What to say..Mr. Eldhose is a gem of a person & a birder par excellence! The stay was absolutely comfortable & bathroom was neat & clean. The food affair at the lodge deserves a special mention..Mrs Eldhose is an excellent cook & makes mouth watering delicacies. Everything was planned to a T by Mr. Eldhose even before we arrived at the lodge. The biodiversity at Thattekad is just mind boggling. Bimal & Jerin our field guide during the stay went an extra mile every time to search & locate a bird species in the jungle whenever we wished to see a rarity. The hide inside the lodge campus are strategically placed & you can expect to get an excellent photograph with clean background whenever you shoot. A must visit place for all the bird lovers & Photographers. Would love to visit again..

Very nice birding experience and stay. Very clean rooms. The host was very friendly. The facility has very experienced guide. Got many lifers like cyclone bay owl, frogmouth nightjar, thrush etc.

Eldhose bording lodge is excellent in its services. Mr Eldhose is such a good and humble person with great birding experience. Bird guides are also good in experience. Must visited place for bird's photographers.

Nice place for birding photography. You can see plenty of Birds. Eldose is strictly punctual in every thing. Seems to be little bit expensive. Photographer's friendly environment.

Fantastic place to bird and stay. Guides are knowledgeable and we'll equipped with binocs and flashlights. Home cooked food and Eldhose's hospitality is awesome. A must visit place for all birders and bird photographers. This is a home stay and Rooms are equipped with necessary basic facilities. Don't expect luxury when you are there.

If your are an avid bird watcher do visit this place with full enthusiasum for an amazing bird watching experience. After the end of 4 day tour I shall sincerely appreciate and respect the budding, dedicated, hard working “New Team” at “Eldhose Birding Lodge and Resort” for making tremendous efforts to provide comfortable bird watching experience at Thattekad and Munnar for a naive bird watcher like me. visited this place in the off-season around august, when none of the bird hides were functioning. I was not expecting much because it was off-season, but was surprised to find that this whole place is a bird-paradise and I could easily spot and photograph around 25-30 birds including multiple types of uncommon woodpeckers & kingfishers. The host Mr. Ajo Abraham is a nice and amiable guy who has good knowledge of where to spot the birds and knows the locality very well. He makes sure that his guests are always comfortable. The trip to the nearby forest & local birding was an unforgettable experience. It is a must visit place for any photographers or bird-lovers. Also November to January is the best time to visit.

What a fabulous place and food! It's so amazing to cherish the memories of watching the beautiful Malabar hornbill birds in morning hours. They are a sight to behold and uplift the spirit of the day! Must visit for bird lovers and photographers.

Had a lovely stay at Eldhose birding lodge. The birding was amazing, with well placed hides & excellent guides. Wifi, good food & a very comfortable room, topped off by the kind hospitality of the family, couldn't ask for anything more. I will definitely be visiting again.

If you are nature lover and not very choosey this is a good place to stay. And you should be a birder necesarily. Mr. Eldhose himself is very enthusiastic and hard core lover of birds and birding. Very knowledgeable person with experience. Yes, you will really love his home made original Keralateel cuisine.
