This is a nice place for everyone to have a break from all the hustles in the city. Calm and quiet with a lake view and if you have kids then lots of outdoor activities for them like the see saw, different slides and all. There is also boating in the lake and a 12 min train ride inside that both are very nice. The entry fee is 20 per person, the train and boat are chargeable.

Great place to spend quality time with family especially kids will love this place. Miniature train 🚆, Boating and Kid's rides. There is special private beach access meant only for this tourist village. Ticket prices are economical. Must visit place recommended for families and friends.

Nice place to visit with family. Kids will love this place. a very good place to spend evening time for kids and family. It is one of the rush free space inside the city having plenty of green and also a clean place. consists of children's park and swimming pool. Children's park is really good especially for small kids, compared to other parks in trivandrum. An excellent picnic spot, children will surely enjoy as there is play and children park. But reaching the location will be a little tough, but transportation facility is available.

The place is beautiful, but requires a few more things to be done. 1. The boat ride was not functional when I visited. Even if it was, it's a small pool that the boat goes, larger area or into the sea would be fantastic 2. The options for food is literally not present except for an ice candy cart and raw mango cart. 3. Just don't visit in the noon unless you want to get fried. Having a few shades near the beach would help big time. Apart from this, it's a beautiful place with visiting in the evening just before sun set.

Very good spot to spend an evening in Trivendrum. The location of this place is very unique. The lake merges into the sea, beautiful sunset. This place has boating facilities, a nice big park, a good toy train, a very good place for kids to enjoy, and spend around 1.30 to 2 hrs It has very reasonable entry fees and well maintained washrooms Toy train is not operated in the noon till 2 o'clock Overall, it was a good place with family and friends.

Good place for kids and family to spend an evening qualitatively. Nice arrangements and view. Mini Train 🚂 is a good attractive ride for kids and family. Rs 50 per head for adults Children 5~ 12 , Rs 30. Entry Ticket for the park is Rs 20. Except poor managed parking area ( muddy and water bound) , all good... They charge Rs 20 for that also.!!! Ridiculous!!!

It was a satisfying encounter. Even in the afternoon, the lakeside scenery and the powerful sea breeze currents make for a pleasant visit. Adults must pay 20 rupees per head; minors under a certain age may be eligible for a discount. Additionally, ample parking is offered for 20 rupees. To appreciate the fresh wind and the scenery with your significant other, it could be advisable to visit before noon and preferably in the evening. All that's there is a wholesome seashore and park along the lake.

The Veli Tourist Village, Thiruvananthapuram lies between the Arabian Sea and Veli Lake and also provides unique tourism and boating opportunities, visitors can hire speedboats and pedal boats at their convenience. Children’s park and toy train ride are meant for kids, who will really enjoy the hours they spend. A floating cafe run by Kerala Tourism Development Corporation (KTDC) is added incentive but the cost was a little more expensive than the usual menu. A great place for family and friends especially kids to spend a couple of hours in the evening, You can also witness beautiful cinematic sunset. Weekends are mostly crowded, so plan accordingly. Timing: 8 AM to 6.30 PM

A very beautiful tourist village. Very calming, green, scintillating and a beautiful lake with a hanging bridge, boating facility, toy train and a beautiful stretch of sun clad beach. Timings are a disappointment 😔 because they say it is open till 6:30 pm but when you enter after 5 pm they will close entry for boating and no access to beach after 6:15 pm so be careful not to buy tickets after 5 pm because you will just spoil your mood with blocked access to the best parts of the beach and lake boating. Altogether a wonderful lake to chill with family and friends. 😁🚀🏖️🦀

Great evening destinations for friends, family and kids. You can feel the nature away from the city hustle. Good park, boat ride through veil lake is good, fun and and refreshing. This is a quiet and superb place for enjoyment, kids will enjoy for sure. You can find lot of sea birds and wild scenic view. Beach is decent and not crowded so good to come here as family and speed time in shore. Sunset view is superb. You can prefer this beach than Kovalam. This place has kids zone like outdoor games for children, boating, beach , floating bridge, kids train. Boating price is ₹100 per person (not for kids). Speed boat -₹1000 per trip (seperate boat for a family - small Speed boat , can accommodate 5 or 6 person. Train cost ₹50 per person ( not for kids).

Perfect place for a family to spend time together. The place contains kids park, mini train ride, snack shops ,restaurant, medows, beach, boating in lake etc with not much money and not much nuisance . Two parking grounds are there and both are paid. Parking fee is 20₹ for cars ( upto 7 hrs something, not sure). Entry fee 20₹ for adults and 10₹ for childrens between 5-12 years old. ₹10k for serial shooting , 30k for movie shooting. Fee is there for other shootings also. One info : I didn't get time to go to the other side ( beach side) on my visit. Now,I will explain it with pro's and cons: Pros: 1. Parking space available 2. Less entry fee 3. Lot of things to see and enjoy 4. Situated in the banks of Veli lake and close to Veli beach. 5. Even though far from the city, transportation to reach this place is available. Private and government buses, auto rickshaws and taxis are available. 6. Security guards and CCTVs are there. 7. Toilet facility is also available. 8. Entry fee is accepted as both online and offline payment modes. 9.Although not far from the city, away from the hustle and bustle of the city Cons: 1. Parking space will become not enough on weekends and holidays. This will lead into parking on the road side. This creates traffic. 2. Pathways inside are broken and muddy. 3. Some stray dogs are there inside of the village I guess no authorities are taking care of that.also, no issues heard regarding this. 4. Some of the play equipment got rusty and collapsed 5.There is a lack of cleanliness. 6.Toilet is not clean but need to pay extra money. 7. Feeding room for babies is not available 8. The surrounding area is forested and Garbage has been thrown away there. 9. Lot of mosquitos in the evening time.

