty and stuff was friendly.

This is an edit and a downgrade of my first review (below) from 5 star to 2 star. First for the owner: it's a pitty you invested so much into quality furniture and design, service ruins it. If you want details let me know, comment below, we can talk, i live nearby in Tervuren. Didn't expect this service from the most expensive braserie in town.... So, We stopped by as I hopped for a few weeks now, to have something to eat. Everything that could have gone wrong it did. After we sat down it took 10 minutes for us to get some menus, in the meantime table by the window that came after us, got menus, got to order and got their beer....bare in mind this was at 13:50 when we entered, only 5 tables full inside. We got to order drinks after 15 min, than another 15 min until we got tomorder some food. We actually went to the bar to ask if we can order wince no one was asking us. It's not like they didn't see us, we were just next tot he bar. Picture below. Beer came without the normal peanuts/snacks. I know they serve it the topically Belgian way, we just didn't get any. I had to ask. ...moving on, food came in another 20 min...this is 14:50 now, 1h since we arrived. Food came, no fries. We had tartare and vol-au-vent....i thought they come after, 10 min i ask and...surprise, they forgot the fries. 6-7 min lady comes with fries that were obviously super hot so another 6-7 min to cool down to be able to eat. Of course vol-au-vent was cold now. Tartare steak ... Portion is very small, see picture, half plate empty, and for the chef .... Tabasco worcestershire sauce not served... Please look at how you cut the onion....that's not the way u serve a tartare priced at 25 euro.... Dissapointing experience... ***Old review*** Stopped by for a drink only. Very good service. I never bother writing reviews, however this restaurant deserves to be criticised for its ridiculously poor service. Drinks will come after 40 minutes even if you complain multiple times. Within the space of 30 minutes, I could count 5 separate couples/families who have left in anger as they have not yet been served. Despite receiving countless of complaints, they simply do not care. Do not go here because your expectations will not be met in the slightest.

The vegetarian dish was excellent and the dessert was amazing! Also the place is really great and the staff very friendly. Must go. Service was a bit on the slow side but it is however holiday season. Overall great experience, highly recommended.

Very beautiful place with windows overlooking the garden, great food, atmosphere but sadly the service is a bit slow. The waiters are very nice but just take time to cook your food. Great place to go with the kids, has a nice menu especially for them and even had a nice little play park in the garden for kids in the restaurant.

Nice little terrace, good for families with small children as equipped with a play area and grass lawn. Fish and fries were good but ribeye steak of mediocre quality and undercooked even after having asked for well-done. Very slow service, took almost one hour to get our main course after a shared appetizer.

The food is quite good but this place is consistently left down by the service. I've been a few times under different circumstances and its always an issue. Slow!!! Be patient if you go here...

We had a superb lunch with fun and friendly staff. They specially made a gluten-free desert for my friend, even though it was not on the menu. Lovely setting with huge windows overlooking the garden/terrace. Food was beautifully presented. Underground Parking available across the road - no need to run in the rain.

Good experience! Service was equal to a normal restaurant- not too fast or too slow. The server took the kids orders with the drink orders and that a great first step in our book. The menu was full of normal entrees for this area and we were not disappointed.

We have sat down outside and then went inside to order as nobody was coming. The guy was rude and said it was all reserved, even though the restaurant inside and outside was almost empty.

Went there as was looking for a place for our expat community dinners. Left after waiting for 20 mins in front of a dirty table. Waiters were very slow and lacked professionalism. After asking for menu, they still didn't come.

The average review score is fairly accurate. Overall conclusion is: overpriced. Poor price/quality ratio. Service was fine though. The restaurant survives due to location so do not expect a great culinary experience. Food was ok, lacked tastyness.

