Hangout place for many in Thane. Good Place to go for walk. There are many activities around the Upavan Lake. You get all kind of food near this place. Pedal Boating option is available Swimming in the lake is not recommended as it has snakes in it. Cleanliness is the responsibility of every individual visiting this place. People throw waste generated from food items that they eat and throw the wrappers around the lake which gets in to lake water eventually.

Nice and soothing experience with the lake view and fresh air! We also experienced boating in the lake for ₹75 per person for 30 minutes and it was worth the calmness.. We also did enjoy the cool n fresh breeze coming atop the lake surface which just makes the mind happy 😊 It also has a separate area where couples can spend their own time in the evening doing things A great place in Thane for photo shoots, relaxation and spending a quality time with your loved ones 🥰

Place has pleasent vibes specially on monsoon. No wonder it is lovers paradise as there was couples everywhere There's little food court you can say where snacks, pav bhaji, pizza etc you can eat while having view of Lake. All snacks are costly but some are tasty as well. Good for relaxing.

Upvan Lake by far is one of the nice hangout spots in Thane. It's quite huge size wise and there is a nice lake side view made. The monsoon ensures that the lake is full and it looks quite touristy. Some locals find a spot and also carry out fishing. The lake is situated amidst the high rises so lucky those people who get a nice lake view in the urban jungle. There are a lot of eating joints at the lake front and also a temple and food court. Evenings they also have a light show. Due to eating joints there are a lot of people strolling and enjoying here. This again means a lot of garbage in the Lake. Now if you are reading this and do end up going here, please try and not to litter the Lake. It's a beautiful place, let us make a small effort to keep it so and ensure that we don't litter in the water. There are a lot of dust bins provided use them. Keep the place clean. The place is great for spending good and hassle free time besides the lake. The upvan lake is vast and have very few activities to carry out there. It's the best place for having morning walk and taking fresh air the environment here is quite open but it's quite a journey from Thane Station to here. Although it's not highly decorated lake the nature of the lake looks beautiful within itself.

Evening many people visit this place for refreshing. There is boating as well. There is Big Shiva Statue at the corner. This is famous lake in the surrounding locality. There is Ganapati Temple beside the lake. Place is easy to locate. There is ample parking space for 4 wheelers. Best time to visit is in the evenings.

Good size lake within city still under development but has great potential to become an attractive destination. There many eateries surrounded lake & street . If going for morning walk do try the vegetables juices probably the only one in Thane city. There is boating facilities & place is quite popular among the love birds. The cleanliness of lake is poor. Water level is adequate during monsoon & start lowering post monsoon. Need to work hard on maintaining the water adequate throughout the year with special efforts on cleaning the lake as well.

75 Rs per person for half n hour boat ride at upvan lake..Water was little dirty recommended not to dip your hands inside..varieties of small shops where you can eat enjoying the lake view..A huge Mahadev Structure Which will give you peace..Seek blessings of Mahadev ..This has a distance from Thane station you will have to take an auto to reach there, there are sharing auto available.

Upvan lake may be one of the 9 lakes maintained well, but it is the best for an evening to spend. Easily accessible from all over Thane, well maintained and the cool breeze in the evening rejuvenate you. There is a good walking track for those who want to enjoy walking, there is boating facility for entertaining children and newly wed! You will see senior citizens having their "gupshup" and enjoying each others company. Also you will see young couples enjoying their "happy" moments outside their homes, also "couples to be" understanding each other. It is very active place. There are many eateries of various tastes, you will see them crowded , a place where common man have a good meal.

It's the best place

The place is very nice. Very blissful and peaceful but the crowd is not so good couples visit this place most often. It is far away from Thane station. Upvan is clean. Be aware of monkeys near the entrance. there are many stalls to eat. But is very costly. Washroom is also there. You can park car roadside. I don't recommend you to come with family. You can come there with friends and chill and celebrate. Thank you.