One of the best places you have to visit in Trivandrum. Quiet & calm atmosphere, good place for children. Water boating, toy trains, and horse riding are also available.. One of the negatives is that there are a lot of street dogs in the premises

a pleasant park for an evening, right on the beautifuf veli lake, with a small floating restaurant. there is a way of walking over the sand to the actual sea beach at low tide, but when i went in the evening, that route was too dangerous. the foliage in the park is nice, the 'modern' sculptures a little baffling, and kids were enjoying themselves trying to cross the 30-50 feet ropes slung between towers. there were a bunch of meghalaya kids visiting and enjoying themselves when i was there. the only bad part are the water hyacinth weeds, and also the garbage that accumulates at the waterfront (plastic bottles etc), although i am not sure what can done about it.

Since our last visit in 2019 during the Renovation phase to completion, Veli tourist Village has gone through a big improvement. Solar power train, boat rides, pedal boat plus plenty of slides. This is an excellent picnic spot for families with >11 yrs children. Unfortunately for the beach lovers, we cannot access it as it's a non - swimming zone. Most of the beach has gone due to water levels going up. Try and visit before 4 pm.

The place had been beautified and revamped pretty neatly over the years. The toy train is especially a highlight. The place could use a little more clean-up in the lake and the beach though. Plus they have plenty of parking as well and the tickets are dead cheap for what you can experience. Highly recommend if you are in Trivandrum

It is a pleasant and peaceful way to end your evening. Got to enjoy the train safari as it can bring u little joy. There is also kids park where u could enjoy as family as well as individuals. Didn't get to ride boat or such as we were a little late. It's a must go place for people who need a break from tiring day

  • 4/5 WanderINgB 5 months ago on Google
Place is good and cheap ticket rates for entry, boating and train when compared to many other tourist places. The beach and horse riding was also good. Overall can spend one day very well here especially for kids. Giving only 4 star due to the food options. 1 major hotel is there which is poorly maintained and full of flies. That's the only thing I hated here which was supposed to be kept well.

  • 3/5 Sreejith N. 6 months ago on Google
It is like paying money to visit the beach. If you are going with family and kids it is good since the kids can play with a lot of things. If only adults are there then it's a waste of money. There are other activities like boating and toy train too which you need to pay extra money. Evening at 6:15 the guards will tell you to go back from the beach and by 7pm they will close it.

Visiting this place after a long gap of 4 years. Tourism department has Renovated this place alot. Parking has alot of space. Beach area entry is till 6.30 pm only. The cafeteria inside the park is not fully functional. Only one out of 3 is working. Way to beach is congested with street vendors. Could have been little wider for smooth passage for the visitors. Most of the items in the childrens park are not working . They have restricted the usage of thise items by tieing some rope. But some are highly dangerous for kids. The authorities may please take necessary actions for replacing the damaged slides. Also during night the lighting in the childrens park area is too low. Which can be improved.

Ultimate children’s park for evening hangout’s as well as weekend getaways. Also ideal for a family mini outing. Lot of area, greenery, flowers and well maintained garden. The toy train is the major attraction where anyone can get a ticket and have a trip around the park. Must visit. Please avoid during sunny hot days. Evenings are the best.

It's a fun place for family(not recommended for friends) to hang out. Boat ride was cheap for normal boats, and a bit too much for speed boat, Their Toy train was fun too, beach view was incredible. Note :- while boating don't forget to see those hawks diving for fish.

This is a tourist spot near Thiruvananthapuram. It's a lake meting Arabian sea. The lake spot is nicely developed. You can enjoy with your family including boat ride, train ride ( which was closed when I visited ) and the beautiful sea beach. The beach sand is Golden and the beach is very wide, long less crowded and clean. A good spot to spend 2-4 hours

  • 5/5 Praveen 2 years ago on Google
Great location to spend the time with family or for a group. Especially in the evening. Kids will love it for sure. Scenic and well maintained. More than a park, lots of area with different sculptures, landscape, fun train, boating and access to beach. We can spend minimum 3-4 hrs easily. Restaurants, refreshment bars etc available. Parking lot also available.

  • 5/5 abigith b. 2 years ago on Google
Nice place to spend time with family. There are many activities for kids and adults which includes slides for kids and for adults include train, boating etc. Entry charge is rs 20. The boating is great with safari ride and speed boat ride. The train ride is also good if you are along with kids. Also the veli beach is also adjacent and we can enjoy the evening there. There is also floating restaurant which is costly. Please note that they take more than menu price in addition to extra gst and found that unethical. Please avoid and buy from elsewhere as it will be cheaper.

A nice destination to spend half day. Old toy train is back. You can see some ducks wandering in kids play area where few kids ride is available. Did not take boating but service seems good. You can get to the beach as well. But can’t go near water as there is some hight tide alert.

  • 2/5 Mohit B. 2 years ago on Google
This place is only for kids and big families having a bunch of kids. Kids might love this place. As an adult visitor I have rated less. There is a mini train which runs inside the park , a full round for 10 mins but while selling tickets they mention it is for 20 mins. For train tickets - Rs 40 per adult and rs. 30 per child. Entry ticket for this park excluding the train ticket is Rs. 20 per adult. There are 2 small artificially created lakes. There are 2 big shells and some 2-3 artistic rock carvings giant size placed inside. Lot of ducks are running around and play area includes swing, slides, etc. Some snacks counter available inside for munching. Floating restaurant looks nice but it is far from the entry. You can spend a maximum of 60 mins here. No more than that.
