Good restaurant in Thanjavur when it comes to ambience and service. It's more expensive than most other highly rated restaurants in Thanjavur. The food is good, but nothing unique or special, just what you would expect from a typical restaurant. Location is convenient and there is ample parking.

Great choice of food, both Indian and non-Indian. The food was delicious, good ambience, and courteous staff. The portion served was too big fir one person. They had live Tamil classical musical performers during dinner which was great. Certainly good place to taste food.

How can this be the best restaurant in Thanjavur? For the price of 600 rupees per person, the food is EXTREMELY AVERAGE. The only item that tasted good was the Phulka and the Pasta. In fact, there weren’t many options to choose from at all. There were other complaints too. There was a stone in their special Coriander pepper soup, mosquitoes in the custard, flies on the fruit salad etc. I don’t recommend going here, it’s a waste of your money.

The Food we had enjoyed at the time of regale. It was really succulent taste with great quality, everything had unique taste which we had ordered, nice arrangement and services from the staff while eating, we plan nothing bad about this hotel.

I see a consistency in quality which is very impressive. Nevertheless the existence of pandemic they offer top-notch stuff. They set a bench mark and continuously improve. Staff are courteous and well disciplined. All these factors enthuse me to visit more frequently.

The food is too average for a hotel like this. Price doesn’t matter when the food tastes good but here we feel like paying huge amount for a bland (even the spiciest food was) and flavourless food. Ordered few veg and non veg starters which was so average, even we returned one of the starters and ended up having main course in a normal hotel. Pathetic experience. Might be good for stay but huge NO for the restaurant.

I had a very disappointing experience. I came here because of the buffet, where I can find usually fresh fruit and veg and avoid allergens. When I arrived, I asked about the buffet and was told it was only at breakfast. So being tired I ordered from the menu, explaining to the waiter 4 ingredients to exclude from my order of grilled vegetables. The order came including two of those ingredients, that I asked to avoid. They put in items that are not vegetable, fruit and cheese. The vegetables which the waiter had listed to me - cauliflower and potatoes- were not included. The food didn’t appear grilled but covered in oil. For this just ok meal and a small soda I paid over Rs.700 After I started eating the waiters suddenly stocked the buffet. Had they not misled me, I could have waited a few minutes and eaten the food I wanted.

Be it stay or food I prefer Sangam whenever I visit Tanjore. I never tried other major outlets. Part of my first visit, I tried this hotel for stay and food. From then on this is the only option considering the satisfaction I got here. Front desk ppl is so helpful and courteous.

Had an excellent Sunday lunch at this place. The chicken drumsticks and Mutton biriyani was great. The fish items were also very nice. Overall buffet spread was great with several vegetarian items and multiple non vegetarian items including eggs ,fish, chicken and mutton. They also had multiple bread options , different salads , juice and other mocktails and several types of desserts. The ambience of the place is great and very prompt service of clearing away dirty plates. There was no charge for the kid.

After futile efforts to have lunch in the busy market place we drove to Hotel Sangam's restaurant Thillana. Have seen good reviews about this place and I could personally experience it. Our order was simple pure Veg, cream of brocoli soup, penne pasta with white sauce, bisebella bath and few ice cream for desserts. All these were pretty tasty. I never thought pasta to be this tasty in Thanjavur. Special mention to the hospitality of the person (think Mr. Suresh) who served our table. Would gladly come back if I visit this side of town.

The ambience is probably worth the price you pay. Authentic, south indian restaurant flocked by the foreigners. Food was good though the service wasn't that great. All our orders took quite some time to come, even idlies! But the ambience makes it up for that.

Food was good. We had ordered chicken ghee roast which could have been better and more authentic. Restaurant ambience and service is good.

The food was very good..especially the chicken sausages I cannot forget..those were crispy outside and soft inside..too good it was..was decent in terms of variety also..we had complimentary buffet. The tables were spacious..although it could have been better if there were few more staffs to take care of the specialized orders.. On the whole the experience was very good.

Lunch served on banana leaf at the Bangala just redefines heritage food. It's rich in freshness, innovation and expertise...not in terms of masala or fat. Dishes ranged from simple ones such as beans poriyal / chow chow kootu to melt-in-the-mouth paneer cutlet and veg biriyani with soy kofta. Non veg dishes were very good i was told. Oh, for the vegetarians, there was a vegetarian 'fish fry' too. Very special spread, well worth your money and time...do catch the lunch even if you aren't staying at the Bangala. The space is beautifully curated too.

Muti-cuisine restaurant located within Sangam hotels, Thanjavur. Had a dinner here. They serve chettinadu, North Indian, continental and Chinese cuisine. Good place for a family get-togther and not an apt place if you want to enjoy the meal with a sip of beer. The place is too lit to be a mellow place.

It's just a comfortable place. But the total experience was bad. Food was horrible. Idly was sour. Ther serving people were inconsiderate and we couldn't have a pleasant time. If you are new, please avoid this place.
