2nd largest pond in Kerala..., it have multiple temples on its bank. Situated right within heart of the city. Should have well much more than today. Plastics etc can be found in water.

Beautiful temple with temple pond. The main deity is Lord Sri Varahamoorthy and Lakshmi Varahamoorthy. Devi is sitting on the lap of Sri Varahamoorthy. Separate place for Lord Sri Ganapathy. Usually the temple is without much crowd and open at 5.30 AM. Morning 6.20 Abishegam and Deeparadhanai. The temple will be closed at 7 in the morning and open at 7.30 AM for morning Poojas. Temple will be opened upto 10 AM . Again it will be opened at 5 in the evening and upto 8.30 PM.