Had the most delicious Saturday lunch at the Lodge in Tervuren! Everything was so fresh and delicious. Great meal, Chef!!! And, the service and ambience were delightful 😊

Ordered scampi coco with rice. The reste of the family ordered fries and steak Waited patiently. Everyone received their order. I received just scampi without rice. I asked about ordered rice and there they let me know that there is no rice, The rice was not delivered. Then they ask if I would like to have pasta or fries. They still have to make it. So I just sat there with the scampi without rice. No Apologies was given by the staff. I don’t usually complain but it at least the minimum is to inform if there is an ingredient or menu missing When I told them. I will like another menu ,they asked us to leave

The space is nice and has a good atmosphere, but the service is not good unfortunately. They do their best but they need training and help. People have to wait too long and orders are not taken clearly. Then the food is not that great either for the price they charge. So, unfortunately is not a place I will come back.

I d say they advertise as an upscale place but dishes quality (I had beef tartar) re definitely mediocre.

ATT: Kitchen closes at 20h45 … the restaurant is open till 22h … but kitchen stop to take orders at 20h45 they just confirmed to me on Aug 28th 2023! Fair enough, but could be clarified on web, google, door …

Atmosphère looked nice so we felt lured for a nice lunch. However, we did not get a chance to taste the food. We first waited 20 min to somebody to come and offer us the menus. Finally, a waiter came, after I was waving at him for five minutes and new guests came to sit at the next table. He was surprised we were not ready to give an order.... After the next 5 minutes he brought the menues and apologized. When he served the guests who came 20 minutes after us and were sitting at the next table. After another 10 minutes waiting, we still did not manage to order food. So we left and will never come back again. I do not recall a similar situation anywhere in the world, and I am a well travelled person. Totally unacceptable.

Last summer we visited the restaurant a couple of times and had a good experience, so we decided to have a Saturday family lunch. The weather were nice and the environment, garden terrace is nice in the yard. Unfortunately the good experience stops here. Just want to mention that the restaurant were not busy at around 14:00 when we arrived, we were seated the drinks arrived so far so good. Then more then 30 minutes to get the starters, Bruschettas. We finished no one bothered to have a look just running around totally disorientated. Another 30 minutes after we finished one waiter passed and asked if we want to order. We ordered one hour ago. They missed the order for the main course, but denying saying that they will just bring it. Another 30 minutes later the main course arrives. One is missing, the chef is preparing we will bring it in a minute. Another 30 minutes later the last main course arrived. The waiter promised dessert on the house as compensation. No one were around to take any orders and when I in the end went to pay, the waiter turned the back towards me and disappeared. No compensation of any kind where given. The food; We ordered Cod, mushed potatoes and asparagus. The white asparagus were not cleaned and under steamed, not possible to eat. The fish watery and slimy and the chef tried to dry it out on high temperature on the pan. A fish disaster! Summery: a totally dysfunctional place, service and kitchen.

Nice food and kind staff

Went there on a Monday for the steak-deal (14€). Perfect steak, good portion of salad, plenty fries. I liked the mushroom-sauce I had. Staff was very friendly, location is very nice and we had a nice place for our group of 7. I had a Dame blanche for dessert which was a VERY good size and the hot chocolate sauce was delicious! Definitely a recommendation! Additionally plenty of parking available! Split bill no problem either.

Had my dinner with some friends in The lodge Tervuren, the food tastes average AND NOT FRECH AT ALL (the one from the supermarket is more delicious than it). BUT, WAS WORSE IS THAT I threw back all what I had eaten there when home. The amount of pain I had than night was unsupportable... REALLY SHAME ON YOU THE LODGE TURVEREN

We went on Sunday after new year. The restaurant has a nice settings and very close to Tervuren Park. I really like the food, but the server was unpolite and rude. It is a pity.

Nice place with decent food. Prices are a bit steep but it's worth a try!

Good food, great location and fair prices. There is a nice little outside play area for the young ones whilst you are having a drink in the the terrace. Well worth a visit.

My salad was huge and the fries were delicious. Overpriced Gin & Tonic was overpriced.

Nice decor, good authentic Belgian food and attentive waiter. Loved our visit!

Good food & friendly crew. You won't leave hungry :)
