We had such an amazing experience at The Melting Pot. The food was extraordinary, served and presented beautifully, while sitting in a beautiful place. We had the “One of Everything” which we were so happy around as it really did give us a bit of everything! The staff were so friendly and the wine was great. Will definitely be back.

Outstanding restaurant in Elgin! We had a family feast! Beautifully presented food with excellent wine! Service exceptional! The chocolate fondant, best I’ve ever tasted! I highly recommend this restaurant!

During our holiday from U.K. earlier this year, we visited Melting Pot. From location to cuisine, from welcome to ambience, this restaurant has charisma and charm beyond expectations. The menu is comprehensive yet not overwhelming. There’s a sense of ease and calm about the whole experience and we left with a vow to return - and we did - with a group of about 20 people. Even that volume of guests did not cause the restaurant team to put a foot wrong. Yet the experience was warmly human and easy on the pocket too. A highly recommended destination experience you should try if you enjoy sublime cuisine, heavenly wine and a memorable experience.

Great find after Cape Canopy Zip Line. The place feels like an oasis with the greenery and cosy place. Food is awesome and the deserts are heaven! Great wines too! Highly recommended 😊

Arrived in the pitch dark with absolutely no light from the car park to the restaurant. We had to use our phone torches to light our way. At the prices they charge, I would expect at least some solar powered lights along the path. Our waitress was inattentive. We were only given 1 set of cutlery and 1 side plate between the 2 of us, and this went by completely unnoticed by her. The food was mostly tasty, but some dishes were very under seasoned, and no salt was provided on the table until we specifically asked for it. The oysters were poorly shucked, and I had to remove pieces of shell from my mouth while having them. On a positive note, though, the fries were really good and the hummus one of the best I've tasted.

Breathtaking views of the mountains with a cozy atmosphere in the restaurant facing a sparkling pool. Dog friendly outdoor area. Service was great for our coffee since we were too late for lunch so can’t comment on the food but the menu is very interesting. We’ll be back to try it!

We were lucky to have some time available, exploring the Elgin Valley and popped into the restaurant by chance. The location and gardens are beautiful. We were there in an Autumn setting but spring & summer must be breathtaking. Food & wine were outstanding - Best Gnocchi I've had, hope to be back

It's refreshing to go to a restaurant that operates so efficiently! From the moment you walk in, the friendly staff, welcoming atmosphere and level of professionalism are to be admired at this establishment. A bit out of the way, but so worth the drive to the Elgin estate where the Melting Pot is found. Teddy, our waiter, was clearly well trained and went about serving us with a grace and ease that, combined with the delicious food, made a perfect pre-mothersday lunch experience! As a group of 8, we just decided to try one of each of everything on the menu and just share - it was well worth it! I won't go into what each dish was (see some of the photos before being gobbled up!), but just to say that the chef and kitchen team executed a spread to make you swoon. Well thought out in terms of flavour profiles and complicated enough to be impressive but not pretentious - a fine balance that most establishments fail to achieve. The food service was quick, without being rushed and as visually appealing as it was delicious. The 3 desserts that we ordered and shared crossed the range of flavour and texture to please most pallettes. One (negative if only slightly), comment to make, was that the Panna cotta served with a frozen fruit topping, lost some of its consistency as it "defrosted" slightly. This made the dish a bit watery. With all that, I didn't even get into the delicious wines that they produce and serve, but needless to say I give The Melting Pot my own personal "Nike" rating!

The restaurant is a separate entity from the wine farm so the wine tasting operates independently which is not a problem at all... Just have to pay for the wine tasting as cannot be added to the restaurant bill. The tables are arranged around the pool in the garden which was perfect for a Sunday lunch. I thought that the menu was quite limited but we had the roast pork option which was lovely. The staff are friendly but seriously need to be taught the finesse of the trade - possibly a little more product knowledge as well. All in all a pleasant Sunday jaunt into the countryside!

Honestly, one of my favourite places. Their food is unmatched; it's delicious, beautifully presented and incredible value for money. The service is impeccable and the setting is stunning. I will always be coming back for a good time!

One of the best restaurants in Cape Town area, the food is exquisite, the service is excellent and the venue is beautiful. Last but not least, it is top end food at a very affordable price!

Really superb venue, if you want a quiet, relaxing time. You can sit in the restaurant proper, or under the pak trees, as you wish... the view is perfect and the food is excellent. Time just slows down, and you wish you could just spend a lazy afternoon dozing in the shade. I am looking forward to coming here again next time.
