Booked using Hilton points. When we checked in on the app we picked a room about 5 hours before our arrival. First floor since we have kids and they have heavy feet. When we showed up the room was no longer available. Front desk told us the app isn't accurate for their location. No big deal took our 3rd floor room. When we showed to our room the linens were in a pile in the hallway. The shower and bathroom had not been cleaned and the floor had not been vacuumed. We let the front desk know and they said they would have it fixed. When we returned after dinner the room was still a mess. Front desk said their maids had left for the day and gave us cleaner so we cleaned our own shower and toilet. Luckily the bed had already been made with clean sheets. They told us they would work a refund when their manager came in the morning. When we checked out the manager was not there and the front desk told us would be refunded all our points back when they came in. We left for a 7 day cruise and when we got back contacted the hotel again since we had not been refunded. They said the manager had to do that and to call back the next day. When we called back the manager said they could only refund half the points. At that point we were just tired of dealing with this location so we said fine. That was on the 11th. We have tried multiple times with this location to get our points refunded and still nothing. We have filed a formal complaint now with Hilton Corporate to try and get this resolved. Years of using Hilton properties all around the globe and have never had an issue like this before. Last time I was given a dirty room at a Hilton property I had a refund before I checked out. The front desk clerks were nice and eager to help. This is entirely a management/owner issue. Avoid this location.

I travel almost every week. Almost every week, I stay at a Hilton property somewhere on this planet. Hilton has gone cheap. They have cut out all of the amenities that a business traveler like me had come to rely on to stay comfortable while we literally live on their properties. They blame the pandemic, but that is BS. This particular property is the exception. The pool was open. The fitness center was open. The breakfast was open and fully stocked. The hotel was clean, and well appointed. This has become a rarity on Hilton properties. The local owner on this particular property apparently gets it. Thank you local Hilton franchise owner for your efforts. This is my second time at this property, and it is one of the better ones. <mike drop>… 😎

We stayed here the night before our cruise out of Galveston. We got the reservation last minute due to the interstate being shut down for construction the day of our cruise. The accommodations and breakfast were good, and the price wasn’t bad. If you’re looking for a basic, clean hotel, this is a great place.

Literally worst hotel we’ve ever stayed at. First the location was terrible due to construction (not their fault), second at checkin they charge a 25% fee for booking through a 3rd party ( booked through our credit card for a discount but discount was negated and ended up being more expensive with the fee). The room smelled like smoke and wasn’t clean. Somehow the high ceilings were dirty? Walls were dirty, and the counters were dirty, the bedding smelled like cigarette smoke. The walls were tore up in the first floor hallway. The staff was friendly but somehow didn’t have anything extra. I asked for extra towels and extra bedding (for the pullout couch) they only had an extra blanket, no sheets… they gave me two extra towels. There was a dead bird in the parking lot for at least 3 days… the washing machines didn’t work in the laundry area. Overall wasn’t worth the money, I don’t recommend and will not be booking here again.

The best hotel stay I’ve had in a long time! From check-in to check-out everything was wonderful! Every member of staff (front desk, maintenance, the woman who does breakfast) was extremely kind, helpful and welcoming! The linens were crazy soft, I didn’t want to get up! Both elevators were functional and very quick which is rare these days and so appreciated. The rooms are very spacious and include a full size refrigerator/freezer, 4 person dining table, and full size sink. There are so many great breakfast options-hot or cold. Plenty of parking even at night and well lit. Even though the hotel is located right off a major interstate the sound of vehicles was never heard from inside the building. 10/10! Love this Home2Suites and will be back!

It was a very pleasant overnight stay. The room was up to date, comfortable, and clean bedding and furniture. The Kitchenette was clean and stocked. The bathroom was clean, and the shower was decently clean. In our experience and observation, the front desk staff welcomed all guests, speaking to everyone who came in and out (saying, "Good morning or hello, and have a good day"). The front desk representative, Alexus, stood out as she served attentively to the Guests and the lobby conditions to be aware of customers needing assistance. We appreciate a comfortable hotel stay in addition to witnessing and experiencing this joyful service. Please keep up the excellent service. Abundant Blessings. ***Constructive feedback would be for Hilton Hotel property ownership to provide extended showerhead arms in the showers; this might help housekeepers and guest with cleaning showers best.

Rooms were a tad dirty. Restroom not clean. i stayed here for four nights the room is big overall though. They clean the rooms every other day but they do not change the sheets or bedding they just make the bed up (i know this because there was a stain on my sheets from a previous guest and it was still there when they came to “clean the room”. The covers smell like cigarette smoke and the floors need to be vacuumed. Oh and there was a roach by my bed. The front desk representatives are very friendly.

Large and clean room, with mini kitchen. Breakfast was great, variety of selections to choose from. My kids enjoyed breakfast sandwiches. Staff at the counter was also friendly and helpful when we arrived on 11/25 evening. The only thing we didn’t quite like is the bathroom. The door is big and blocks the sink completely so we would have to step to the side of the toilet and then close the door in order to get to the sink.

