Visited after 6 years. Same taste is there with good service. Paratta was fabulous. Like to meet the owner one day. I tasted the non 1st in my life at Sathars only in 2012.

Good food and service. The panner 65 was great, same for the egg biryani. We were a table of 11, everybody enjoyed the food and time there. The bakery dowstairs, attached to the restaurant, was also yummy.

Sathars is my childhood favourite… but now its in a pathetic condition… they are still having the same menu (literally the same)! Also the chairs/wall/interiors/glasses are dirty… food was very average considering the high cost… very bad experience… they have no intention to attract customers…

Service: The servers feel like doing charity and they don't treat you like humans if you go as one/ people . If you go in groups they will do service as no one can do. They argue like gangsters, if you complain the food. Rather than rectifying the issue they raise their voice and try to bull you by treating you as if you don't know the food types . The guy in billing ground floor he is extremely rude even you pay the money you'll not get the hospitality. Atmosphere: Extremely worst, no parking, no ventilation, no washrooms clean, no food plate is clean.

It was our regular dinner place especially for birthdays etc. Current team managing restaurant seems to be different including chef. Doesn't have the sam flavors of dishes like before. Now can rank as okay for once in a while evening dinner meets.

This review is only about birthday cake. Not too good in design. Taste good but cost is high when compared to the cake design not like professionals. Nowadays home made bakers are doing very good designs and look like professional bakers. Children's birthday cake taste and appearance both required to satisfy kid's.

Nice restaurant with tasty food. Need to wait for a long time to get food, but place is nice to visit with family and friends meet-up lunch and all. Mainly non-vegetarian food is tasty in tamilnadu. Don’t expect Hyderabad Biryani kind of taste here but kichidi kind of biryani is available.

Sarthara's was there more than decades when i was kid my father had bought me some food here... In that memory last week went to taste same dish after 8 years taste and texture and stomach friendly ....but their timing of opening too late managing staff are too lazy serving is good 🙂 anyhow they hold their taste even now ... Try atleast shawarma once .... According to me best shawarma i have tasted in thanjavur

This is worthy and good authentic non veg kitchen. Food items are very good taste. It's very old restaurant in thanjavur and I visited many times in this restaurant. excellent local non vegetarian food, tad costlier for comparison with local other restaurants, but still worth visiting.

Seems small from outside but it seems a lot going inside and variety foods are available and one little thing to consider is their price. I felt it was quite expensive but in all other ways it was a pleasure .

I had mutton biryani and it had a lot of mutton in it with no bones.. only issue was it was too busy and people were standing next to us waiting for us to finish. It lessened the enjoyment of eating.

I would definitely given 5 star to this hotel, unless they charged for full tandoori chicken Rs 570, I took parcel to my surprise it was altogether small 4 pieces of chicken hardly weight 400 grms. I am not the first time eater, as the other hotels gove much larger quantities, also not sure why the bill amount was starting 2 quantities of half tandoori. Usually most of the hotel charges less for full tandoori, this hotel it's strange billing for full tandoori. They charged mentioning 2 half. I would strongly recommend this hotel compared to other, we actually had our lunch and dinner and all the dishes that we ordered, chicken Biriyani, idiyappam, parrots, paya, chicken gravy all were very delicious.

Searching for 0 star ⭐️ 20 years+ customer. But now the restaurant is totally scrap. Popular gravies and dries tastes really terrible. The new waiters behaviour isn’t polite. Visited last Friday Especially the ground floor cashier and another guy with him was very rude and that idiots don’t know how to behave with customers. Day by day the restaurant is going down. Worst experience, I used to be fan of this biriyani during my childhood. I visited the hotel after some 10 years. The biriyani did not taste good. I ordered chetinadu Chicken which was sweet, hope they put lot of butter in it or they prepared in the same vessel in which they prepared some sweet item. The chicken 65 was full of only Maida and I think the oil which they used was very old. Total waste of money

Tried Chicken Briyani (Rs 220), it is authentic Thanjavur style briyani. Delicious in taste. Very settled taste, Those who like less spicy must try this! But Quantity is not even well enough for single person. Made in 24 carat rice. No egg for chicken briyani. Try once you will like it. And also I ordered plain briyani, they charged Rs 180. it is very expensive.

A/c hall-Very nice ambience and excellent service. But when we entered for lunch on Sunday 1 pm. only we were there nobody else in the restaurant until we finish our food. Ordered 3 egg,mutton, chicken biryanis. Shockingly there is no difference between any of them. Same rice they used with little qty. Their dragon chicken was excellent. Else we could have simply walked out for the served Biryani quality. poor taste, no aroma, flet like tomoto rice and not at all worth the money paid for the briyani.

We were not sure where to go for lunch and this came up while searching on the net. It is just an average hotel. Not happy with the vegetarian dish they offered. I think it is most popular with non vegetarian items. Most of the customers were ordering biriyani and non vegetarian dishes. But they do have a awesome bakery with variety of bread,pizzas,tarts etc. Their pastries were yummy too. Don't miss their bakery items if you visit this place.

Dinner was average. The ambience and food did not live up to the hype. Service is below average and servers did not respond about menu and options available. Hand wash area and restroom close by was poorly maintained. Parotta was average. The only reason am giving it two stars is because the side dish we had no coloring agent and the taste was good.
