If I could give zero stars I would. I don’t see how this place is even in business. First off, the room was not clean. The shower curtain was MOLDY there was hair all over the shower by the previous tenant. The A/C was extremely loud and sounded as if it was going to explode at any moment. There were ants all over the room. As soon as I sat on the bed they were crawling on me. The pictures on the internet are very deceiving.

Reserved 10 rooms on a group rate. Was given the price per night with tax and was still charged extra. Was told that taxes were 13%. After paying we were then told that the pool, exercise room, and kitchen were all closed. Kitchen caught fire and there would be no breakfast, just grab and go. Pool and fitness room were closed due to Covid. Last I checked those restrictions were lifted. Not only that, hallway stayed filthy the 3 days we were there. Black cleaning gloves laid in the floor all weekend and was never picked up by housekeeping. Housekeeping was rude and didn't do their job. One elevator working and it was filthy. Managers tried their best but their staff made the task of keeping guest happy a hard one. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

Good location. Fair price. Firm but comfortable beds. Reasonably clean. Only downside was the "continental breakfast". There was none. It's been turned into a grab and go affair served on a utility cart next to the front counter. Had I known, I would have made other plans.

Bed spreads were filthy. Bathroom was nasty. Large party was there but very quiet on my floor. Tv and air conditioner both worked fine. Staff was friendly and helpful. No amenities, restaurant, no breakfast. Building and furniture were aging. Great thing is no bedbugs were observed.

I have made a previous review without viewing this hotels reviews before staying. I just assumed from other Wyndham experiences it would be good. Clearly, it’s not a good option. Imagine walking on carpet that feels moist and then seeing sunflower seeds at your bed. Most reviews are pretty on point because they are horrible. The bathroom paint looks like it’s supposed to be touched up. When I walked in the hallway I saw an empty beer box. The same beer box is still here with other trash collected. (pizza boxes/more alcohol boxes). I’ve stayed for 2 nights. $55 is great, but this place should be reduced… seriously $25 would kind of be worth it. I found a new hotel verified by the local police that is the same price that is way better and safer. Do not stay in this nasty place.

We checked in them went into our two bed room. Going down the hall was bad enough because it smelled so bad and everything was dirty, then we checked out the room. The smell was so bad too. Carpet was tore up, actually took up the sheets, but no way they were cleaned prior to previous customers. I would not recommend this motel. Desk clerk did check us back out without any problems.

We booked this hotel the day of and they still didn’t have my reservations at all! We got our room but the room was Disgusting. The bathroom has pieces of trash on the floor, the carpet was not vacuumed! Plus our bed had no pillows! Things were not wiped down. They gave us a second room and it’s was a tad better it still was not a room people should be staying in. Overall it was no good! Do not stay here and stay away!

The rooms were nice and clean, but they clearly are cutting a lot of corners which leads to a poor experience. The AC in the rooms never turned on as much as we adjusted them, my guess is they capped it at 74. The shampoo in the bathroom was one tiny tear-open packet, barely enough for one person. The towels are tiny. The final straw for me was breakfast. Nothing but toast, waffles, and oatmeal. Worst of all, they only had 4oz cups for the coffee. Basically you had to take a bunch of coffee shots, and forget taking any to-go. The staff was very nice and we liked the rooms, but they cut too many corners and had a bad experience. Would not recommend, there are better hotels in the same price range.

Was Visiting My Uncle There, Has A Suit With A Fridge, Microwave, Cold Air, Room Service Daily, Nice View, Clean Pool, Very Friendly And Helpful Staff. Has Shops Inside. Very Clean And Renovated. Would Recommend To Visitor's. Easy On And Off I-30 East Or West. Elevator's, Cart's For Luggage. Very Prompt Room Cleaning Services, Will Bring Extra Towels, Wash Clothes, Etc. Great Place To Stay In Texarkana Texas.

Absolutely the worst hotel. Online pics are staged. The nastiest most disgusting hotel, something you would see in a horror movie. Our first room had blood stains all over the comforter. They put us in another room bed was cleaner, bathroom filthy, paint on curtains and curtains taped to the wall, office chairs leather had peeled of. No signal on TV. I was scared and bothered by lurking people while out side smoking. Hay and grass all over the lobby floor. Doors to all of the rooms were horrible and look like they had survived a tornado. I saw reviews after I got here of bed bugs and don’t doubt that they have them. Totally unsanitary. Someone needs to re evaluate management and staff here. Never ever ever will we stay in this rundown hotel again.

