I went this weekend to the Elgin Railway market. I would highly recommend this place. I really loved it and it’s perfect for kids and is also dog friendly. Ideal for summer or winter. The place really has a nice wide variety of food stall and I would say will definitely cater for everyone. Only thing is I’m not sure if all stalls are halaal. They have pizza, burgers, seafood, sushi, Thai food, Indian food and much more. The fudge was absolutely amazing and I would highly recommend it. We ordered from the pizza, burger and Thai place and we enjoyed it very much. They also have a nice coffee area with hot drinks and fresh baked bread. They have a nice play area for kids and a wall climbing section for them. At the market it’s not only food but clothes, accessories and trinkets. Please do go visit. I will definitely be visiting again

A must to go to. Music is a one man band, you can relax and enjoy. Food is diverse and good quality. Never to be thirsty, enough of everything. The old 1947 train locomotive is a treat to see, can travel with as well from Waterfront. A definet visit often for us.

Very vibey and festive market, with live music, bars, food stalls and stalls with various produce and or crafts. Many styles of food and variation for the family and a really good vibe on the Sunday we went. Gets quite busy, but tables empty and get filled as people get up and leave. Fudge bar was delish, people rave about the pizzas and saw plenty of other really delicious things like the fish n chips and poke bowls going past.

Was a nice experience. Took the steam train there but this area is too busy for my person. If you don't mind waiting in LONG lines for drinks or food or the restroom then you will enjoy it. Apart from that it has a nice vibe, some live music (when we went) and it is pretty cool with the different propellers they use as fans.

Nice venue with plenty of merchandise on display and aome great food kiosks to choose from. The ceiling fans and the meganism turning the huge plane propeller fans was awesome. The huge heaters as well. Love the place!

Amazing place. The steam punk theme just does it. Wide arrangement of food stalls as well. Spoilt for choice. The calamari is the best I had in a long time.

It was a great experience. The ambiance is very welcoming and charming. Amazing selection of wines and food, with live music to enhance the experience. The interior design is very interesting and adds to the vibe. You can get there via the train. But we decided to drive since the train takes up to 5 hours to reach the market from Cape Town. Definitely worth a visit!

Really great place to stop over. The coffee was nice and it offers a unique walkabout market experience that's enjoyable for all. I personally really liked the art exhibits and the overall design of the place is something to feast your eyes on.

Went there for the first time. Awesome place. Had my sister's grandson (6yrs old)with us. He had a blast. One man band Kruynouw End entertained us with Awesome music. Quite talented. The food is great and reasonably priced. Salt and Sea fish and calamari platter was very well prepared.

We spent the whole morning there. The variety of food and the sound of the train coming in made it the perfect nostalgic spot for the older crowd. The coffee, boerboel wear and beautiful jewelry made it fun for parents while their kids played in the play area outside. There is putt putt and wall climbing. Do you enjoy reading? Buy a book on the buss outside or bring your own one to read on the comfy chairs

Went there the morning of 7 January 2023. Everything is overpriced and more catered for tourists. The foods taste bland and the only entertainment worth seeing is the person performing live. I would describe it as a healthy vibe as there were a few vegan option shops. This market is by the Elgin Railway and has an indoor and outdoor rock climbing wall, as well as a really tiny mini golf for kids. I did like the G&T stall.

Steam Punk atmosphere. Wine, Gin, craft local beer. Food stalls with five continents represented. Crafts and curios. There is also a very interesting wood shop if you want upcycled small goods and furniture .

Very nice spot. Good variety of food, in fact, need to go back a few times to try everything. Shopping stalls were a bit minimal, would have been nicer with more. Live music was really good. Worth a visit.

Really lovely market with some good food, drink and gift options. We did the wine tasting at Elgin Cool Wine Shop and also had some pizzas and samoosas. There's also entertainment for the kids and live music. Will definitely return.

Nice steam punk themed indoor market, great atmosphere, live music, delicious food options and tasty craft beers and cider. Steam locomotive adds to the wonderful vibe and authentic experience of this market.

I love how the tour group was able to take an old train and turn something into a proper tourist attraction. Food options are unbelievable. Such a good day
