The Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre, Colombo, is an Indian Cultural Centre of Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR). It was established in 1998 under the aegis of High Commission of India with the aim of building bridges of cultural exchange, to revive and strengthen cultural relations and mutual understanding between India and Sri Lanka. It seeks to promote India-Sri Lanka cultural co-operation by building on cultural commonalities, people to people contact and creating an awareness of Indian culture in all facets.

Place is a full of activities. Very friendly staff. They have many classes like Hindi, yoga, music like wise.

Great show! Very good auditorium! Excellent facility provided by the High Commission of India. The seats were excellent, audio impeccable (and I'm an audiophile), comfortable seats and good air-conditioning. Parking was available behind the Indian Cultural Centre and loads of on street parking too. Staff was courteous and helpful.

Lovely place to be in touch with the Indian Roots in Sri Lanka. Much of the cultural events are celebrated in conjunction with the High Commission of India. Understand the centre conducts classes for dance, yoga and other cultural activities. Located conveniently on Gregory's Road a bit away from the hustle & bustle of the main road.