We stayed on April 1st we had traveled 10 hours and needed a pet friendly hotel so I called and made a reservation, the total had come out to $121 plus change. When we got there the lady at the front desk was gossiping on the phone and had to interrupt her call to attend to me I informed her I had just made a reservation and I just needed to get my key, I did notify the man on the phone that we were traveling with a small pet when I informed her she quickly informed me that there was a 25 dollar non returnable fee, by this time I was exhausted and just wanted to sleep I gave her my card and paid the fee. When we got to the room the door was open and I had to leave my 92 year old mother so I looked around just to make sure there was no one there the carpet was dirty and the furniture was old. They told us they had a continental breakfast so my husband went down early the next morning to get some coffee and they didn’t have anything we got our luggage and left. For $150.00 this hotel is a dump!

Location was nice and convenient. The woman working the front desk was nice. That’s about all that was good. The room was old, outdated. It had not been cleaned whatsoever. The bed and sheets were nasty. Furniture was broken and covered with some sketchy stains… The room, hallways and elevators reeked of pot. Too expensive for what you are getting.

The only things going for this hotel are price and location. I saw reviews of nice rooms, but I must have drawn the short straw - won't stay here again. The room was terrible (rm 311), outdated, and it doesn't look like it's been repaired for years. Bathroom door jamb didn't have a receiver for the door, only had one towel (for a two queen room) and no floor mat for the shower, filthy chair, tattered desk chair, bed linens looked like they came from the 70s. An air vent in the bathroom was just nasty. We used a luggage cart, it was fine until you put something on it, then it was hard to push and steer. The front desk person was very nice (we didn't arrive until 2am). At least the elevator worked. For a wyndham property, I was very disappointed 😞.

DON'T STAY HERE! Tried to get hotel management to respond & they only avoid conversations. Gross place - filthy (urine & hair everywhere in the rooms), NO breakfast at all (paid for it, too). Nonsmoking rooms smelled of smoke. It was awful. Hotel was in terrible disarray. At arrival, 2 of our 3 rooms had no access - keys did not work & had to get new rooms, one of which had a terrible smoke smell. Stained carpets in rooms were pretty gross, too. Toilets in 2 new rooms were not clean (urine on seat, bowl & seat back). We had to clean them ourselves. Half the lightbulbs in the bathroom of one room did not work, so limited lighting in bathroom. Breakfast was supposed to be served from 7am-9am, so we got up early to eat at 7am & leave for our road trip. No breakfast, no staff, no food of any kind. We were told the staff did not show up, so breakfast was not available. Asked for a partial discount or for our breakfast at Waffle House next door to be paid for. Not done. We were told the hotel manage was on her way. Her Uber was late so she would be there in 15-30n minutes or more. We chose the Wyndham Garden Texarkana because of the free breakfast offered for the 9 of us in our party. Not only was this a waste, it cost us extra now because we had to go eat & pay for what we paid the Wyndham Garden Texarkana for. It fits the model for a homeless shelter or sleazy lifestyle joint.

We were woken up at 1:30am to bed bugs. We found 5. We didn't stay around long enough to find more. We went to the front desk and they helped us out and moved us rooms and washed anything that was washable. The people who worked the night shift help us out brought us the stuff we needed. The morning shift person didn't help us what so ever. We asked for a luggage cart to be brought to us because if it weren't for the bed bugs we wouldn't need one. We had to put all of our belongings in trash bags and struggled carrying down because we were told that we had to get the luggage cart. I'm hear with my volleyball team and we had a game that night and a game today and it made it very difficult to sleep.

Very unclean, unsafe place. Do not stay here. Save your money and go to a better hotel in a better location. Elevators and floors on the room levels were extremely nasty. The room felt unclean and I was completely afraid to leave my belongings in the parking lot, we had a trailer and side by side. Our room faced the interstate and we could see homeless people starting a fire at the end of the parking lot. DO NOT STAY AT THIS PROPERTY!! We checked in and checked right back out after about an hour.

DO NOT stay here! The room was so gross and the clientele were even worse! I was scared! The lobby is deceiving because it's so nice but then you go into the room and oh my gosh so gross!! We literally went in and walked out. That's what we get for trying to stay cheap for one night. BUT Lisa the lady at the front desk was soooo nice. She was funny on some things she said when we came back down she knew we wanted to leave but he personality made the 5 minute visit worth it!! But for real don't stay here.

This is my place of choice when in town. Haven’t been here in 2 years. I’m impressed with the remodeling which is taking place as I speak. Fresh flooring, event center upgrade undergoing, soft comfortable beds, clean white sheets, towels and tub. One fee for pets no matter how many days you stay unlike some other places who charge by the day. The staff is so kind and sweet. Customer service was great even when I couldn’t work the tv they sent someone at 11:30 pm to do a simple job. Yes I would recommend customers to give this place your service. Remember if you be kind to others, they will be kind to you.

