Excellent Masala dosa, crispy vada, tasty kesari, average coffee coupled with very quick and prompt service. Only waiting that you might need is to get a seat. Once you are seated, things move pretty fast here.

The famous authentic vegetarian restaurant in Thiruvanathapuram from ages. Masala dosa and Karavada with their Filter coffee is a must try. Also their snacks like Valsan , Thaiyiru vada , rava kesari is worth a try. Prices are really economical. Must try place for all the vegetarian lovers. They don't offer any parking space as you can depend on public road side parking.

Had Kara Vada and Parotta. Nothing to say about kara vada it's amazing. I always buy kara vada from Venkadesa bhavan only.Parotta was served with kuruma salad and pickle. All trivandrum folks might know this place. They are known for serving best kara vada in town. All the dishes served here are affordable.

One of the typical veg resturant in Trivandrum city Two storied building Located on the junction itself Space and ambience in the restaurant is less 12 people could be seated on first floor and 8 people on the ground floor Usually busy at morning and evening. Parking is difficult , vehicle has to be parked on the road side Chappati and Poori masala is quite good( 3 poori, masala and chopped onions) All vadas are 10 rupees .kara vada and Thair vada are best recommended The white chutney is authentic and thick consistency Dosa, masala dosa are average. Staffs are at service all time and customer friendly. After visiting padmanabha swami temple and near by locations one can surely opt to eat at this place if you wish to have vegetarian breakfast or dinner.

I've been visiting this place when I did my Btech from Trivandrum back in 2010. This is my regular place when ever I visit sri padmanabhan temple. Pretty nice food and a holy ambience.

Simply amazing food! This is a small set up which is just near west gate of Shri Padmanabaswamy temple. Of course the purpose of visit is for good food and not a cosy ambience. The Ada Avial dosa is their speciality. It is made by adding dal to let us say routine dosa batter. It is served with Avial and chutneys. It looks like a normal dosa but is quitr heavy. One regular customer asked me how is the Dosa today since its taste varies at times and on few days it is less tasty!! May be he feels as he is regularly having. For a tourist who just eats once, I feel it was great! Their Rasa vada was average. I say so because that vada was too thick! Rasam was great. They also have Kara vada that is spicy. One of the best coffee is served here. I would say it is a must visit place if you are at East Fort area. Other options arr Annapoorna just beside this and Udupi hotel (100 meters away) on the road towards SP fort hospital. Try!

By sheer luck, I stumbled upon Venkadesha Bhavan when all the other restaurants were packed. My quest for a vegetarian restaurant for dinner led me here, and I must say, it turned out to be a delightful find. I decided to try their ghee roast, and oh boy, it exceeded my expectations. The taste was heavenly, with a tantalizing aroma of ghee that heightened my dining experience. The accompanying side dishes such as sambar and chutney were equally delicious, adding a burst of flavors to the meal. I also indulged in their unique coffee, which was a first for me. To my surprise, the coffee was served in a cup, while the saucer held the milk. This innovative presentation added a touch of novelty to the dining experience. The ambiance, though not remarkable, was decent. Despite their efforts to keep it clean, the high crowd volume made it challenging to maintain cleanliness effectively. Nevertheless, despite being bustling with activity, the service was remarkably prompt. The wash area, unfortunately, did not meet my cleanliness expectations, as the constant rush kept it from being well-maintained. The restaurant has two floors, and I dined on the lower level. However, I found it to be quite congested, which slightly dampened the overall experience. Parking was a significant hurdle, as the street was incredibly busy, making it difficult to find a suitable spot nearby. Nonetheless, considering the quality of the food and the swift service, I would highly recommend Venkadesha Bhavan. It may not boast the best ambiance or the cleanest wash area, but their flavorsome dishes make up for it, especially if you're looking for a satisfying vegetarian meal.

