This is truly a great experience! You can enjoy nature at its best. The trail routes are clearly marked. We did not have any difficulties navigating along the well kept trails. The nature reserve staf are friendly and helpful. Take your swimming gear with when you do the waterfall route.

The Greyton Nature Reserve is full of a number of short walks and it’s free to enter. If you’re trying the short Noupoort walk after heavy rains you won’t get very far because it floods quite easily, so be prepared to take your shoes off or turn back. The red trail was nice, there is a sharp accent at one point, but you get nice views at the top.

A gem of a spot with walks/hikes for all levels and ages. Some gorgeous flowers in spring/summer, waterfalls, epic pools.... Wonderfully knowledgeable and friendly ranger at entrance - take some time to chat, he is very helpful. Just sorry I didn't get his name.

What an adventurous experience I had,the scenery up until the end was phenomenal,it was strenuous at certain parts of the trail, but worth every step. We stopped at the waterfall for a swim, which was soooo refreshing.

Breathtaking views and all paths are well signposted. Take enough water and something warm when planning to hike through to McGregor.

From easy to intermediate day walks as well as an overnight option, Greyton Nature Reserve offers something for everyone. Suitable for the whole family. Beautiful scenery and the waterfalls were quite a treat this time of year(May).

The walks in this nature reserve are fantastic. Helps to know the route as some of the paths lead you through water. There are at least 2 routes to a waterfall. Dogs aren’t allowed. 😟

Lovely hike and the rock pool is spectacular. Not the most difficult hike I've done, but also not to be underestimated. Definitely worth it! Take screen shots of the map before you go! There isn't reception and the trail signs are faded. We took a wrong turn in the beginning and we struggled finding our hut, in the dark... start early! :) Oh and take enough water, at least 2L pp - the water source is a bit far from the starting point.

Various trails in this beautiful nature reserve. There isn't any shade so be sure to start early to avoid the hot summer sun. Take hat, sunscreen, water and wear good walking shoes as the oath is rocky There is a short walk to the dam and the rock pools.

Such a beautiful place to walk. The trails are clearly posed and we felt safe walking there. Spotted a variety of birds and even a shy buck.

The staff are very informative and have ample knowledge of what the nature reserve has to offer. The staff are alert and know exactly what can and cannot be aloud in the reserve. The nature reserve is well marked out and has no debit or trash lying around. I will definitely be taking a hike in the reserve again.

I really don’t want to say anything bad about the place as I try to cherish every opportunity I can get to do a hike in such an unspoilt environment but… we set out early to do the Hardepeerkloof hike. What was supposed to have been a 5km hike turned into a unsuccessfully completed hike. According to the board you have to start on the Platkloof trail and then it should veer off. After 4km zig zagging up we eventually reached a t-junction that wasn’t on the map. With no trail markings or any idee how much further we still have to go, we decided to rather go back the way we came. I’d like to think that we are moderately fit but I wouldn’t recommend this unless you are very fit. The trail is steep and the higher you go the more the trail is covered in lose rocks. To add insult to injury, when we made it back to the car, a ‘guide’ at the gate said we actually had to take the Boesmanskloof trail which eventually would have take us to the summit. Long story short, if you aren’t familiar with the various trails on offer, rather stick with the Platkloof trail. It appears to be the best marked and therefore safer.

Our first visit to this little gem of a reserve, but def not the last. It was a stunning area, masses of flowers and excellently laid out paths all very well marked

Behold, a paradise awaits. This mountain is absolutely breathtaking with so many hiking routes to offer. My personal favourite is the route that heads into the crevice of the mountain, keep going and it will lead you to a rock pool, swim through that pool and you arrive at a hidden waterfall, there's even a ladder there that allows you to to a small cliff jump. Beware though, the water is freezing!
