Captain Lakshmi Park in Trivandrum offers a pleasant ambience with its outdoor workout instruments, chess game pitch, and various activities for children, including slides and other games. The location adds to its charm. However, it's disappointing to hear about the rudeness of some security personnel. Improving staff courtesy could enhance the overall experience for visitors.

New park at the heart of the city by Kerala water authority dedicated to Captain Lakshmi. Refreshing experience and nice view from the top. Children's play area is nice which includes skating track, large chess board. Open gym equipments are available. Good walking path that circles almost the entire area. Artificial stream seems not working.

Best place to spend evenings with kids and family. Lot of green lushes and trees around and overall a serene environment. Lightings in the night time double up its beauty.

Good place for play and relaxation for kids as well as elders. The large chess board gives some exotic vibes.. Apt for skating aspirants as there is ample space for that.. Overgrown grass is there in the top portion of the park which needs more cleaning.. Some of the kids play items need maintenance and renovation..

A newly opened park for public right opposite to Kanakakkunnu Palace with a lot of play equipments for kids. A public Gym is also included in the park. Since the park is new and maintained well, it attracts a lot of public. Plenty of seating arrangements are provided for visitors. There some fountains and artificial water streams which are yet to be functional. The park is maintained by Kerala Water Authority. Given its location, has great prospects to become a must visit place in Trivandrum city. Update 17.09.2022 - Within less than 3 weeks into opening, many of the equipments in the open Gym are seen damaged. Another classic example of poor quality items used as eyewash.

Nice area to enjoy with your family. Small kids will surely enjoy this park. Can stay and enjoy the amenities inside this park upto 10pm. There is a unique large chess area and a board skating area in this property.

Good park for kids in the midst of the city. Elders can play the chess where they have to actually move around. So far well maintained park. Hope corporation keeps it that way and introduce more slides and equipments.

The Captain Laskhmi Park, which is located just opposite to Kanakakunnu Palace, is a great piece of attraction. This is a newly innovated park that was under the control of Kerala Water Authority. It has many seating capacity and is an amazing place to spend your evening especially with your children. The best time to visit this place is after 6'0 clock where all the lights are being lit up and will give you an amazing feel good experience. A small park for kids is also arranged here. Activities like human chess playing board is also set up and a skating area is also provided here. What I didn't like is about their maintenance. Even though the place is renovated on November of 2022, the fountains are not working and the water inside it is much dirty. They can also include many more activities for the kids to make it more enjoyable and lively. It would be a better option for them to provide a small cafeteria inside the park where small snacks can be made available.

The park requires routine maintenance. There are so many people visiting and resting for a while. However, the park is untidy and poorly maintained. The pond's water is filthy and has a dark color. Since it is located in the heart of the city, a little more upkeep is required.

Captain Lakshmi Park at Kanakakunnu, which was out of bounds for the public for several decades, has now garnered attention following its reopening. The refurbishment was initiated by the city corporation by spending Rs 1.92 crore through Thiruvananthapuram Smart City Limited. The park, situated opposite the Kanakakunnu Palace, was in shambles for years. The sprawling land belongs to the Kerala Water Authority (KWA). Due to its elevation, it offers a picturesque view of the Kanakakunnu Palace and the adjoining museum and zoo campus. No entry fee Parking space not available Just near the zoo

It is very very good. Something the city had been lacking for a long time...a good park for a family that wants some nature and recreation in the evenings. But wondered where the restrooms were, which is very important when we go with kids or old people.

Children friendly park, and have open gyms Working time is not good, cause itz closses in 9.30 pm its time when everyone gots out of ofgices and tution, and itz water falls are not maintained itz ffull of wastes and mosquitos, if its priserved its wery good place 👍🏻

Good location and good place for kids to play anf adults to relax. There are few artificial ponds and water fall which are non functional and some ponds are dirty.

Good place for kids. Great destination to bring kids to play and you can sit peacefully and do sight seeing. Beautiful view. Suggestion, Water fountains have to be maintained and broken play equipment has to be replaced.

I entered this park after 25-30 years. It was so nostalgic and so happy to see it got renovated with gym equipments, children swing, play area, big chess and Skate area etc.