You can tell it's an older hotel but it was clean, comfortable and service was friendly so that's why it gets 4 stars from me. If you're a breakfast eater, it was pretty bare, but I'm not so didn't effect my rating. Room was cold which was a nice change from other places! Would stay again as I was meet with courtesy and slept great! 👍

Inside room looks clean, smells clean, IS clean. Everything in working order. Lots of grass to walk the dogs, cats, Etc. Outside grounds needs attention. Go and grab breakfast. Normal self serve breakfast Temporarily unavailable due to emergency in kitchen. Be patient. Bed and it’s toppings very comfortable. Unlike other hotels, the desk chair wheels actually roll. Overall a very good experience and the price quality ratio is excellent

So disappointed to check into this hotel and find out the hard way that Room 307 was infested with Bed Bugs. We weren’t laying on the beds more than 15 minutes before both of us were bitten multiple times, and even more bugs were seen speeding across the bed toward us, (I didn’t expect that at all; I had to Google them to verify they were indeed bed bugs). The front desk staff were extremely apologetic and accommodating; they offered to put us in another room, but we chose to get a refund instead and stay elsewhere. My first experience with Bed Bugs, and it was extremely unpleasant, not to mention time consuming and expensive to carefully examine and treat all of our personal items to ensure we didn’t bring them home with us. The hotel was a little dingy, not exactly up to typical Wyndham standards, but that was the least of our worries.

Nasty bathroom smells like urine. Bathtub dirty . people hair still in tub . Door to room completely horrible looking. This is supposed to be a super nice hotel to carry the Wyndham name . Wyndham should look at this hotel and be completely embarrassed to have there name on this hotel. The outside not safe. They laying around on the ground. People stilling smoking what looked to be drugs in the car . Also car in the back with busted out window. The lady at the front desk informed me that the car has been there for months. Again Wyndham should be embarrassed to this building under there name .

This is one of the worst experiences ever! I should've known that once I arrived, it would be bad when a family had checked in but given keys to a room that people were already staying in. The rooms were nasty, and the front desk woman was rude and ridiculous. We were there no longer than 30 minutes after looking around the hotel and wanted to check out and leave. The woman stated that because we'd been there longer than 20 minutes that we'd still be charged. After contacting customer service on the phone for a refund, they stated that the woman said its against the hotel policy to refund us because we were there longer than an hour. DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE OR THEIR WORKERS!!!!

Everything is old, banged up, and filthy. The beds were at least clean, but there’s dirt in corners and on every surface. This place looks like it used to be a really nice establishment but hasn’t been touched in years. Also, keep your kids close. Not the safest environment. And don’t count on breakfast, there was hardly anything to start with and ran out quickly.

  • 3/5 Kari B. 6 months ago on Google
The staff was very nice and helpful. The hotel is in great need of repair. The elevator is very slow and has things falling off the walls. Buttons are broken and missing. The safety lock was missing from my room door, and there was what looked like mold on the ceiling.

  • 5/5 Zachariah R. 2 years ago on Google
Obviously this is not a super high end hotel. The pool is closed "until covid ends" so I'm guessing that means forever. That said, it's also not the cost of a super high end hotel. It is reasonably clean, the staff is very helpful, the beds are very comfortable, and overall we enjoy our stays. The continental breakfast leaves much to be desired, but it is right next to a Waffle House. Overall, it's a very good balance of price and quality. Obviously there are much more high-end hotels in the Texarkana area, but you are also going to pay three times more for a room.

Stayed 1 night then decided to stay 1 more. Front desk was amazing and so helpful. Room was outstanding. Entire stay was the best. Can't beat the great price. Everyone there was having a good time

I have stayed at other Wyndham properties. However, this was the filthiest, worst maintained that I have other stayed at. The only positive thing was the smiling people at the check in desk. Other than that, there was sticky stuff stuck on the floors, and inside the elevators. The fitness equipment was missing weights, and the equipment was broken. The room I stayed in was so dirty, and the maintenance folks obviously do not know how to perform maintenance. Ants crawling on the bed. The breakfast was a joke. No water in the water cooler, no trash cans, no one on site, dirty. No inspection stickers in the elevators. Avoid this hotel at all costs.

For $81, this hotel is great! Kind staff, clean room, big bed with clean sheets, plenty of space, nice bathroom (with nice water pressure!), working appliances. It felt safe & comfortable. I’d say the only downside is very small tv with no channels, but this hotel was perfect for a safe and clean place to stay coming home on a road trip. Highly recommend!

