I
stayed
at
this
hotel
the
first
time
last
year
and
was
very
happy
with
our
stay.
In
April
we
booked
this
same
hotel
because
of
our
past
experience
and
this
time
was
a
different
experienceâŚ
we
arrived
on
April
15th
to
check
in,
and
was
told
that
there
was
a
power
outage.
The
front
desk
lady
said
that
it
went
out
earlier
in
the
afternoon,
and
stated
that
it
is
out
AGAIN
(they
had
power
outage
the
week
before
too)
but
this
time
itâs
taking
some
time
for
them
to
get
the
power
back
up.
This
is
at
6pm
in
the
evening
on
a
holiday
weekend.
It
was
my
husband
and
I,
and
three
kids.
Driving
5
hours,
and
No
place
to
stay.
The
lady
at
the
front
desk
gave
me
a
phone
#
to
the
power
company
to
check
when
the
power
would
come
back
up.
She
told
me
it
said
6pm
which
was
the
time
we
got
there.
I
called,
and
it
said
11pm!
At
this
point
I
had
no
choice
but
to
find
another
hotel.
The
lady
up
front
said
hotel
would
not
charge
a
cancellation
fee
Since
power
was
out,
and
we
could
not
check
in.
We
finally
found
another
hotel
thankfully,
but
I
still
got
charged
for
a
cancellation
fee
when
I
was
told
I
would
get
that
credited.
I
understood
that
the
power
outage
was
not
the
hotels
fault,
but
refunding
your
customers
should
be
something
they
should
take
care
of.
I
booked
through
booking.com
and
the
hotel
wanted
me
to
contact
booking.com
for
something
that
the
hotel
charged
me.
So
they
are
passing
off
this
responsibility
to
someone
else.
This
tells
me
that
they
do
not
value
their
customers.
This
whole
refund
process
has
been
nothing
but
a
headache,
and
a
back
and
forth.
Finally
I
get
a
email
saying
that
I
would
get
a
refund
within
15
days.
So
I
waited
the
15
days
that
they
said
it
would
take
to
get
my
refund.
Which
I
already
think
15
days
is
a
crazy
amount
of
time
to
be
refunded
for
something
that
was
not
my
fault.
It
has
now
been
over
a
month!
Still
no
refund.
Still
no
reply
from
the
hotelâŚ.I
will
never
stay
at
this
hotel
again.
This
situation
could
of
been
handled
differently.
