Near to railway station about 300 metres. Great price and affordable,Clean rooms. Complimentary breakfast available which is really good. Courtyard garden is enjoyable and relaxing

With the main attractions of Thanjavur at a stone's throw, this is definitely a great place to stay. A heritage building, the rooms are large n spacious. Cost is definitely 2700 for a triple bedroom AC room along with complimentary breakfast. Staff is courteous and helpful.

Very clean. Courteous reception and service staff. Very nice hotels nearby and if you have your own vehicle, you can go around and visit places of importance very easily from this place. Complimentary breakfast place doesn't have air-conditioning but very neatly manitained.

It's a govt. hotel, big spacious rooms. There is no lift, otherwise it's all good. The breakfast has very limited options. There is a bar in the hotel that serves 3-4 items with your order on their own. The washrooms are not maintained well, showers don't have sufficient flow and are not clean.

Pros :- 1. At the heart of the city. All tourist attractions and bus stand within1 km . 2. Attached Restaurant has satisfactory food. 3. Good availability of autos 4. Spacious rooms ( We stayed in a triple bed AC room ) and looked at double bed AC rooms while they were being cleaned 5. 20% Concession if rooms booked by senior citizens 6. Very clean and vast compound 7. Big car parking space 8. Play area for kids . 9. Hot water 24 hours 10. Polite behavior at reception Cons :- 1. Service is on slower side . 2. Complimentary breakfast menu (Idly, vada, Mini dosa, Pongal, Tea/Coffee) same everyday .

Loved the stay here, a well maintained rooms in affordable price in heart of location, very near to railway station. Food is average, however the service for the staff was too good...

Surprised to see a ttdc rooms maintained so well, cost of the room was reasonable, parking is available, the highlight is the location of the place "Centre of the town". If possible go for booking at this place, highly recommended

TTD hotel at Tanjavur is great one. The hotel is well maintained . With big and vast area, there is no problem for parking . Rooms are very specious , clean and neat. Restaurant is very good and they serve good food. Bar is also attached to this hotel. They serve both Veg and Non Veg food. If you are a pure veg. , there is a hotel Divya just 2 minutes away. Staff and receptionists are very polite and take care of the customers very well. If you are a Senior Citizen , you can claim 20% discount in the room tariff. Peacocks are staying in the hotel premises and you can enjoy the beauty .

Rooms are quite big and located near to the tourist attractions and railway Station. It has some greenery and one can see the peacock dance in the mornings. These peacocks reside in the hotel compound It's one of the old guest house of the kings. It's decorated with beautiful paintings. Maintenance can be improved.

The rooms are clean enough, but that's not what im going to review about this hotel. The entrance to the living space is awesome. There's a grand looking staircase. The corridors are full of paintings of Brihadeeswarar temple. The rooms each have a painting depicting life in the chola time. The cherries on the cake are the sun light steaming into the room early in the morning and the special early morning visitors to the hotel--three of them. There's also a garden with a couple of seats and play apparatus for kids.

Hotel Tamilnadu is example of how bad Typical Govt run organisation. It is kind of lodge type hotel with AC. if you want to stay in a lodge you can stay here. We checked in mini AC double room on 21 April and upon checking the room it was damn small and the booked it with extra two beds. I requested for bigger room for which they told it is not available. The extra beds given were having bed bugs which is really pathetic. and the AC compressor was fixed inside the dressing room which makes the area too hot. I am not sure who gave this idea. and to add our woes the AC was not working. after long fight got another room where the AC was working. morning complementary breakfast - better you stop it if Hotel Tamilnadu does not want to offer it. tasteless sambar, chutney and overall pathetic. and in our room old liquor bottles were inside the room which were not cleaned. kids were highly disappointed on seeing the room and its condition. I would strongly recommend not to consider this hotel for your trip to Thanjavur as it would ruin your plans.

Approx 1km from the temple....rooms are big and are well maintained.....food is good but the rate is a bit high....morning free breakfast is provided....but i don't find any quality in it.....it's like offering a combo for name sake without any quality and taste.

Excellent, helpful staff. The restaurant is amazing and inexpensive to boot. They allowed us to stay past the checkout times, didn't hassle us one bit. The backyard garden is a calm oasis, if the bustle of thanjavur's streets get to you. A resident peacock woke us up early in the morning , no need for alarm clocks. Not flashy, but best value for money in town.

Although old fashioned, Govt Guest House type building, rooms were clean. Food menu is not adequate and options are very limited. Room service is not good. Billing and check out is very bad. 2.5 🌟 overall out of 5.

Well maintained rooms and ofcourse worth for the price they quoted and with complementary breakfast. Surrounded by all amenities at a walkable duration too. Easy to reach big temple. Room service and parking and etc., all are quite good and stay will be a memorable one. I’m stayed at the occasion trip at the time of Maandas Tornado time.

Rooms are spacious and hot water available 24 hours would be the highlight. Typical government guest house style stay. Location of this property is amazing as all main tourist attractions are very close by. Food was average but there are other options available at walkable distance from the hotel so it didn't bother much.

Great location, and with enough parking space, there are spacious rooms and a lot of areas within the building and in the compound to take some beautiful photos. The Chola Temple and the Cathedral are close enough. The food is tasty and I would recommend having the free breakfast too. There is the feeling of living in an old mansion taking back in history. We can stay here while traveling to Velankanni which is also just two and half hours away.

I liked the place very much. Very nice and clean! Staff are courteous and well maintained. Location is great and can go to near by places easily. Brihadeshwar temple is also very nearby. Sound of peacock also makes very pleasant.

I chose ac semi duplex, room is very good for two members. Clean and tidy. It's an old style building, very nicely maintained. Rest room is clean. You have complementary breakfast. Very close to railway station. Supportive staffs too. Only thing is , the hot water will take sometime to come in the tap. It will not come right away. Other than that , overall a good hotel to prefer.
