I really loved the Ice cream they served me yesterday. I ordered a chocolate Ice cream. In a small cup . He gives the ice cream quickly . I really want to tell about the shop. It's small there is only 4 chairs to sit and I don't feel the comfortable to sit . The table is attached to the wall and it's very small . I think they build the table only for ice cream. The Ice cream cost me 750 Rupees. It's to high for that . Because I ordered a small cup of ice cream. Other Ice cream shops will not cost like this (in my visits)He didn't tell the price I payed for that by card. But the ice cream taste is good. Overall I'll recommend to buy ice cream on this shop because of the taste .

The place is next to Pastamania. Small place with few seats. Many varieties of ice cream is available. The staff is very friendly and even though the place looks small, they accept VISA and Master Cards. The staff lets you try the flavors beforehand, therefore the customer can choose the flavor they like. Worth the money. They offer different kinds of cones and cups.

I never recommend this place. The ice creams are very expensive but the taste and potions are average. You can find better delicious ice cream in other places with good price.

Il Gelato serves arguably the best Italian gelato ice cream in the city with a range of flavors including a couple of new additions recently. Staff extends a friendly service and the ambiance is quite compact as the outlet itself is smaller with limited seating facilities. They do not have dedicated parking space and the most practical option would be to use the Queens road for parking purposes. Prices seems moderate and its absolutely worth the spend.

Still a great place for Gelato icecream. They don't have all the awesome flavours they used to, but they do have some good ones like Belgium chocolate, pistachios, hazelnut etc. I hope they can bring back the coconut flavour.

A cozy ice cream shop located close to Pastamania and does not have any dedicated parking space. The store is clean and has a minimalistic atmosphere. However, there is a limited choice of ice cream flavours to choose from, but their cones are crunchy and come in different varieties. The customer service was good, but there is barely any seating space available. Also, the prices are probably a bit expensive, but most of their ice cream flavours are wonderful to indulge.

They offer a diverse selection of ice creams. The prices are a bit high (I've attached the price list with the photos). Seating is adequate for around four people. The interior atmosphere is clean and neat. While it might not be feasible to afford their prices regularly, it's a good option for an occasional treat.

The potion that you are getting for the amount you play is less. And the ice cream is not that tasty.

Unfortunately no parking available Some time staff is not helpful but majority of them are really good. Limited space available inside n sometimes it gets really crowded. We went to the cafe. It's very very small. 2 tables. Gelato was Ok, not that good. Coffee also they do via capsules. So not as good as beans

The best Italian ice cream in Colombo. Best coffee beans from Italy to make coffee varaities. First floor with ice cream parlor & the second floor got ranges of Italian products. Very kind & friendly staff. Reasonable price for the products in the store.

This is just the personal view. Just drop in here if you want to try different flavors of ice-cream. It was okay. Not that great. Good atmosphere and service.

Good for a quick ice cream taste after your meal. The choices are limited. But offers quality stuff for a reasonable price. There are two tables to eat inside aswell. The sales guy is a friendly person. Tried the Oreo, mint icecreams, they were pretty good.

It was 9.00 pm on children's day and, carnival ice cream which is our usual stop refused to take us in even after telling them we had two kids below 8 on board and had traveled nearly 14 km to treat them. This was amidst a police curfew at 10pm and plenty of customers inside. Il gelato came to our rescue and were very professional and friendly in their service. This will surely be our choice hence forth!! Well done and thank you il gelato

A nice small place with variety of ice creams. What I mostly like is the customer service . They are super helpful. The place has o my limited seating area and it’s not crowded at all. The place is clean too. So I ordered a sandwich ice cream. They have standard sandwich ice cream which comes with vanilla ice cream. The one in the picture was a customized one.

Flavours simply melts you. Limited space though . No parking space.Could do wonders if they have more outlets. Good customer care.

Great for coffee and ice cream

Been to this establishment 2 times. The first time was excellent service, the second time on 06/05/22, the seller was impolite and not customer oriented. When I ordered a small ice cream for a child and asked him to give him several flavors, he refused and offered to pay for a Big ice cream, since a small portion cannot be divided. When I was in a similar establishment in Galle, the nice sales people did what the customers wanted. As a result, the seller refused to give different tastes, gave one serving, although he could just give two different tastes but a half. Ruined the mood. Also, very limited flavors, other places have more choices.

The "Il Gelato" (Italian) which literally translates to "the ice cream" in English, is an Italian ice cream vendor with several outlets around the island. The one opposite the British council in Colombo 3 is a small place with about two tables for about 4-5 people. There are Italian pasta and sauces available to buy as well. We had the coffee ice cream which was very much "coffee-yy" and bitter, The milk and cookies ice cream which is simply vanilla ice cream with cookies in it, the caramel and almond ice cream, which had a very strong almond taste in it, and stracciatella, which is a milk-based ice cream filled with fine, irregular shavings of chocolate. Good service, the sales guy patiently waited till we decided. You can buy the ice cream scoop in a cup or in a cone. Better buy it in a cup if you are planning to take it away. It's somewhat expensive, understandably.

While there flavours are super.. they have reduced they size of the scoops 😭hence the 3 stars.. Flavour wise will give it a 5

Tried Il Gelato over 10 years ago and tried it again last night for nostalgia. Just nope. The flavours are super bland. Especially for the price you pay. We got some Brownie flavour, Belgium Chocolate and Salted Caramel. Only the salted caramel was decent. The brownie just tasted like flecks of sand and the chocolate didn't even taste like chocolate.

Favorite ice cream place in Colombo. Less sugar content.

This place is a bit expensive, 1000LKR managable for two people. They have nice flavours. try out their passion fruit gelato

Extremely high prices 700 for a tiny cup. Even in Europe the balance is better. Caramel Pumpkin or the City Center mall top floor are better options if you want great italian icecream.