Initial contact at check in was fine. Walked into our room and found debris ALL OVER the floor - dust, dirt, Styrofoam particles, pleather pieces from the desk chair. As the pleather and Styrofoam posed a potential danger to my husband's seizure alert dog, he went to the front desk to inquire about getting this issue corrected. A room change was mentioned (he called me to make sure that would be ok with me) but instead an employee was sent up with a vacuum. Said employee was exceedingly kind and apologetic - he'd JUST gotten off work as I was checking in, so he wasn't in uniform - and made quick work of cleaning the floor. After he left and we got our luggage in the room I attempted to turn the television on. There were 2 remotes, but ALL either of them would do was turn on the TV, with one of the two allowing volume control. Nothing I did would allow me to change the channel, access the guide or ANY OTHER OPTIONS. After 20 mins of fiddling and trying every option I could conceive, I went to the front desk and asked if there was some secret to operating the TV. The front desk clerk was very abrupt and condescending; said she'd send someone up. By the time I returned to the room, my husband had done SOMETHING that made the controllers work. UNFORTUNATELY he suffers seizure related memory issues and had NO CLUE what he'd done to make the controllers work. Within seconds of this discovery the lady from the front desk arrived and was nasty and EXCEEDINGLY CONDESCENDING treating us as if we were imbeciles. My husband tried to explain that he didn't KNOW what he'd done to make them work and SPECIFICALLY ASKED her to show me how to make them work should it happen again. Her only response was, "it works now, that's all you need!" PROBLEM WAS that like MOST people we turned the TV off when going to bed. UNFORTUNATELY NOT ALL GUESTS think of others and at 12:30 am, we were awakened by INCONSIDERATE GUESTS who were speaking loudly and allowing their dog to BARK ALL THE WAY DOWN THE HALL!! This of course, set our dog off momentarily. In order to mitigate this happening again, I turned the TV back on, at a low volume. UNFORTUNATELY, the controllers NO LONGER WORKED ONCE AGAIN, so I was unable to change the channel. A Fast & Furious movie was playing (Tokyo Drift) so the sound - despite being at a lower level - continued to fluctuate with the change of scenes!! I was AGAIN awakened at 3:21 a.m. when another contingent of guests decided to continue their "party" all the way down the hardwood floor (NO NOISE DAMPENING) hallway!!! When you are the only driver in the family and you have another FULL DAY OF DRIVING AHEAD OF YOU, the LAST THING you want or NEED is CONTINUAL INTERRUPTION OF YOUR SLEEP!!! FIVE MINUTES of the front desk clerks time and SOME of this issue could have been avoided!! I mentioned this issue to the Hotel Manager - who was very apologetic and even offered refreshments as an apology. Ultimately, though a thoughtful gesture, the behavior of the clerk and admonishment to late visitors to be mindful of others SHOULD HAVE ALREADY been a matter of course.

It's definitely a 2-star hotel. Not 3. Besides the helpful and pleasant lady at the front desk.. everything else was... pretty bad. Everything from bugs, tore up walls, dirty air conditioner that was screaming loud. It would take me a while to write the issues. Just look for yourself.

We were coming here from Dallas for work so my boss booked this hotel. The first day was good, but the second day was disgusting. Housekeeping didn't even mention it. We leave early to work. I left my hat and some AirPods, much to my surprise when I arrived. There was nothing, my boss went to console the cleaning boy, swearing that he had nothing. Then my boss got upset when this happened. The guy said he was going to check his car to see if my things were there and magically they appeared about 30 minutes after this fact, knocking on our room the police were there, the guy called the police only because my boss confronted him to ask him why. my things. that he had stolen, they evicted us from the hotel and gave us a notice ⚠️ that we cannot come for another year! Seriously, wow, I personally think this was inappropriate. I wish the owner or manager would fire that guy, he's from Nepal, because I think this will never be a good business. They should be more careful who they hire because they have thieves. as a staff it does not help your business grow so take note

Room was ok. Convenient location. Traveling with dogs was easy. Breakfast and breakfast area very poor. Limited selections. No coffee ready. Juice machine out of order and the ceiling was leaking onto the floor. Lots of signs not allowing anything back to the room for my wife too.

I was at this motel about 3 wks ago I stay 2 nights the front desk manager and house keeping manager was very respectful, friendly, and accommodating. It's amazing how you can have a good experience to a bad one. I came back for a 2 night stay still front desk very friendly but the housekeeping manager was no longer. And you can tell cause the rooms was horrible. My blanket was discolored my bathroom floor was sticky there where still food in my fridge left from the previous guest. People slamming doors all night. I will not be staying here ever again if I could give 0 stars I would. But I think her name is Mrs Carolyn and the housekeeping manager that made sure my room was tighty when I checked in the first time I give you guys 10 stars yall professionalism will definitely be acknowledged and appreciated somewhere else....