It is one of the oldest restaurants near Sree Padmanabha Temple. We have been ordering from herr for almost a decade. Their Kara Vada is really good. It is really crispy and yummy. I have been a fan of their chapppathy and kurma. It is my go tondish whenever i opt for vegetarian food. We ordered chappathy and kurma, and Masala Dosa. Their masala dosa used to be better. These days, not so much. They accept cash and UPI (Gpay).

Authentic traditional food! Their infamous Kara Vada is actually karumuru bonda! It’s sooo crispy as the main ingredient in it is rice flour! Paired with its onion chutney is a lip smacking cracking snack with their authentic filter coffee. Ghee roast is soaked in freshly made ghee and the aroma and taste screams authenticity! Their portion sizes are good and is very filling!

This is a very old and famous place in Trivandrum. The food that they provide is very tasty. I had masala dosa, ghee roast, and karavada from here. Everything tasted good. The coffee and tea available here is also very good. And they provide food at a reasonable price. But the problem with this place is the lack of cleanliness. I wouldn't go here again because of this issue. This place is not maintained properly. It's always busy here. Only kerbside parking is available.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ One of the authentic vegetarian food places in Trivandrum. Consistency in taste, quantity, service and price from my experience here from 2022 till now sept 2023 as I write this review and I hope it continues. I stay near kazhakootam and this is the nearest best vegetarian food place for me in trivandrum. This place never disappoints me for the 25km up and down travel I make. Their kaara vada is the best according to me. Chapati kurma, ghee dosai and coffee are my most favorite here. Parking issue elaam oru matter illa. Park somewhere far and walk here. Worthu.

This is the second time I had gone there, and the experience was yet again awesome! Food is great, service is good, and cost is extremely low. Trivandrum needs more places like these to cater to the foodie masses. I'm attaching the rate and menu also with this post. The irony is that, the menu doesn't do justice to the quality and quantity being served. Try out their masala dosa, Karai vada, uzhunnu vada, and especially their coffee. This is a place that should be treasured for its awesomeness. Enjoy. Regards ❤️.

Authentic cultural experience ... It's not just food served there it's a lifestyle... A community experience only those who love good vegetarian food and can appreciate humanity beyond borders can appreciate this experience since space is limited and the customers have to sit closer but not too closer. A nostalgic food experience... Food is delicious too I recommend coffee and uzhunnu vada crispy fresh uzhunnuvada with red and white chutney and a strong coffee with it... You will enjoy every tiny bit of it

A typical vegetarian styled restaurant. Quite small and congested. Food is tasty. A snack named Karavada is very popular. They serve excellent south indian filter coffee. Rates are very reasonable. Those who are not bothered about the ambience and/or luxury, can enjoy the classic south indian vegetarian dishes here.

Good place just beside road and near to temple. Options are limited if you are not from south. However you will get Paratha and kurma alongside dosa, idli which makes up for it. It is stretched from ground, 1st and second floor. The people serving dishes are mostly comfortable with local language, but if u ask something else they were staring at our faces. Overall ok.

Great place.... karavadai is spl here.. reasonable rate. Typical trivandrum Tamil style restaurant. No parking available. Cleanliness is average especially if you happen to sit upstairs. The hotel is around at the same place for more than 35 yrs ..

A Good veg restaurant, i could feel it when I entered inside, but chana masala which comes with batoora isn't that great maybe it's trivandrum style, anyway it was a good experience for me, great location and surroundings👍

Situated near SP Fort Hospital (West Nada), this small eatery offers tiffin at cheap rates. Ordered a ghee roast, uzhunnu vada, mara vada and a coffee. The ghee roast was good, sambar and the chutneys were very good. Uzhunnu vada was tasty, though a bit too oily for me. Kara vada, with the chutneys was tasty. Coffee could have been a bit more strong for my liking. The eatery is crowded most of the time, so maybe keep some time aside if u want to eat here.Parking can be a small issue.Overall, it has adequate seating area(in the space available), good service and good food also. Total price - 93 rupees
