If you are visiting Winter Garden, this is a most stop. Even though is a small building, they have a great collection of railroad memorabilia from the Central Floridia area, plus a video room dedicated to explaining the history related to it. The persons working the day we went were really great answering all the questions we had and their interactions with everyone was awesome. We really loved it.

David was fantastic and walk us through some of the gadgets and displays. My girls got to learn and do some Morse Code on a real "Bug." It's free but they take cash donations in the box when you first enter and they never pressured us to but they worked so hard and are so passionate about the history of that station we had to donate. It must be preserved for generations to come. Thanks again!

This little gem was so cool! Although the place itself is rather small…they packed a bunch of cool, old train memorabilia worth a stop if you’re a rail fan or just an enjoyer of trains.

Really Cute...Lots of tools, pictures, memorabilia, books and onboard artifacts...it's interesting. Reading the informational signs is key. A lot packed in to three rooms...one being somewhat larger than the other two. Set in a quaint, pretty, well kept section of historical Winter Garden. Plan on an hour-two and bring your reading glasses.

This is a delightful place to spend an hour or two. There are a remarkable number of railroad artifacts ranging from railroad repair equipment to the china used in dining cars (each line had its own design!). There are five rooms, including one large room with very well-planned and informative exhibits. Educational--and fun for all of the family, especially if you love trains.

The railroad industry has a rich history. If you want to know more, you shouldn’t miss out on the Central Florida Railroad Museum during your visit. With galleries and events about the railroad industry, the train museum Winter Garden is a worthy addition to your bucket list. We enjoyed our visit.

There were four rooms absolutely FULL of photos and memorabilia of the history of not only this location but of other Florida train routes and even pieces from all over. Let me put it this way, you HAVE to visit at least three times because everything is labeled and organized so well that you could really spend at least an hour in each area. On top of all that there is to look at, the gentleman who guided me was so sweet and so knowledgeable. I'll absolutely be back. If you're looking for a little something to purchase they have all sorts of pins, patches, hats, tickets, model trains, books. I saw 3 children in there about 6 years old with their parents and they were very well behaved didn't touch anything but each was staring away at everything because there was THAT much to distract and make them happy.

Ted the host was very friendly. The museum was decked out in Halloween stuff, a few days after ( not so great).. Lots of railroad memorabilia. Loved the old building and its history.

I really liked this place! I love trains and found a lot of interesting things, vintage things and pictures in this museum! Be sure to take about an hour to walk around and get a good look at every detail, the museum seems small but there are many small interesting things. Entry is free, but you can make a donation to keep the museum going. I would have liked more souvenirs to buy ❤️

If you're in Winter Garden, make sure to visit this museum. It’s free and features a remarkable collection of railroad memorabilia from the Central Florida region. There is also a video room providing the insight history behind it all. The staff was incredibly helpful as well. I highly recommend a visit to this gem in Winter Garden.

Small but very informative railroad museum. No actual engines or cars on site. The staff is very friendly and friendly. Limited hours. Do not confuse the Heritage Museum(yellow caboose in front ) with the railroad museum. Child friendly.

If you are interested in the railroad history of central Florida then this museum is a must see. The docent on duty the day we visited, Bill, knew a wealth of knowledge which he told in a very relatable way. Be advised that this is a historic station that contains many interesting railroad items but there are no cars or locomotives on display.

Cool little museum with a lot of old train parts and memorabilia. Free on the day we visited but maybe all the time? Dave the attendant was knowledgeable of many old facts just ask him!

I stopped by here while on vacation in Orlando. The staff was very inviting and hospitable, and also very knowledgeable of where to see trains around the area for railfanning. I recommend stopping by if you are in the Winter Garden area.

There is so much local train history in one place! The place looks unassuming when just passing by, but the second you walk inside, you are surrounded by so much! It is very well organized & categorized, they also have so many pictures & artifacts from the past (it's mind boggling how much iron was used in even the simplist items!). They are very child friendly, and the curators & staff are so knowledgeable and helpful! They possess so much information and are happy to share it. It's definitely worth the time to drop by!
