Initial
contact
at
check
in
was
fine.
Walked
into
our
room
and
found
debris
ALL
OVER
the
floor
-
dust,
dirt,
Styrofoam
particles,
pleather
pieces
from
the
desk
chair.
As
the
pleather
and
Styrofoam
posed
a
potential
danger
to
my
husband's
seizure
alert
dog,
he
went
to
the
front
desk
to
inquire
about
getting
this
issue
corrected.
A
room
change
was
mentioned
(he
called
me
to
make
sure
that
would
be
ok
with
me)
but
instead
an
employee
was
sent
up
with
a
vacuum.
Said
employee
was
exceedingly
kind
and
apologetic
-
he'd
JUST
gotten
off
work
as
I
was
checking
in,
so
he
wasn't
in
uniform
-
and
made
quick
work
of
cleaning
the
floor.
After
he
left
and
we
got
our
luggage
in
the
room
I
attempted
to
turn
the
television
on.
There
were
2
remotes,
but
ALL
either
of
them
would
do
was
turn
on
the
TV,
with
one
of
the
two
allowing
volume
control.
Nothing
I
did
would
allow
me
to
change
the
channel,
access
the
guide
or
ANY
OTHER
OPTIONS.
After
20
mins
of
fiddling
and
trying
every
option
I
could
conceive,
I
went
to
the
front
desk
and
asked
if
there
was
some
secret
to
operating
the
TV.
The
front
desk
clerk
was
very
abrupt
and
condescending;
said
she'd
send
someone
up.
By
the
time
I
returned
to
the
room,
my
husband
had
done
SOMETHING
that
made
the
controllers
work.
UNFORTUNATELY
he
suffers
seizure
related
memory
issues
and
had
NO
CLUE
what
he'd
done
to
make
the
controllers
work.
Within
seconds
of
this
discovery
the
lady
from
the
front
desk
arrived
and
was
nasty
and
EXCEEDINGLY
CONDESCENDING
treating
us
as
if
we
were
imbeciles.
My
husband
tried
to
explain
that
he
didn't
KNOW
what
he'd
done
to
make
them
work
and
SPECIFICALLY
ASKED
her
to
show
me
how
to
make
them
work
should
it
happen
again.
Her
only
response
was,
"it
works
now,
that's
all
you
need!"
PROBLEM
WAS
that
like
MOST
people
we
turned
the
TV
off
when
going
to
bed.
UNFORTUNATELY
NOT
ALL
GUESTS
think
of
others
and
at
12:30
am,
we
were
awakened
by
INCONSIDERATE
GUESTS
who
were
speaking
loudly
and
allowing
their
dog
to
BARK
ALL
THE
WAY
DOWN
THE
HALL!!
This
of
course,
set
our
dog
off
momentarily.
In
order
to
mitigate
this
happening
again,
I
turned
the
TV
back
on,
at
a
low
volume.
UNFORTUNATELY,
the
controllers
NO
LONGER
WORKED
ONCE
AGAIN,
so
I
was
unable
to
change
the
channel.
A
Fast
&
Furious
movie
was
playing
(Tokyo
Drift)
so
the
sound
-
despite
being
at
a
lower
level
-
continued
to
fluctuate
with
the
change
of
scenes!!
I
was
AGAIN
awakened
at
3:21
a.m.
when
another
contingent
of
guests
decided
to
continue
their
"party"
all
the
way
down
the
hardwood
floor
(NO
NOISE
DAMPENING)
hallway!!!
When
you
are
the
only
driver
in
the
family
and
you
have
another
FULL
DAY
OF
DRIVING
AHEAD
OF
YOU,
the
LAST
THING
you
want
or
NEED
is
CONTINUAL
INTERRUPTION
OF
YOUR
SLEEP!!!
FIVE
MINUTES
of
the
front
desk
clerks
time
and
SOME
of
this
issue
could
have
been
avoided!!
I
mentioned
this
issue
to
the
Hotel
Manager
-
who
was
very
apologetic
and
even
offered
refreshments
as
an
apology.
Ultimately,
though
a
thoughtful
gesture,
the
behavior
of
the
clerk
and
admonishment
to
late
visitors
to
be
mindful
of
others
SHOULD
HAVE
ALREADY
been
a
matter
of
course.
