Great place for an outing... Especially in the evening.. There is a Raja Chola Museum also which is at the basement of the Manimandapam Structure. Best to arrive by 4pm to ensure you can cover the musue which closes at 5 pm. There is a playground for children along with a toy train which both adults and kids can enjoy. Do ensure you climb the stair to reach the top floor of Manimandapam from. Where you can get a great top view of Tanjavur city. You can actually see the Big Temple as well from the top floor. The breeze is really cool at the top. You can easily spend about an hour here. Parking and Restroom available. Below Average cleanliness though.
