Was meeting an old Friend I met while working for a Contractor in Iraq. Looking for a place to go for a quick bite and a couple beers, we happened across Fat Jack's. We had a great time. The servers and bartenders were very Friendly and attentive, the Yuengling was ice cold and the food was very good as well. Overall, we had a great time, great food, great service and my next time through Texarkana,will definitely pay Fat Jack's a visit.

If you enjoy oysters, this is the only place to go. Their selection is outstanding and cooked to perfection. They also have a large selection of other items. Every meal I have eaten there has been outstanding. It's not a luxurious place but the food makes up for everything. I highly recommend this place. You will not regret it.

If your in the area and want feel out the atmosphere, this is the place to go. Fast service great. The Basket meals were out standing fish, octets, shrimp done perfectly. If you get the Crabs cakes tell them sauce on the side. A hole on the wall that is spot on.

Still around I hope forever this nostalgic little tavern is home to millions of history and tall tales. State line nachos and angels on horseback I highly recommend.

I didn't eat, dishes we ordered were of the liquid variety... but the drinks were very good, music was very good and customer service was very friendly!

This is a gem. A funky little hole in the wall type place with great service and great food. I bet there are some fun nights there for sure. If I'm ever in Texarkana I will be back. My favorite item I ate was the angel fire oysters and raw oysters. Those were both so delicious! Fast and courteous service.

Had awesome chargrilled oysters and boudin egg-rolls with super cold bottle beer. Great break during a long driving trip.

2 for burgers are tasty here. And you never know who you gonna bump into..look..its the singer of Tesla!!

Great food, service, and entertainment. Had fun with hubby, my nephew and niece whom are all veterans. Fat Jacks honored their service with free food. Thank you Fat Jacks you are amazing!

Can't comment about the food, because I didn't eat there. But the live music was great

Some servers do their job other ones you end up having to go to the counter to get your own food but I love that place, so if you see a server you better holler at them & make sure u get there attention!

The food used to be very good here. This last time the shrimp smelled fishy and wasn’t crispy. It tasted old and they tried to cover it up with extra creole seasoning. The dog liked it, but it’s a little pricey for dog food.

Ordered two cheeseburgers and onion rings and all of it exceeded expectations. We will definitely visit it again passing through town.

This place is a good dive bar. They have a variety of options on the menu. I ordered the shrimp pasta. Unfortunately, it took almost an hour because the first plate was burnt according to my waiter. I didn't see it. He asked if I still wanted the shrimp pasta. He would have it remade. Aside from that the service wasn't very good. I never got a refill on my drink and he didn't come back to see if I needed anything or if the food was good. Fortunately the food was very good. I'll give this place another chance someday. I'll try the oysters.

Stopped here after hunting sasquatch, I will be coming back. Food is outstanding. I had peel & eat shrimp and a dozen raw oysters. The shrimp were exactly as I like them and the oysters were fresh and gigantic. My friend had the Ribeye and wasn't disappointed. Good place to chill relax, have drinks and GREAT food. Live music is always welcomed in my life. Staff knows what they are doing.

Always a great time at Fat Jacks, they never disappoint. The band that was playing tonight was great, the energy in the place was amazing. Ran into some friends, as well as befriended a couple new people tonight playing pool. If you're wanting to have a great time with no drama involved, Fat Jacks is the place to be. Exceptional Service, Stellar Staff, Excellent Place to go and have an Amazing time with friends as well as meeting some pretty cool people up there. 10 out of 10 highly recommend this place.

I grew up in NYC, currently living in Albuquerque. I was extremely taken back by the set up. But the food was great. Noodles could've been more firm, but the flavor was on POINT! Will definitely be back if I'm in town

Great little place. Great experience from the food, staff and local people. This place has overcome many obstacles in their history. Unlike many places you have plenty of room to shoot some pool, watch a game and get some vitals. I had the angel wing oysters, crab cakes, gumbo,some drinks and a few other items for 2 people. All under $100.00.

We stopped in late Saturday afternoon for fried oysters and they did not disappoint! Cocktail sauce was nice and horsey, just as we like it, too. Service was ok.

If you are rolling through Texarkana Jacks is the place to stop Try the shrimp dip

The Reuben was excellent! Jack's dip is great. Jumbo shrimp and spinach quesadilla was yum. The mushroom seafood crepes were okay.

Cool atmosphere, great food, appetizers, cold drinks and the staff is out of this world friendly and helpful. Live band was really good and one member played for Percy Sledge for 20 years Owner is a cool cat also!!

Waitress was great! Word of caution for the food though! Came in to celebrate my birthday and the Food was absolutely wretched! Ordered Shrimp po boy and oyster po boy; both were rancid! Ordered Chicken strips instead and those came out and you could see that they were freezer burnt through the breading! One bite and they were so hard and chewy it wasn’t worth another bite! The only thing worth eating from our group was the gator toys and the French fries and onion rings. It was entirely disappointing given all of the glowing reviews for this establishment.

The only reason this place gets the star is because the staff is fantastic. The overpriced food is absolutely awful. We got the seafood crepes and the etouffee. The crab meat was imitation the dishes were salty and the etouffee was so heavily black peppered I couldn't taste anything except black pepper. I spent $50. The place is a joke as far as food is concerned but if you're looking for a bar to hang out in I guess this is your place
