A very nice place to sit and relax in the evening. Good place for kids to run and play. Well maintained.. clean and neat place to sit.. during the weekends it's really crowded. They are closing it by 8pm, they can extend the time at least till 9pm for the kids to enjoy and have more fun during the holidays.

Park is a waste of time. The musuem dedicated to the chola period is good. Although not maintained and mostly in the Tamil language, exhibits needs to have translation as well to help others understand. The museum costs separately and is inside the park. Take some time to go through it. Entrance fee 5 INR per person. Museum ticket costs 10 INR per person. Parking on road at owners risk.

A very poorly maintained location in Thanjavur. Can be visited just for taking a look at the archeological museum within the premises. The manimandapam is filled with school and college going lovers who have made it their meeting spot and other people lying down for timepass. Overall a very bad experience in visiting this place.

Rajarajan Manimandapam is located in the Southern Part of Thanjavur. It was built in 1991 during the 8th World Tamil Conference. It is a beautiful structure and is built in the style of the buildings constructed during the choala's period Here is an park also It is good place for children to play Good maintenance, beautiful to view, But now a days here it is mostly use for lover's meeting place. If you go to the top of the mandapam you will see the whole tanjavur city

Public park in heart of the city. There is enough scope for development. Activity based entertainments are needed. There are more trees now. Jogging track is being planned. Manimandapam is under renovation.

This place brings back so much beautiful memories that I had as a child. But, these days, it brings bit of a heart ache to watch the place: - Untidy maintenance though an entrance fee is collected. They may sweep at beginning of the day, but it needs more maintenance. - The fountains look barely operational. - The outside payment is broken in many places. - Plants and lawns are not maintained well. Infact we hardly saw any lawn. - Lovers being more affectionate with each other on the tower(mandapam) floors irrespectiveof which floor it is. 🤦‍♂️Children come there😡. Have some manners. You can be private in your own place and no one would care.🤷🏻‍♂️ Hope government adds cameras on corners of every floor of the Mandapam Still the view from top of the Mandapam is very beautiful to watch.🥰 Old Chola heritage preserved beneath the Mandapam, though small would be a Historian's & Archeologist's delight.🤩

If you come with kids, It has a park and stuff. If you can't read Tamil the museum downstairs will be a waste.

It is good to enjoy. It is purely meant for kids. They will enjoy their evening. One can see the Rajaraja Chola museum here. Nice place to visit once in the Tanjavur trip. Museum time is from 9 to 5.30.

Superb location for kids and youngsters... Its greenery... Cool and artistic too Kids will have enough playing options... And long space to walk... Explore... And also peaceful place from one end.... Love this place... Its built in the name of King Rajaraja's Memorial.... I had seen the construction of this place... When the whole area was just surrounded with thorn bushes.... Nice initiative... Now the government is upgrading... Its encouraging

It is being maintained better than couple of years before. But it still needs lot of maintenance work including toilets, repainting etc. Lawns to be improved and maintained. Lights are not sufficient around the pathway.

Excited to see the things used in Rajarajan era and many interesting information facts. If you wish to take pictures inside the museum, you just need to pay Rs.30. Worth visiting. Museum is neat and clean. Children will enjoy playing in the park. Youngsters could avoid scribblings on the walls and unwanted activities in the tower.

The museum is closed (Dec 2021) but the watch tower was nice though it can be maintained better given there is an entrance fee charged. The walls are all dirty and rubbish everywhere. Head to the 5th floor to get good views of the city. Sunsets are nice. Ensure you go around 5.45p to get a good sunset. There are many joy rides for children (all priced at Rs. 20) like toy train, jumping on inflated slide, etc.

At first, super excited to go here, but when we look into manimandapam it's really unhygienic, large group of people's were sleeping, college students and lovers we crowded and chosen their areas here and there. Government should take necessary actions and steps & also should use manimandapam in useful way. Ground floor we have an area with Rajarajan statue in thermacol, various old languages and letters, some bronze statues and pictures.