I am giving this hotel a 2 because it had running water and I could wash my face and the bed was clean. Otherwise, I was sorry I booked here. The building is in disrepair; needs painting and new carpet. The carpet in my room had not been vacuumed. It appeared that the hand towel had been used. Management, please don't repeat the same assurance you have stated in other negative reviews regarding this hotel. You've had plenty of time to correct the same issues I just had. I'm just sorry I failed to read the reviews before I booked. Shame on me!

  • 1/5 Brenda A. 8 months ago on Google
The rooms need to be prepared for guests, ours was not. There were no towels nor a shower curtain. The air conditioner was not working properly leaving the room with high humidity that left the floors wet, not damp. We will never stay there again nor recommend your hotel. When we stated the issues and that we were leaving, the front desk just said ok and proceeded to charge the full cost of the awful room.

Good location, very nice manager from night shift. Morning manager was nice but told me that they changed breakfast hours last minute. The breakfast cook decided to stop making breakfast at 0830 when the hotel policy was that breakfast was until 1000 on Saturdays. She seemed surprised by it as well. Several families were unhappy by this. If you advertise a free breakfast with posted times, you should provide.

Read reviews before you get! Pool burned our eyes, hot tub worked but not hot. We had a moldy smelling room and then got switched to a room that was a tiny better till when we woke up we saw bed bugs!!! Also the bed sheets looked used. There's ants, roaches, didn't bother to look at breakfast because who knows what's crawling on it. Read that the food is expired. And they also issued someone to our room so that family was trying to get into the room. So they had to get that fixed. Anyways please read your reviews even if the price looks nice.

Only two towels available when we had four people, no soap, pool and hot tub were freezing, “continental breakfast” is a lie, and overall looks very dirty. The breakfast consisted of mini cinnamon rolls and mini “croissants.” To call that a continental breakfast is ridiculous. We did not know how to operate the TV and asked at the front desk, apparently only one person on the staff knows how to operate it. In general, the place looks extremely run down. We are very disappointed, as Wyndham Garden hotels are typically a great experience and highly rated.

Truck driver? No problem! I always come here if I have a route in this area. Decent rates with pretty clean rooms. The building seems a little older, but it looks like they keep up with the maintenance fine.

This was the nastiest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The photos in the main post must be a staged room that no one can have. The hotel was in complete disarray, and totally run down. Only one elevator was working but wouldn’t stop on 2nd floor (we of course were on the 2nd floor). The hotel smelled dirty. Our room was so dirty on the floor that I had to clean it just to not smell it. When I asked the front desk for more towels and a spray cleaner to clean our room she didn’t seem surprised and just handed us a spray bottle and towels. The shower curtain was the nastiest thing I’ve ever seen. The bed had things on it I didn’t want to know about. There was pee on the floor and trash. If we didn’t have 5 hours to drive still we would have just continued our drive home. Our room also had ants in the bathroom. Do NOT stay here.

  • 2/5 Eitz Chaim C. 9 months ago on Google
False advertising. The pool and hot tub were not in service. The restaurant is not in service. Continental breakfast is actually a “grab and go” with nothing nutritional. No coffee in the room. Two towels for three people, with one used, wet towel still in the room. Other than that, staff was friendly, beds were comfortable.

My husband and in-laws stayed here during our move after our original hotel reservation canceled on us, so this hotel was a God-send in more ways than one. Everything was clean and comfortable, the breakfast was great, and the customer service was super friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend!

Could have been told that the place was being remodeled. That there was no restaurant also available.. The room was not clean. Blankets had fresh blood on them. They were taken and replaced. This morning upon checking out. I did mention it to the front desk person. She said that I should have gone to the front desk and canceled and go some place else.

We stayed at this hotel a few years back and the customer service from Carolyn, at that time was 5 star. She made us feel like we were family. The room was very clean and stocked with all the soap, shampoo and towels we needed. We’re now back and Carolyn, now General Manager, is still that warm, kind, compassionate professional she was when we were here a years back. Her being is constant as it was a few years ago and that means a great deal to me. Thank you, Carolyn, and your whole team for being great people and for making us feel like a family member. I do want to point out that the rates were affordable and though there’s some remodeling to the rooms, it’s not interfered wit our rest. We’ve enjoyed the self serve breakfast and love that there fresh fruit, please don’t ever stop having fresh fruit. Individuals with diabetes are most thankful for those delicious huge apples!
