What an amazing experience! A well run and well executed operation from beginning to end. The interpretive trail beginning with the journey into the gorge via the lift is out of this world. The boardwalk and suspension bridges that guide you through the prehistoric forest is incredible. The walkway has wonderfully educational information boards dotted along the way. One could spend an entire day on the trail and not get bored. Toilet facilities were spotless, staff were friendly and efficient. I will definitely be returning!

Awesome world class facility. We waited for a clear day and it was worth every penny! Highly recommended. Love the market, shops, reception displays, clean toilets, the views, the falls... The lift is impressive, then one just gets blown away along the pristine boardwalks and swing bridges, by the sights and sounds of the forest, the falls, river and the streams. It's a BIG WOW. Prepare to spend more time here than planned for!

A must do! Lots to learn and to experience. The waterfall is spectacular. The forest is out of this world. Will definitely be coming back to do the swing and zip line. When going in they don't allow you to go back out if you forgot anything in the car. You can beg and plead, you have to pay to go back out. So don't forget your jackets or anything you might need.

Unfortunately, the weather was not cooperative- it was drizzling and so misty but that's not a problem if you're doing the Big Swing. The mist is just a blanket at the top, once you fall through, you get to see the beautiful Waterfall and forest. Would highly recommend it as a day activity

Very lovely place to visit. Even Paying entrance you get your money's worth. Went on the zip line. I couldn't do the big swing because of the time slot was late. Would recommend booking online for that to avoid queues.

3 things to do in the area. Visit pilgrims rest, God's window and take the lift at the Graskop Gorge down to the rain forest and walk the trail. Absolutely worth it and 1st world.

Wow, what an experience!!!! We went down the lift and took the walk at the bottom of the gorge. It was so beautiful down there. Seeing the waterfall up close was breathtaking. The suspension bridge was fun. And some brave ones did the zip lines and some very brave ines did the swing down the waterfall. Spectacular scenery. Definitely a must.

What can I say this was amazing to view from the top and to go down the loft and do the walk. Absolutely amazing a must see. R65 entrance fee and it was R180 per person to go down. The big swing and zipline is on another level. A must try when you there.

World Class & Really Enjoyable. Book on line in advance as it gets really busy. Very Interesting and Beautiful at the Bottom. The Lift Restaurant was disappointing. I think they might be too busy and not coping with the Number of Visitors.

Awesome views and great food at the Lift Cafe! Going down the lift to the forest opens up a shortish walk that shows and sums up the beautiful landscape of the Graskop area. A MUST when spending some time close to the Kruger area. Highly recommend it here!

What an awesome experience we had at Graskop Gorge Lift Co. All the adventure activities in such such close proximity from Mbombela, I will definitely come back to try the zipline. The walk over the suspension bridge in itself is an experience and not for the faint hearted but it is well worth it. The whole layout is awesome and you get beautiful views of the gorge from so many angles. The view from the lift platform is so beautiful and make for great pics. The restaurant is a definite must, we had almost all their pizzas on the menu and the were all delicious and went down well with beers and ciders from the local breweries. Come visit on your next trip, you won't be disappointed

The botanical gardens are very beautiful and interesting to see, as well as watching the people jump with the big swing. In my opinion, the place is a bit overpriced. The Gorge Lift was fun although the windows of the lift were a bit dirty so we couldn't see out very well. There is a restaurant to grab a bite to eat although service was not the best and the menu was a bit limited. There are also a few vendors at the entrance where you can buy a few locally made items. Overall not a bad experience, just a few things that they could improve on. Lots of things to do here for a fun family day out.

R225 to go down with the glass lift into the gorge and walk around in the forest. Absolutely beautiful! Dense forest walk with waterfalls and birds chirping! Watch as the people swing over the gorge at the coffee shop!

Great experience. The giant swing is so much fun. Definitely not as bad as we build up in our heads. The Cafe serves great confidence boosters too.

A great adventure place, the swing is fantastic, it definitely satisfies the adrenaline rush. The suspension bridge and lift is a fun experience. The rain forest could have had a lot more signage and more information, it's a great idea but lacks information, there were a few plants we couldn't find any information on.

Experience being surrounded by ancient trees and plants deep in the gorge with the comfort of wooden walkways. See and hear the running waters of the river, the singing of birds and be guided by panels with stories of the ecology. Fascinating and tranquil surroundings. Well worth a visit.

Wow! This was the highlight of the holiday! The experience is out of this world. It is a fairy forest of wonderland once you go down the lift. The creativeness and innovation of the route is amazing! You learn so much about the fauna and flora. You can spend an hour standing still, and there are so many plants and insects, you still won't see them all! Your eyes and head actually hurt after spending so much time down there trying to witness the beauty of nature. The construction of the lift and pathway melt so well into the forest that it almost seem as if it should be there. A small disappointment is the artificial mushrooms and added decor to the forest. It feels a bit invasive to the natural beauty. Photos don't justify the true beauty of the 500 shades of green! You MUST witness it in person! This was a remarkable visit, and can't wait to go again!