1,000,000 percent don’t EVER stay here during the Lone Star Biker Rally. We had no idea this event was happening and came here the night before our cruise out Galveston. They are loud, rude and generally have no manners. The noise pollution lasted all night. Music blasting, revving engines at 1am. Not the hotel’s fault, but just be aware. The property itself was newer, customer service was good and the room was nice.

Unfortunately They are in the middle of major road construction and all the problems around it, dust, noise, signage from the road and no obvious marker to turn into the hotel. Gps should get you there easily. Aside from that, The rooms are very nice, large and accessible. Once inside the building the noise and dust is not an issue. Staff is friendly, helpful and welcoming. It is a newer hotel with pleasant atmosphere and clean from parking lot to room

I stayed here for a single night just to enjoy the beach. The hotel lobby itself is nice but the room is the center of the attention of course. My first impressions were pretty good until I realized it wasn't deeply clean. The ice holder was dirty all around, the microwave had old food inside, the bed sheets were dirty and needed to be stripped, and the floors looked unsweeped and carpet unkept. The breakfast was rather nice and the waffle maker was amazing. The person in charge of the night was amazing as well, he answered our calls almost immediately and was attentive to our calls. I believe his name was Alexis but I'm not sure. Overall it was not bad but I would not stay here for more than a night, there needs to be major changes to housekeeping before considering this hotel again.

It was very terrible, the rooms was dirty, had to change and make our own beds upon checking in after entering our rooms. The bathroom was dirty and had hair in the shower and around the tolet. Slept with no comforters for two of the four days my grandchildren was miserable at night . Made a complaint the first day within 10 minutes of arrival and entering the room and till we checkout we still wasn’t able to talk to a manager not did they try to reach out and talk to us about our issues we was having. We felt as if they was avoiding us instead of offering up a apology or to help correct out on the spot.

I stayed at this hotel the first time last year and was very happy with our stay. In April we booked this same hotel because of our past experience and this time was a different experience… we arrived on April 15th to check in, and was told that there was a power outage. The front desk lady said that it went out earlier in the afternoon, and stated that it is out AGAIN (they had power outage the week before too) but this time it’s taking some time for them to get the power back up. This is at 6pm in the evening on a holiday weekend. It was my husband and I, and three kids. Driving 5 hours, and No place to stay. The lady at the front desk gave me a phone # to the power company to check when the power would come back up. She told me it said 6pm which was the time we got there. I called, and it said 11pm! At this point I had no choice but to find another hotel. The lady up front said hotel would not charge a cancellation fee Since power was out, and we could not check in. We finally found another hotel thankfully, but I still got charged for a cancellation fee when I was told I would get that credited. I understood that the power outage was not the hotels fault, but refunding your customers should be something they should take care of. I booked through booking.com and the hotel wanted me to contact booking.com for something that the hotel charged me. So they are passing off this responsibility to someone else. This tells me that they do not value their customers. This whole refund process has been nothing but a headache, and a back and forth. Finally I get a email saying that I would get a refund within 15 days. So I waited the 15 days that they said it would take to get my refund. Which I already think 15 days is a crazy amount of time to be refunded for something that was not my fault. It has now been over a month! Still no refund. Still no reply from the hotel….I will never stay at this hotel again. This situation could of been handled differently.

A refreshingly positive experience! Alexis, the GM, and her staff are stellar in their customer care delivery. I would recommend this location to anyone! There is a beautiful pool, new gas grills, super clean interior and grounds, a well-stocked breakfast with many choices, free WiFi, cable and a big-screen TV with perfect picture. I could go on and on, but I'll give others a chance to brag on their behalf :) Shari Savage

The building and parking are good. The gym is enough for a short stay. The breakfast is very basic - muffins, fruit, waffles, omelets in a plastic bag (which really aren't too bad). Don't look for hash browns or bacon because it ain't there. One morning there was cereal but no milk. Another morning the OJ machine failed and after that, no more OJ. They only clean your room if you request it the night before. We did this, but the room still didn't get cleaned. No water in the gym water machine for at least 4 days. No clean-up of used cups in the gym for at least 4 days. Heck, even I'm the one who reset the gym clock to daylight savings several days after the date. I guess staff never go into the gym? The place looks like it's run by very young people, who dress like they are in high school (ripped jeans, letterman jackets), and who probably are paid very little by the company. I'm sure they do a decent job, but many details are overlooked and I doubt there is anyone there who is truly invested in the hotel. Stay at the hotel for it's location and convenience and price and newness. That's about it.

Me and my 4 year old stayed 4 nights here and we LOVED it! My son ended up getting super sick for 24 hours and the staff was amazing, brought me clean towels, sheets and blankets several times within that 24 hours and they were always super friendly and helpful. Never made me feel like I was asking for too much! (Because I know I probably was) The breakfast was awesome too, wide variety and I don't usually like hotel coffee but the coffee was really good. Definitely recommend this hotel!
