    Came for a day visit. Pool facilities are not well cleaned and maintained - all are very slippery. The little pond at the Zen garden was dirty and looked like it had not been cleaned for a very long time. On a more positive note, my wife enjoyed a relaxing massage at the spa and staff were friendly.

    Me and my family were booked at the Caledon Spa Hotel from 15/09/23 to 17/09/23. On checking into the rooms (2 rooms) , my room had the following issues. The fridge was not working and the big lamp had no globe in it. After complaining, the fridge was changed and a globe put into the lamp. After a swim, took a shower in the bathroom only to find that the drain in the bath tub was clogged. Reported it and and was sorted out the next morning. On Sunday we checked out before 12h00 and asked the reception if we could still use the pools for about 2 hours as the weekend had a lot of rain and that we couldn't use the pools as much. They gladly obliged. About an hour into our swim, a security guard approached my son in law to ask him to leave the pool and the premises as we had checked out. My daughter explained to him that we were granted permission from the hotel reception. His reply was that the hotel staff don't know their job. He aggressively forced them out of the pool. My daughter requested that give us time to dry ourselves and change. He was standing by the change room door. He then went into the ladies change room with other guests in their as well , to chase my daughter and grandson out. I approached the guard to ask him to calm down and that we go resolve it with the hotel reception. I stated videoying the guard on his aggressiveness and he grabbed my phone and deleted the video. At that point I went to the reception to advise what had happened. The hotel staff were very good and apologetic. We filed a complaint on an official form from the head of security. The response we got from the hotel manageress and the resort manager was pathetic for the humiliation we suffered. We have been a guest of this resort for over 20 yrs. Beware and when u check out , make sure u leave or u will be thrown off the property.

    Went for a day visit to the hot springs. The walk way to the entrance of the hot springs was dirty with chip packets and take away containers floating in the water. My partner cut his knee at the vent in the pool due to the slippery floor and life guard himself said their were no plaster in stock and when we asked for any type of bandage they said their first aid kit does not have anything to stop the bleeding . So a little side note come prepared with your own first aid kit if you have little kids.

    Hubby, teen daughter and I holidayed here over a weekend. The hot pools were amazing, the sauna, steam room and cold pool was also thoroughly enjoyed. It's a beautifully scenic destination with great views. We also raved and thoroughly enjoyed the African Rain experience at the spa. It was simply amazing. Beds were a good size and comfortable. Bathroom needs a bit of updating. But overall we will definitely be back. The staff were amazing and helpful. Went above and beyond for us which we really appreciated. And their breakfast was absolutely amazing. Fresh croissants, flap Jack's, fruit, eggs, bacon, 3 types of sausage, potato rosties, it's endless and was superb!

    I went to the Spa. The person there refused me towels because I was a hotel guest. We had to go back to the hotel for towels. Which they wanted a R200 per towel deposit which my girlfriend wanted to pay by card. When told that she had to wait three days for a refund she returned and fetched cash. Then she was told it would take 14 days for a refund. To get this problem took a long time and twice I had to walk down the stairs and climb the stairs again. No way to treat a guest that is recuperating from a lung infection. Terrible service. On the plus side the breakfast was outstanding.

    We were greeted by very friendly staff on arrival. Booking in was slightly delayed due to cleaning of rooms. The rooms were comfortable and the welcoming tea/coffee was enjoyable. The warmer pools were a bit too far and the climb a bit too steep for an older person with a back and hip problem. That was the only downside of our visit. The views were breathtaking and breakfast was to die for. Overall we had quite a memorable stay and will certainly return for another visit.

    Was very disappointed, for the amount it costs per room every night it's really not worth it. Rooms are very dated. No bar or restaurant open at night during the week. No room service. You have to go to the casino to get anything to drink or eat. Breakfast room was ok, also needs an update, chipped plates. Serving dishes were broken, handles loose. Coffee machine needed fixing during service. Just overall not a great experience at the hotel. The one receptionist, think her name is Valencia and cleaning staff were very helpful. This hotel is Definitely not worth what we paid and won't see me again!

    Spent the long weekend at the hotel. Miss the room service and the bar snack baskets. The food at DaVinci isn't great and the Black Sheep is okay. It was storming and the rain was coming through our patio door and window. Our room was cleaned but they didn't vacuum. They gave us 1 bath towel for 2 people and no hand towel. We had to walk to reception to get a hand towel and got told they didn't have. I did have a lovely massage and the breakfast is good. Overall I do feel that there is room for major improvement. Not sure if we'll go back.

    I would like to thank Vanessa and her team for providing excellent service when serving us with breakfast in the morning. They showed great professionalism, even when confronted by very difficult guests. The same can be said of the frontline staff at reception. They were truly helpful and professional. I was rather surprised that the hotel stopped providing room service and removed robes from the robes. The answer that it was due to Covid-19 is far from being acceptable. In addition, the hotel used to show movies and thus provided entertainment for children in the evening. This seem to have stopped. Lastly, invest in good pillows. Those pillows are not good for a good night's rest. Otherwise, thank you for your service. We will see you again next time. But please take the feedback seriously.

    We had 4 honeymoons last May 2023. This was our 2 from 4, and it was amazingly nice. Last week, 6 January 2024, was time for the hot water. omw, that was so relaxing. Beautiful time, we need to go again

    It is a pity. The pools are very dirty and as you move in the water the thick slimy algae surfaces to meet you face to face while you're slipping and sliding from end to end as the greace finds it's way through your hands and toes. If you're going to drive for 2hrs, spend R200 p/person, R50 for a locker then I'd suggest you rather take a trip to Pringle Bay. If you're still not convinced, don't worry they do have a liquid sanitizing soap in the shower's.

    Great holiday place. The rooms are looking a bit dated now. But still comfortable beds. TV could be upgraded to smart TV to allow Netflix. WiFi is bit slow but still decent for browsing and can get away with Netflix stream depending on how busy it is. Breakfast is amazing.