Beautiful, clean and full of life. The team is awesome kept everyone entertained with music and dancing. The crew double checks the harnesses every 5mins while you wait for your turn to jump. Was a beautiful birthday gift to experience the Big swing. Food was great, they way we ordered. Friendly staff all around. Some saw me the next day in morning as I went for my walk and they recognized me from the swing and greeted me. Will definitely come back again.

From our arrival until we left a few hours later we enjoyed every moment. This is a must visit in Graskop. Well managed, save parking, a number of shops and restaurants. The king swing, suspension bridge the lift the walk ways and trail was an experience. Everything well maintained. Last but not least the view of the gorge with the waterfall was the best. I can recommend a visit to the gorge lift.... a bit expensive specially for a family. Note: No cash accepted only card payments.

A recreational area nestled in gorgeous lush landscape. It has a descending glass lift into the gorge my gosh it’s absolutely stunning. There is a suspension bridge that takes to the Big swing where all the adrenaline adventure happens. There is a zip line as well where you can enjoy the view. There restaurants on site plus different stores where you can buy various things such as artefacts, garments and sculptures. Enjoyed the Big swing since am sort of an adrenaline junk would definitely do it again and again.

The children and I had a blast at this place. A wonderful gorge with so many things to do and see. It was supposed to be a quick stop while doing the panorama route and we eventually spent 2 hours there. The kids did the zipline, I did the jump work the swing. Amazing experiment. It is definitely worth a visit.

A stunning place in Graskop. The entire facility is very well run and exceptionally clean and tidy. We took the lift down the 51 meters and did the walk along the walkway. Truly amazing. We did not do the zipline or the swing !!

Everything about the place is fabulous from the pizzas to the hot chocolate, amazing views all round. Not forgetting the big swing and zipline. To name a few. The forest below is amazing walking along wooden bridges along the waterfall.

Five amazing stars. Driving through the dying town of Graskop, I wasn’t holding much hope for the well advertised gorge. But, was I wrong! This is another example of why tourism should be left to private businesses. Well done guys

What a beautiful place. We had so much fun doing the Zipline and the Big Swing. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The Big Swing was so exhilirating and fun, definitely worth doing if you are a thrill seeker! Free falling next to a waterfall is such a awesome feeling. Lift Cafe's food was also lovely.

We were looking forward to our 1st visit. The weather was not looking to great but we decided to go in , not realising once you pass turnstiles you have to pay an entry fee and an additional cost to go down the lift No one advised us that visibility was non existent. This could have been done before we even went in. A bit of a rip off and definitely not customer oriented The setting looked really nice so it was a huge disappointment that we couldn't see anything Some people still zip lined and did big swing but were invisible once they left the platform

Fun experience. Big tourist destination, even out of peak season it's full. Zipline, swing and forest experience. There's a cafe there with a wide variety of meals. Worth the visit.

  • 5/5 Ronel Van Der M. 5 months ago on Google
Awesome awesome awesome. Did the zip lining, and really enjoyed ourselves. Took the lift to the bottom of the 'forest' and walked all along the wooden walkways. A lot to learn about nature. Beautiful place to visit ... a MUST to visit.

We had an amazing experience going down in the Gorge. Staff was so friendly and helpful, and the walk down in the Gorge was sooo beautiful. Words or pictures can not really describe it. The plant life and the waterfall are just wow. The swing bridges created a lot of excitement. Thanks, Graskop Gorge. It was an experience that I will treasure.

Definitely a must! This was our last stop of the Panorama Route and what an incredible way to end an incredible trip! I recommend saving this one for last. Do try the rainforest and lift experience - it's SO worth it. If you're feeling brave, you can also go for the zip line and big swing experiences. We had loads of fun!

Lovely setting. Rides are good. Safety standards are non negotiable and that’s good. We all did the big swing and it was lovely. Entrance charges too high for nothing. Charging for entrance is understandable but that needs to be reimbursed into if we take a ride or buy something inside. Food at restaurant is not good, they should look into it as people spend half a day in there.

A stunning location. The facilities are world class. The swing bridge across is awesome. The zip line was used by my son and the big swing by daughter. Both were well run. The video my daughter ordered had no sound unfortunately, not sure why and no USB stick as advertised. The admission price is not included in the 2 options. All in a worthwhile experience watching others jump off platforms and enjoying some spectacular scenery.

Stunning venue, well run. It's just a pity people scream and shout. I'm not talking about the person doing the bungee jumping. The forest walk is the most amazing. Totally different world down there in the gorge. Loved every minute!

If you can tolerate the pothole ridden roads of the ANC, this place is a magical, clean and well maintained forest with a waterfall as a bonus. Amazing gorge views and one of kind glass lift that takes you to the bottom of the gorge, where you get an injection of fresh oxygen to start your mini hike with, over swing bridges and decked out pathways. You also get a boost of education of the local flora, insects and animals with some entertaining info boards along the path. Hidden gem of South Africa.
